  1. My uneducated guess is that they'll make a bunch of moves after the draft in June.
  2. Imagine this guy waltzing down Wisconsin Ave! I think it'd be good for Milwaukee. Shake things up a bit, baby! http://www.themightymjd.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/03/noahdress.jpg
  3. I realize that Noah is one of the more annoying people on the planet, but would anyone consider him at #6? To me, he's like Gadzuric, except not completely spastic on offense.
  4. Are you a Cubs fan? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. The link above says Yo gave up 7 hits.
  6. Sollman continues to rake with 2 hits in 2 ABs so far today. Anyone recall a guy that played both 2B and 1B in the majors?
  7. I don't think anyone knows how well Oden can shoot as his shooting wrist was hurt all year. I'd take Durant if I had to choose between the two.
  8. Yeah it's an interesting argument. On the face of it, Portis is a moron. But is dog fighting any worse than raising pigs (who are just about as intelligent as most dogs) for slaughter?
  9. Sollman would be a perfect utility guy. Play some 2nd, play some SS, get on base, and play good D. It seems like every playoff team has a guy like him on their bench.
  10. Zach Braddock with 11Ks, 0BB, and 2 hits through 7. He's certainly going to move up the Power 50. Nice to see Gillespie show some power. He's been getting on base, just not with hits. And Cain is on fire right now.
  11. Yeah, I'm with X. Mentioning a no-no on a message board in no way causes a guy to give up a hit, but for some reason I was miffed that someone mentioned it explicitly in the game thread yesterday. It's just kind of fun to tip toe around the subject I guess.
  12. Today in my office where I work as Director of Quality Assurance, we went to the beach for some reason that was never adequately explained. When we were there, our manager told us to eat hot coals. I thought that was a little bit untoward so I ate a fish. Then a woman I have literally never seen before in my entire life started talking very loudly about something involving Halpert. She was agitated, I?d say. From what I could guess, she was definitely on drugs of some kind, perhaps cocaine, or maybe ?drines. Also, she is a knock-out. She reminds me of a young Daphne Du Maurier. Also, I stupidly ate the fishbones. I told myself ?never again? after the last time, but then you turn around, and bam, they?re in my mouth. I also ate 55 hot dogs in 15 minutes, which is a world record. This made me crack up out loud.
  13. Gillespie is still getting on based as evidenced by his .367 OBP. Considering his BA is only .250 that's pretty darn good. Once he starts hitting, he might put up some scary numbers.
  14. My bold prediction: AJ is going to kill Tony. Son despises what father does, son kills father, son turns into father. It's Shakepeare, baby!
  15. Not sure if this belongs here but I hate the In Game Thread on days the Brewers lose. Thanks.
  16. Yeah I didn't get that either. I saw Shouse and figured the Phils had a couple of lefties up but they were either righties or switch hitters.....although Rowand's hit was just a seeing eye grounder.
  17. Hardy is in another world right now. Actually, he's beyond that. He's in another solar system, another universe, another dimension in time and space. Hardy is in a place that is merely theoretical at this point in scientific study.
  18. In the latest issue of Sporting News there's an article on David Price's pitch counts this season. Apparently his top five are 127, 137, 125, 120, and 128. There are statements from scouts saying how scary that potentially is. There are also statements from Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin saying pitch counts are overrated, you should go by effort and delivery, etc. He goes on to say that since he and pitching coach Derek Johnson have both been at Vandy, not one pitcher has had arm surgery (five years). If you were a GM, would these pitch counts scare you off?
  19. My guess would be shortly after the draft in June.
  20. Finally got around to watching the 'Watermark' and 'Flasher' episodes. Watermark may have been one of the best ever. Flasher was pretty good too - better than most they've had recently anyway.
  21. BBTN is at commercial - Brewers are up next.
  22. Are you kidding me?? Hardy is an absolute joke this year. By the way, BBTN is on right now in case anyone cares. Haven't talked about the Brewers yet.
  23. That might be the funniest post I've read on this board in quite a while. Bravo!
