    The way I look at it I hope it does rain, because with that lineup that is one of only two ways we don't lose today. I really like Yost and the turnaround he and Melvin have had on the Crew, but come on already. How much Wes Helms can they stand. The guy frickin stinks. In our last matchup vs. Clement we mustered 6 or so walks......so let's start Clark instead of Grieve. Man I just don't get it. And then throw in Bennett who seems as though to be 0 - June and July and you have quite a lineup. Let's hope Pods goes 4-4 with 2 doubles and 3 sb's and Overbay goes 3-4 w/ 3 rbi's, cause that is the only way this team will score 3 runs today! How 'bout giving this one a try Yost.     Tribe goes 1-2-3 in their half of the first. Sky Chiefs get 1 off of little Ben as they start the 2nd with 3 consecutive singles (2 grounds placed well, and 1 solid line drive). Ben worked out of the inning and limited the damage with another DP, this one went 5-4-3. Corey Hart leads of the bottom of the second with a groundout to third.

    Little Ben gives up a hit and a walk in the top of the 1st, but gets the 4-6-3 DP ball to get out of it.

    You can complain about both Grieve and Clark as much as you want, but the fact is that both of the are pretty bad. Settle down OBP crew, I know Grieve will take a walk, but his defense is absolutely horrible and I think having him in right field is more of a liability than his bat is worth. Clark is just as bad with the bat. I realize that he has been better as of late, but he is not the answer. Is Corey Hart ready for MLB pitching....I don't know, but could he be any worse than the two we run out there everyday? The 5th spot in our lineup is killing us everyday, well that and the fact that Pods know thinks he is a HR hitter. Nothing against Ginter (I do like Keith) but having him in the 5 hole is doing nothing to protect Overbay. Not to mention the days Yost trots Brady out in the 5 hole.

    No matter what happens here, I don't understand why you leave in Sheets to bunt when he is at 109 pitches. Put in Obermuller to bunt if you don't want to waste a pinch hitter Yost.

    Is it unrealistic to think that if Sheets would have received even adequate run support through this point in the season, that his name would be being mentioned in early CY Young candidate discussions?

    DHonks, I was wondering if that was the same guy too. Obviously it is. Barnes was the draft and follow thirdbaseman that we signed before the draft last year along with Eveland.

    I can see the argument of switching Jenks and Overbay with O batting 3rd, but I think I like it a little better the way the are. With Jenks having O as protection in the lineup Jenks is able to see some better pitches and O seems a little more willing to take a walk in the fourth spot than Jenks. The problem has been the fifth hole. With Jenks seeing the ball well and teams pitching around O, it would really be nice to have someone in the 5-hole who could pick them up when they are on base. Grieve and Ginter have been ok, but I don't think either is a long term solution.

    Sorry about the post on Jones earlier. I turned off the game after 3 innings (wife's soccer game) and Portnoy sounded pretty sure that Jones would be done after his third inning of work. Through three he had faced the minimum, but I guess ran into trouble in the fourth. Sorry about the earlier premature post.
