  1. No worries. I should have put a smiley face next to my post. I knew what you were getting at.
  2. So if Hart had come relatively close to matching his projections, what would that have done for runs created? Seems like a huge difference to me.
  3. The defense team was smarter than the prosecution in the original trial. Plain and simple. I suppose we'll start seeing this stuff again: http://www.ojtalk.com/OrangeStressBall2.jpg
  4. Unless they're on a jury in an on going court case.
  5. I blame political correctness.
  6. 1. Fire Skaalen. The plate discipline has steadily gotten worse and some of the blame belongs with the hitting coach. I know it's up to the player to perform, but a young team needs good coaching to help them adjust as the season goes on, and the hitters did not. They fired Wynegar and that didn't really do much. I think most hitting coaches are a joke to be quite honest.
  7. Just so everyone is on the same page: Brantley DOB:5/15/1987 Green DOB: 11/2/1986
  8. As Colby mentioned, Brantley's success will greatly hinge on his defense. If he can stick in CF he'll be very valuable. If he's a first baseman.....meh.
  9. You get banned from NSBB?
  10. I can say one thing for Brewer fans: they don't boo as much as Cub fans.
  11. Looks like most infielders are about 80 - 82 with some touching 85 if they're good (so may 92 isn't out of reach if you are a phenom) http://books.google.com/b...result&resnum=1&ct=result
  12. Was Scott Bartell there?
  13. Maybe a crow's hop might give you more momentum than a windup? I dunno. it does sound fishy though. I recall someone saying Dave Parker threw a ball like 114 from right field. Not sure how accurate that was.
  14. Yeah I seem to recall someone saying Tulowitzki threw 95mph to first. I bet JJ is high 80's if that is the barometer.
  15. Agreed. I'm sure guys can 'improve' over minor league numbers but on the whole a guy like Hardy is probably never going to have an OBP 100 points over his BA. I wonder if the guys that improve have higher contact rates than guys that don't? And I think it's more familiarizing yourself with the strikezone than any coaching that can be provided.
  16. My opinion is that guys just have it or they don't. It's rare for something like that to be developed.
  17. The Brewers just don't have good strikezone judgement which is reflected in the poor OBP. You watch teams like Boston or the Cubs and it's amazing how few balls outside the zone they swing at.
  18. They should have fired him for sucking. That band is the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.
  19. Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago whaddya say the Cubs are going to choke today.
  20. So I take it that it's ok to condescend on this board as long as it's not done to one person in particular?
  21. It was a doubleswitch. I wouldn't read too much into it.
  22. I work from home - unfortunately I have a stupid conference call from 2 - 3. I am DVRing the game so I may rewind and watch from the beginning after the call.
