  1. I saw Pi, but I didn't really like it. The main character was obnoxious. I believe it was one of Darren Aronofsky's (director of Requiem for a Dream) first films.
  2. This may be a lame question, but when does the AZL start?
  3. OK, they finally added the third episode to the Comcast On Demand.....I thought it was hilarious. My favorite part is the old guy "looking". OK, go back to your desk now. In a minute. Like most shows, it seems that the secondary characters are developing a lot more as the show progresses. I just hope they can find enough material to keep it going. (and that new chick is hot)
  4. Hey, how many episodes have there been this season? I have softball on Thursdays so I've missed the first broadcast, but I can pay .99 cents and watch them later on (don't have DVR) and last night I watched two - the Oscar gay episode, and the paper convention....is there another one? In the paper convention one, I spit up my pizza at this exchange: Jan: Michael, I underestimated you. Michael: Well, maybe you should start estimating me. I agree with many on this thread who say it's the little things that make this show so brilliant. The way Michael delivers a line, the expressions on people's faces, and when someone is delivering a monologue how the camera shows scenes to "back up" what they are saying. For example, dwight's girlfriend was saying something about "being in a stable relationship now" and they cut to a scene of her and Dwight just standing near each other without talking in the break room. Great stuff.
  5. Just out of curiosity.... Who do you guys think will represent the Brewers in the Futures Game next summer? I'll say Inman and Cain.
  6. Actually, in the scouting report they mention Volstad's height as being a possible detriment to his mechanics. Not to mention the fact that Volstad's sinker has more juice than Inman's fastball. At this stage, they are ranking on potential rather than results. Hopefully, Will proves them wrong, but BA has a history of favoring tools over statistics when it comes to these things. And it's not like Volstad is ten spots higher either - it's 6 vs. 7.
  7. In the chat, he mentioned that Salome has a big hole in his swing. He had him around 26- 30. (I can paraphrase pay-per-view stuff, right?)
  8. Sally League is now posted. www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/features/262531.html Inman at #7, Cain at #14
  9. I think Crawford rules, but didn't I read somewhere that he didn't WANT to play CF?
  10. No, your wife gets a free pass because she actually has a handicap. I should have given more detail: the girl jogged across the parking lot to get out of the rain. And when I say blond bimbo - it has more to do with her attitude and copious amounts of makeup and lack of clothing than the fact that she is blond.
  11. Healthy people that park in handicap spots. My mom has a fake hip and a fake knee and I always think of her when I see this happen. One time I was at Panera on Ogden in Milwaukee and this blond bimbo in a convertible Miata (or something like that) pulls into the handicap spot. She hops out and walks to the door and I say "You know that's a handicap spot" and she says "Yeah, I know" and I say "So are you mentally handicapped because I don't see anything physically wrong with you" and she says "I guess so". I'm not a very confrontational person, but I was glad I at least told this floosie off.
  12. I'm not sure which prospect would take the honors if we used defense as a metric. Most of the really talented offensive players in the minors are sort of butchers in the field.
  13. Thanks, again boys! First thing I do each morning is check the link report box scores. I appreciate the hard work!
  14. I don't really care to see Mench out there either.
  15. I can see the reasoning behind that, but do you really want to pay a guy $8mil to platoon?
  16. I'm in the chat room if anyone wants to join me.
  17. What range does Dillard normally throw his fastball?
  18. People that pat themselves on the back.
  19. People that pat themselves on the back.
  20. My point is that guys put up gaudy numbers in the Pioneer League every year and then flame out in A ball (see Grant Richardson). I'm excited about Gillespie, but I can't see myself forecasting him on a Brewers roster until he can succeed at upper levels.
  21. I got that, I just think the point could have been made without actually seeing the seed.
  22. A .790 OPS is hardly dominating.....but you're right that college guys should at least get to AA before you can judge their worth.
  23. I thought Millions was lame but that's just me. City of God is one of my all time faves however. And except for the unnecessary pool **** scene, Y Tu Mama Tambien is good too. If you haven't seen it, the DVD's for Band of Brothers are excellent. I never had HBO while this series was on TV and just made my way through the whole series last week. Imagine Saving Private Ryan but with no name actors. Great stuff.
  24. It might be an apples to oranges comparison, but I alway wait until at least A ball to gauge where a prospect might end up. Call it "Captain Lou's Rule". Especially for a college player in the Pioneer League.
  25. He could also be referring to Eveland.
