  1. Holy cow man...I'm all for freedom of speech, but it would be impossible for you to be more negative about this team. If you aren't happy, don't watch, and don't bait the optimistic posters here with your rants.
  2. I'm sure he will, in the shadow of the Grand Ole' Opry, no less. forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=11454.topic
  3. Sorry Brian, I thought I was being humorous in keeping with the "Brewerfan transactions" idea.
  4. The inconsistent way the Brewers have been swinging the bats this year would lead most to believe that Doug Davis will again be either a hard-luck loser or come away with yet another no-decision. That's why the Brewers will beat Oswalt 9-2 today. Lee, Jenkins and Fielder will all go yard, and Hardy will go 3-4 with a double and three runs scored. Davis will keep Houston hitters off-balance all night, and toss 7 2/3 innings, scattering 7 hits.
  5. I'm still in the dark as to how this league's scoring works. However, I do know that without Albert Pujols, I'd be dead last. My pitching has been pretty atrocious so far, namely Bartolo Colon and Oliver Perez.
  6. Yay! That's why this forum is world-class. While I'm sure that there will always be a few "negative ninnies" around here, and emotions will boil over once in a while, I have nothing but respect for the way the moderators run this board. I probably get a little too emotional at times, so I will keep myself in check as well.
  7. Can Badgerfan be traded for past considerations? Does "designated for assingment" mean that we won't be seeing those particular posters around these parts any longer? Because if that's the case, I might just start posting in the IGTs again. I've reclused myself for the past few games because I was pretty close to going off a few times last week, and I really don't want to be banned. It's unfortunate that a couple posters have to muck up what was a very good, albeit frustrating, IGT.
  8. Go back and read last night's IGT. I'm sure you can agree that some of that negativity was unfounded. In my opinion, if posters are going to show up just to complain, there isn't really a point to them being here. I have no problem with negativity when its just, but some of the posts last night alluded to this team being horrible, that they'll never finish above .500, that all the young players will flame out and that Geoff Jenkins is basically the devil himself. I mean, come on! There's no need for that type of posting. Those type of posters are why I made the switch from the ESPN boards to here several years ago. This board is full of knowledgeable, dedicated baseball fans that aren't ready to slit their wrists at every strikeout, error or loss. The season is 162 games long, but some of the posters on last night's game thread don't seem to realize that.
  9. Yay! The sky is officially not falling, and the suicide police don't have to be on call. That IGT was such a nice read compared to last night. I wish they all could be that positive, win or lose. Bravo to the Brewers, and bravo to last night's negative ninnies finding something else to do today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Good God...reading this IGT sucked! Is there any way we can have a whole seprate forum for the "sky is falling" posters? I don't want to read that stuff two weeks into the season, nor do the majority of the posters here I'm sure. The Brewerfan IGT used to be a great read, win or lose. Now it seems that there is more bickering and in-fighting than actual game discussion at times. Tonight it was only a few posters causing the problems. I can understand frustration when the team doesn't perform well, but getting on other posters for being obtimistic at the same time is overstepping your bounds. I'm sure these posters know who they are. If these IGT's continue down the same path they have the last few days, they are going to lose readership (at least mine). I'm not saying that posts (or posters) need to be censored, but I've always valued this site in its ability to weed out the jerks, those who fly off the handle too easily and end up insulting others, and those who couldn't form a coherent argument if their lives depended on it. I don't believe that this forum should only be open to Brewer apologists, but I don't appriciate, as I'm sure many here don't either, the unsubstantiated negativity that reared its ugly head tonight. Guys, go punch a wall or something. Don't start arguments with dedicated Brewer fans about how you think the team sucks.
  11. There's Mr. Gold Glove with the error! Time for some insurance!
  12. I spoke too soon. Lee with a VERY Jenkins-like at-bat.
  13. Good call on the hit and run...no way Jenks was going for a straight steal there.
  14. Wow, Jenkins with a very un-Jenkinslike at bat. Good to see. This has got to be Suppan's last inning.
  15. haha...Gary Bennett is Chad Moeller, only crappier all around
  16. allright Chad! Now bunt them over Douggie
  17. Clark isn't hitting will right now, but he's far from an automatic out. He's been getting some pretty decent at bats.
  18. Hits to Bennett and Eckstein, yet he owns Rolen and Edmonds. Grrr...
  19. Suppan at 68 pitches through 4 innings...at least we're making him work for his gem today. Hopefully he only has enough juice for 5 or 6 frames, then we can get into that sweet, sweet hittable pen.
  20. Wow, that might be the only play that Jeff Cirillo can make that Rickie Weeks couldn't. Weeks would have gotten to it, but would likely have botched the throw from his knees.
  21. Christ...Gary Bennett and now David Eckstein! Come on Davis...I know they are the Cardinals, but at least get the bad hitters.
