  1. It was in several articles after Attanasio bought the team. Brewers were in the 12-15 range. I don't know how the Brewers got saddled with such a bad TV deal, considering their viewership numbers. That's a mystery, a long with why they haven't sold a jersey add.
  2. Attanasio accepting a bad TV deal means we suddenly shrunk demographically? Population and demographics are different. It's about who has money to spend on baseball. Attanasio admitted when he bought the team it was because of these demigraphics.
  3. Demographically, the Brewers are a mid market, not a small market. I'm sure Attanasio appreciates you caught water for him though.
  4. He's worked in the front office, so he knows those realities are made up. Attanasio could spend another $40 million a year on the Brewers.
  5. Biloxi's schedule runs through September 17th this year. Mis should continue to start there through the end of their schedule, and then move to Nashville for a start or 2, their schedule runs through September 24th. As others have suggested, Gasser is the one who should get bullpen consideration. However, I continue to have (likely irrational) hope for Megill.
  6. By 2 points, while receiving proper platoon splits, while Hiura platooned only getting at bats at his bad side, he killed righties but rarely faced them.
  7. Nah, we could contend next year with Burnes if we add a real bat. Then take the draft pick. Try to do in the draft what we did this year. The extra pick gives us a huge pool to work with. I don't want other teams prospects, we have our own.
  8. I think CC might be burned out from working for a cheapskate like Attanasio. CC is a competitor, I'm guessing he despises Mark. I still think he'll be back next year though.
  9. I don't know why Rowdy is such a priority. He wasn't very good last year, and has been awful this year. Hiura hits righties better than Rowdy.
  10. Goal for the offseason is the same as the last 2 years. Add a bat. I hope they don't strike out a 3rd time. Only deal Burnes if we can't add a bat. We have prospects, we don't need to be trading for other teams prospects.
  11. DFAing Anderson is a no brainer at this point. His positional versatility is unnecessary with the addition of Cahna. Anderson hasn't hit in years. It was a worthwhile gamble to sign him, but it failed and its time to cut bait.
  12. He hasn't hit when DHing, so you're already losing his bat. Also, letting him hit when his back isn't loose is dangerous. Counsell uses him in this manner now because of the lack of options
  13. Why are you taking his bat out of the lineup? Leave him in LF. If he can't play LF, then he needs the day off, He hasn't hit when DHing, so no big loss. I'm guessing it's tough to keep his bad back loose when DHing.
  14. Yelich hasn't hit well when DHing, and there's no reason he needs to play there.
  15. Not enough DHs to go around? Only because the Brewers are leaving Hiura to rot in AAA. Sure, he had bad timing with the injury, but he better be meeting us in Texas. This team is desperate for his home runs.
  16. Mis is a lot of fun when he throws strikes, and he's on one tonight.

  18. Lol, so you can erase 50 years of ineptitude of producing major leaguers out of the Latin American market by placing some guys on a prospect list? I love those prospects, but there was a time we loved Lewis Brinson too. You can't say the Brewers are good at this until these players actually thrive in the majors. The best Latin American player the Brewers have ever signed is Orlando Arcia, a player we deemed not good enough to keep a roster spot when he was still cheap. Valerio DeLoSantos is in our top 5. It's an abysmal history that I hope they erase soon.
  19. You still think Perez should be a highly rated prospect? You have no problem with a prospect being back in A ball for the 3rd year in a row with zero tangible progress? Or do you think we went a little over board on him? The hype was through the roof. I simply asked that we let players like him be a guide to avoid the common overhyping of our Latin signees.
  20. Part of the reason the Brewers acquired Ruiz was because they knew certain teams, including the As, used a statistical model that heavily valued Riuz. I think the deal is best described as terrible short term and terrific long term.
  21. I've seen nothing from Brock Wilkin that would suggest a poor hit tool or a need to move off 3B. He makes hard contact to all fields, and can really throw.
  22. I'm not sure Lauer will maintain his velocity if he gets stretched out, and don't trust him any more than the other 2 veterans, but I still agree with your general premise.
  23. Are we sure Keston is healthy? He's been replaced by a pinch runner twice recently, an odd move for a good baserunner, unless that knee is still bothering him. A weak knee would also explain why his power is down despite consistent contact and hits since his return.
