  1. I think he'll do well there. I think he was a pretty good offensive mind and knew how to draft O Linemen....but that was about it.
  2. Please tone down the condescension. As a reminder, here are the rules of etiquette: viewtopic.php?&t=4208
  3. I think we were supposed to maybe notice that Luke wasn't making red streaks with his feet and Kylo was.
  4. Liking this more and more. If he's a bust as a starter, he's a $6 million reliever to get righties out next year. Right, it's an overpay for a reliever if he doesn't work out...but not like paying Garza 12 million to be a mop up man for half the year. It's not a terrible contract in that case. Could be a gem if he can do 5-7 innings of 2-3 runs per outing in the majority of his starts again. I dunno. Swarzak got $14 million for two years to be a reliever.
  5. Well kidd tried to foul up 4 a few weeks ago so maybe he was just planning against himself.
  6. Wilson sent to the Herd. He needs to play. Good move.
  7. I'd be ok getting 2 or 3 high ceiling, young, pitchers for him. Kinda like the Lind trade.
  8. He killed righties at home and on the road. Really, the only issues he had were lefties on the road for some reason. Could become a situational guy in the bullpen worst case scenario.
  9. There is actually a meta-plot reasoning for not having Ackbar do this, and Rian Johnson explained it. When Holdo and Poe become contentious towards each other, we as the audience are meant to choose sides as it were, with Poe, as he's been established as "the hero". We already like Admiral Ackbar. With Holdo, we have a clear distinction between who we're supposed to choose as our "good guy" and root for. With the Dameron/Holdo dynamic, Johnson was given a chance to have a "twist", where the hero's plan failed, and the hero who we didn't like was the one who was actually right all along. that was another thing that bothered me....did they even reference that hidden planet at all before the whole getaway plan was revealed? If so I didn't catch it.
  10. They had a TE catch 55 - 60 balls just a few years ago. Jared Cook was a big part of the offense at the end of last year (he averaged over 9 targets per game the last 6 games including playoffs).
  11. I felt like the only reason they mentioned it was salt was because visually it probably reminded people too much of the Battle of Hoth and they felt the need to say "It's totally different because this time the white stuff is SALT instead of SNOW!" But again, this is unnecessary exposition. You can tell from the cave that it's some kind of crystalline planet. Heck the dogs are made of crystals. If an audience can't figure out its not snow then there's no helping them. Yes this is nit picky but it happened several times in the movie.
  12. I thought it was OK. Some major issues I have: I will say that some of the visuals were incredible. I loved that whole final act on the salt flat with the red on white. Really cool (except why did that doofus have to tell us it was salt? pointless). And some of the shots on the island were great. Also, mark Hamill was awesome.
  13. Move Jeff Janis to the #1 receiver. He just needs playing time.
  14. But does GB have more miscommunication than other teams?
  15. I could get on board with that.
  16. I would be curious to see how McGinn's scouting sources would rate the Packers defense. There is no way they have as much talent as you guys say they do and be as awful statistically as they are. Even if the scheme is bad if they had enough talent they would at least be middle of the road. But as I mentioned I'm fine getting rid of Capers and trying something else. I'd prefer someone younger with some new ideas rather than a re-tread unless that re-tread has a history of doing more with less.
  17. I'd prefer someone younger.
  18. What playmakers has Thompson drafted since Matthews? Their personnel stinks regardless of scheme. Mike Daniels, Nick Perry, and Blake Martinez. But yes, more are needed. It's harder to make plays when the scheme is tired and predictable. Blake Martinez?
  19. I'm fine getting rid of Capers but he's not the only problem. Also Spriggs doesnt appear to be the answer at RT.
  20. Healthy Rodgers makes both of those throws I think. Arm isn't quite back yet.
  21. What playmakers has Thompson drafted since Matthews? Their personnel stinks regardless of scheme.
  22. I checked his splits and there really wasn't anything that went well for him last year. Head scratcher.
  23. I literally had to look at this three times to make sure it happened today and not in 2008. The Los Angeles Dodgers today acquired outfielder Matt Kemp from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Adrián González, Scott Kazmir, Brandon McCarthy, Charlie Culberson and cash considerations.
  24. I also picked him up. I had a first week playoff bye and now it's him or Cousins. Gotta go with ARod.
  25. Good explanation. I was confused watching it live and it kinda looked like Davison was as well.
