  1. So I guess that’s the anti-#HugWatch? Edit: Just watched the brawl aftermath. Puig was ejected before he could be pulled from the game. They are speculating that he will receive a suspension which will carry over to his new team (presumably the Indians). That is the perfect ending to his tenure on the Reds.
  2. But why would he start?? he could have just as easily come in out of the bullpen, if he was only going to throw 35 pitches. What difference does it make?
  3. The Reds baffle me.
  4. I'm just ready for the whole thing to be over so we can go back to complaining about the lineup.
  5. If we're getting hugs, tonight's the night.
  6. This has got to be that other guy who says Mark A hoards his money. Doubtful....but I see the similarities.
  7. "Sun Sept 8th - Spoon Night. Following the game, kids under 14 can cover their eyes as their parents (and strangers) spoon."
  8. It's obvious the Lyles deal spooked them.
  9. I think you just put Grisham back in AAA next year and call him up after an injury. Braun will probably only play 110 - 125 games next year.
  10. Well, we've got roughly 28 hours until the deadline. I'm thinking things are going to get interesting starting late this afternoon.
  11. You're basing your conclusion on the fact that they made a minor deal for a depth pitching piece two days before the deadline. All I have to say is Wow. Stop drinking your Brewer Kool aid and face the facts. Without Yelich this team would be sub par. Love arguments like this. "Without the best player in baseball, this team would not be as good"
  12. Was just reading an article about ticks. Insidious little jerkwads. They secrete a pain killer that prevents you from feeling the bite which is why they can sit there sucking your blood for days without you noticing.
  13. It takes two to tango and the brewers are not the only team looking for pitching help. It could just as easily be the sellers who are holding things up. And where is this interest from multiple teams coming from? I don't put any stock in a rumor at the deadline. That is just as easily agent posturing for a client as it is an actual rumor.
  14. So much can change in 5 years. Alabama could be what Florida State is now by 2024. All it takes is Saban deciding to retire.
  15. I think you could get a guy like Lamet from San Diego. He's controllable for several more years and has big upside. But why would the Padres want Moustakas or Grandal for 2 months unless they want to win now? Sorry, meant a guy like him but not necessarily him. Coming off injury, lots of upside. I realize I didn't word that too clearly.

  17. I'd be cool buying low on Dinelson Lamet. He's coming off of Tommy John and is controlled through 2024. Not sure I'd want to give up Grisham for him though.
  18. Prediction: UW's 2021 team will make college football playoffs.
  19. I am fine rolling the bones and trading Grandal and calling up Freitas. Worth a shot.
  20. I would like to give a golf clap for the Aye Aye Ron reference.
  21. And Stearns stands pat with that and all our injuries...just bring up another AAA pitcher. Brewers are pretenders at the management/ownership level. Money trumps success! We cannot get to the postseason in successive years without blind luck with young guys or previously so-so players having career years. Man, this place was great the past couple of days. Now we are back to this crap. Lovely. If you are expecting rational discourse, the in game thread during a bad loss is not the place to go.

Yes, we should trade all our bad minor league players for several stud major league players.
  23. One of my favorite Bruce Willis/Sarah Jessica Parker movies
