  1. You know the reason, you just don't agree with it. That's fine, just saying it's not a big mystery. I mean if it's Super 2 that ship has sailed. It could be that they want to build up trade value in someone that has very little right now. I dunno.
  2. "Were you there when Travis Shaw hit a home run?" Obscure Lambeau Field scoreboard video reference.
  3. I actually putzed through the replies to his post, and a significant majority seem to agree with him. I see the occasional "I bought a ticket, I should be able to come and go from my seat whenever I want"...but what else can you do but roll your eyes and move on from that level of selfish/self-centered? That's like saying "I bought a ticket, I should be able to stand at my seat the entire game." Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. (I know you don't feel this way, just piggybacking on your post) I can't stand Bill Michaels but he's right about this one. Miller Park ushers need to do more to keep people from returning to seats during an AB. On the other hand, the people on the other side of the aisle aren't having much of an issue
  4. This is the kind of post the world has been waiting for. Let's go on a streak until the all star break!
  5. But Pina has an 812 OPS in June!
  6. I think he should be up. However, I don't think he's the missing piece to a playoff run. The pitching is worse than the offense. Hiura doesn't fix that.
  7. I look forward to Hiura joining the rotation. Could use an upgrade or two there.
  8. I realize it's asking a lot for a guy to come back from TJ and contribute the next season but Suter's sort of a unique breed in that he doesn't rely on velocity at all so I wonder if he can pick up right where he left off?
  9. I think they just need someone that can throw a big boy pass.
  10. 2019 is a great class and you are right that 2020 is shaping up to be a really good one as well. They just snagged commitments from two out of state linebackers that had some really nice offer sheets. I think UW is set up to have a great run of success in the not so distant future.
  11. We just started watching B99 a few months ago and I can't believe it took us that long to start. Great show. Another one we just started is Veep and I also can't believe I didn't watch it earlier. Absolutely hilarious.
  12. Maybe but if you are getting those guys from the Padres or Rays they are probably going to end up as a really good player.
  13. Provided you have enough sugar on hand and you don't let them sit in the milk too long, Corn Flakes can be delicious. Wouldn't you just be better off with Frosted Flakes if you need to add sugar to corn flakes? You would think but there is entirely too much sugar on Frosted Flakes. It's a fine line but it's there.

  15. Thanks for adding to your already full resume of insightful posts. You come into a thread he starts and your first words are: This entire thread is just silly. What did you think was going to happen? That he would respond in agreeance?
  16. You're parting with Hiura or you're not getting him. Darn.
  17. I agree that the sell scenario is very unlikely and would require the losses to continue to pile up over the next month, but it isn't unprecedented for a competitive team to get a boost from making trades during a down season. The best example that comes to mind are the Yankees in 2016 trading Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller and Carlos Beltran. In exchange they received (among several others) Gleybar Torres, Adam Warren, Clint Frazier, Justus Sheffield, Erik Swanson (Sheffield and Swanson were later traded for James Paxton), and Dillon Tate. On the date the Yankees made the first of those three trades (July 25) they were 51-48 and just 7.5 games back of both the division lead and the wildcard. Those trades ultimately spring-boarded their chances for greater future success. Now obviously the Brewers don't likely have someone they would consider parting with that would bring back a Gleybar Torres type prospect, but if it is clear come the end of July that things aren't breaking their way then they better at least listen to offers on players like Moose and Grandal. White Sox did it in 1997. They were only 3.5 back. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Flag_Trade
  18. To get Boyd I'd pretty much be willing to part with anyone in the minors not named Hiura.
  19. Any because it’s the best shuttle out there. In and out of the game quicker than any of them. This is my place 99% of the time. easy access from the highway? Yes. Exit Hawley, go north to Bluemound. Take a right and it's more or less the first bar after the church on your left.
  20. Bucks had the best record in the NBA so keeping the same team together, an improvement from Giannis, another year in the system, and watching Kawhi go to the Clippers could be enough.
  21. I recommend J&B's Blue Ribbon only because I know the owner and he's a good dude.
