  1. Hey, man, I just want to keep Brewerfan beautiful. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Your response was kind of snarky. I can't blame the guy for being a little upset.
  3. Nice job, Bush. I think that will be the first of several good starts in a row for you.
  4. Gobias, that is a sweet username. (see my avatar)
  5. What is the deal on those pop ups? Do these guys talk at all out there or does each guy just want to make the catch? Man I hold my breath every time the opposing team pops one to short outfield.
  6. I may be wrong but I think the Saber crowd would prefer the high OBP guy.
  7. I was thinking about this during last night's game. If Weeks was benched and TGJ didn't play who would leadoff? Guess I have my answer.
  8. What was that gymnastics movie with Mitch Gaylord and Janet Jones (meow!)? That was truly awful, yet watching Janet Gretzky (nee Jones) in a one piece always gets my attention. Edit: American Anthem.
  9. And mine as well. Not to mention that over the course of a season, Sheets could have a game like this anyway - regardless of a blister. The nice thing is that he was still able to be decent with less than stellar 'stuff'. And some of the hits were after a defensive gaff so maybe 11 isn't a fair total to assign him.
  10. To continue my devil's advocate role in this thread, by animal consumption do you mean any sort of way an animal is used by consumers? I.e. leather products, furs, etc.? I can see there being different 'levels' of animal cruelty. I mean putting perfume in a cat's eye to see how it reacts to me is not much different from dog's fighting. But I can buy the argument that animals raised for food at least provide a benefit to man kind.
  11. I think Russ is saying is that more often than not if you give up 11 hits in 6 innings without striking many guys out you are getting lucky. Eventually those hits will string together and bite you some place south of your equator.
  12. I eat meat....in fact, sometimes I eat non free range meat from mass produced meat plants. Last night I made a delicious chicken dish with artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and sun dried tomato pesto. I just find the hypocrisy on this topic sort of interesting. Read the book Fast Food Nation and see how wonderfully these animals have it before they are killed. I wonder if these were pigs being trained to fight if there would be the outrage.
  13. I think that's a typo. In BA's top 100 players in the minors there are three Brewers: Gallardo, Braun, Inman.
  14. Just wait....looks like he was picked up on battery charges. So in addition to the federal rap against him, he's going to have state charges for beating the heck out of someone. Am I reading that correctly?
  15. Here's a link: www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=5/29/2007&id=24147
  16. Latest news is that he tried to bribe someone. May also have been threats of violence. This according to an anonymous source to JSonline. The good news is that protestors have begun to form in front of the courthouse.....oh wait, they're protesting the fact that he was arrested. never mind.
  17. I had no idea he pronounced his name Jeff-ers.
  18. Braddock has the best K/9 in the minors right? That alone gets me pretty fired up about his potential. The bigger question to me is if this arm issue is going to be chronic.
  19. and his dog, King. I remember watching Lone Ranger and Sgt Preston every Sunday morning. The other old show my brother and I would watch before school was Fury. "Pete, cut his teeth on a branding iron!"
  20. I cracked up just reading that. For me, it's The Cutting Edge.
  21. I think the guy is just a leech on society. Contribute something for Pete's sake!
  22. There's a rumor the new owner may move the team to Canada.
  23. I really hope they don't go prep pitcher. My choice is Heyward.
  24. I wonder if Hancock's dad is just in denial that his son is at fault here. Sounds like he's just lashing out and everyone and anything in order to deflect blame from Josh.
  25. Thanks, Joe. I was screwing up the total bases - counting doubles too many times.
