  1. Prince better be working hard on that defense, he has a tough act to follow next season.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  2. JJ Hardy = Your Nashville Sounds Shortstop of the Future!
  3. I am really starting to develop a man crush for Matt Wise! Dare I say.....I heart Matt Wisehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  4. Sheeter with a couple of mean 2-seam fastballs to Ramierz there.
  5. Unofficially (but I am pretty sure I got them all), During the bottom of the fifth Sheets threw 22 pitches (20 fastballs and 2 curveballs).
  6. Let me stat that I have felt this way for a long time, not just since Lyle's recent struggles. Lyle Overbay is a decent MLB player, no better no worse. He is absolutely horrible with the glove and his lack of power does not make up for the amount he strikes out. He would make a real good complementary player on a team with a solid lineup around him (Boston, Anaheim, etc) but he is not going to be that much of a difference maker in any other type of lineup.
  7. This just in.................Geoff Jenkins still sucks!
  8. Is there anything more annoying than watching a game and seeing a whole bunch of idiots sitting behind home plate talking on their cell phones. "Daghhh look at me honey I'm on TV!!" Man I hate the Cubs, Cub fans, and just about everything about the entire organization.
  9. Don't give up on Billy V.2 yet!!!
  10. Wow, On behalf of the entire Brewer Organization and there fans I would like to thank Neifi Perez for getting thrown out w/ Derrek Lee at the plate!
  11. That's great, two outs and Todd Walker and Todd Hollansworth beat you.
  12. It is really getting to the point with me where I would support trading Jenkins for absolutely nothing. As long as we shed his salary take him. We could use that money to sign Carlos to an extension, a player who actually contributes something on the field.
  13. I know this isn't a good time to post this, following a beautiful hit the other way by Billy, but is anyone else sick of hearing about Jenks trying to go the other way. Some players are pull hitters and some have the ability to go the other way with a lot of success. It seems to me that since Wynager has been preaching to go the other way with Jenkins he has....well sucked. How about going with the pitch as an approach at the plate. If the pitch is away, go away, if it is in pull it and hit it hard.
  14. The Brewers 3rd Baseman / Shortstop wherever of the future with a big blast. Start believing! It's "Billy Time" BELIEVE IT!
  15. I don't know DHonks, the thing that scares me about Jose is the sharp decline in strikeouts this season. Last year he was well above 1 per inning and this year he isn't even close. Is he working on his secondary stuff more, do they have him trying to pitch to more contact, I don't know but something isn't right. It is more of the secondary stats that concern me than the slightly inflatted ERA.
  16. Man, watching Wes Helms play third is painful. I think in the next season of 24 instead of calling in the guy with the Truth Juice to interigate terrorist they should roll in the video of Wes Helms playing third base. Ohhhhh make it stop, make it stop!
  17. Bruce I wasn't trying to single you out, it was just a something that has been bothering me for a long time. I understand what you are saying about past performance, but I think it has been mentioned by some before that Hall was rushed to the majors at a point when he was mentally not ready. He is still only 25 years old and is still developing as a player. Maybe he will regress at some point this year and be the player he has been over the past two seasons, but I tend to think that his mental ability is starting to catch up with his physical ability. By the way, I really don't like Wes Helms right now. Everytime I start giving him the benefit of the doubt (he has been hitting lately) he does something like this to make me not like him so much.
  18. For the life of me I can not figure out why so many people on this site hate Bill Hall. The kid is 25 years old, was rushed to the majors, is very versitile, and has a pretty good bat. He has committed ZERO (0) errors playing shortstop this year and with the exception of Lee and Clark has been the third biggest cog in our offense. He has been much better this year about working the count and taking walks and has shown improvement in the field. I am not saying JJ isn't the future at short, but don't get mad a Billy for being in the lineup. Billy should never sit in favor Spivey or Helms, I don't care the situation. Be mad at Yost for running Spivey out there, but don't blame Billy. He has done everything asked of him this year, and i for one am a big fan. On a side he also seemed like a real nice kid as he spent about 10 minutes talking to my wife and I before a spring training game and was more than willing to take a few photos with us too!
  19. Actually guys I was not aware of that, but it makes more sense in that case. I must have missed him going on the DL, sorry for the mistake.
  20. Rogers with a 2-inning outing tonight, does anyone know if something happened. I realize that young pitchers need to be on pitch counts, but has Rogers worked more than 4 innings since we drafted him? I don't want him to be out there throwing 110 pitches in an A-ball game, but is it to much for him to be on an 80-85 pitch limit. At some point these guys have to be stretched out a little don't they?
  21. Don't know if anyone noticed this or not but Jenkins is 4/7 lifetime vs. Peavy with 3 HR's. Tonight would be a real nice time for Jenks to find that homerun cut!
  22. Can someone explain to me why Helms didn't go home with that ball. I mean he had all his fat moving towards home plate, and the guy breaking from third would have been out by 2 miles. That is little league stuff man. Why is this guy on a MLB roster?
  23. The Wes Helms 3TO = GIDP, K on 3 pitches, and the Error.
  24. Just an update for those of you not listening. Mitch Stetter works out of a 1st and 2nd no one out jam in the bottom of the 8th. 3-2 in the top of the 9th with guys on 1st and 2nd and one out for the Stars. Enrique Cruz batting.
