  1. JB doesn't inspire me. That, and I remain intrigued by Clayton Andrews.
  2. Tyler Black had a 999 OPS over his last 10 games. If he has a couple more good games this week, I think he'll be starting for the Brewers Friday.
  3. I could see Houser going on the in injured list, just so the Brewers can add a fresh arm. Who do you want to see? I'd like Thyago Vierra.
  4. Our RFs have been a major defensive asset, while Cahna hasn't been as advertised defensively. Not much change their in the overall impact despite the improvement to mediocrity offensively. Santana has been the only real deadline addition. The huge surge lately has more to do with Contreras becoming the hitter we all knew he was, while the bullpen remains amazing and is getting deeper. Getting Woody and Miley back has been awesome.
  5. Cahna is still very mediocre. How didn't he make that catch at the wall today?
  6. Unsustainable for other players. He's literally had those rates before. He's rare in so many ways.
  7. You have the option of skipping reading it. It's like you're own personal ignore button.
  8. Hopefully the Mets put a more acceptable price tag on the polar bear this offseason, and he becomes a Brewer. If we acquired him this offseason, would we be able to make a qualifying offer to get draft pick compensation after the season?
  9. Any comment on reducing exposure versus lefties, or increased exposure versus lefties for Rowdy?
  10. Lol, his OPS versus RHP is worse than the overall OPS of Hiura or Rowdy last year, and significantly worse than there's versus RHP. Wild Bill would likely benefit from an occasional day off.catching is tough work.
  11. As a Megill believer, I really enjoyed this article, and had missed watching Megill's recent outings, so I was unaware of his raised armslot. It would be huge if this huge dude put it together to close out this season.
  12. Maybe you don't know this, but Hiura has been better versus righties throughout his college, minor league, and Major League careers. Also, if you lower his exposure versus LHPs, his OPS goes up. If Rowdy is forced to face more LHPs, his OPS goes down.
  13. Contreras had been great versus LHP, but has been pedestrian versus RHP. If Rowdy was good, he'd had started today.
  14. Weirdest question of the thread. We're near the bottom of the league in OPS, have been terrible at DH, and have a solid Major League OPS player rolling at AAA. It would be weird NOT to discuss this.
  15. Rowdy's OPS was just 2 points higher last year, while enjoying better platoon opportunities. Give Hiura the same ratio of at bats versus lefties and righties as Rowdy enjoyed, and he out hit him pretty easily. Brewers confidence in Rowdy is clearly eroding, as he was missing in action the last 2 days versus rhp. I wonder if Rowdy is going back to the IL?
  16. That's not true in either this year or last year.
  17. Hiura had a major injury this year, and that is was huge reason he hasn't been called up. Now, I don't understand why the Brewers are so invested in Rowdy, but that appears to be coming to an end
  18. Technically, not even close to the definition of insanity ;)
  19. Hiura 10-21 with 5 dingers in his last 5 games. Dump Rowdy or Anderson and get him up! Actually, I understand if they wait until September 1st, but either way, he'd help this team.
  20. Hopefully Adrian Houser can finish strong. He's the starting pitcher to deal in the offseason. Attach a prospect or 2, or maybe a reliever, and get an actual hitter.
  21. His changes were at the request of the Brewers coaches. Obviously, he doesn't have a confidence issue, as he was one of our best hitters a year ago.
  22. I truly despise it when people use career numbers to argue against Hiura when we know his game crashed as his mother went through cancer treatment. It's both inhumane, and irrelevant to the caliber player he is.
  23. They showed some confidence in him today, and Megill rewarded it. I hope he can keep throwing strikes, the stuff is there.
  24. That's market size based on population, somewhat irrelevant to the actual demographics that impact baseball income. It's an outdated was to classify markets.
