  1. OK, I used to not like beer, but since then I have seen the errors of my ways and I want to try as many as possible. I desperately searched for a beer that would be my gateway brand. The first beer I liked was BerryWeiss and now I can't stand it. It's much too sweet and tastes like grape Crush. Anyway, I guess I'll make a list. Beers I really like: Spotted Cow Leinie's Origional Blue Moon Killian's Irish Red Busch Light Bud Light Beers I drink because they are cheap/available: Milwaukee's Best Light PBR Old Milwaukee Coors Light Miller Lite Beers I can tolerate: Miller High Life Corona Budweiser Beers I hate: Natty Ice (that is the most vile disgusting beer I've ever tasted) Beer 30 *I also wasn't a big fan of the Sam Adams product's I've tasted, but it was a relatively small sample size http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. Dear Ned, I know this may be difficult with Rickie out for a while, but please find a way not to have Counsell and Graffanino in the same lineup. Use any and all means necessary. You can even call up Sal Bando, he'd do less damage there than he did as GM. Sincerely, JumpinMacFlash
  3. First ever haiku Is now in the in-game thread. What a great feeling!
  4. I skipped class today. I'd never wrote a haiku, I needed practice.
  5. Thank you so much. I've paid attention to him since he was drafted, but never saw or heard a pronunciation...I'm sheltered...
  6. I feel kinda stupid asking this, but how do you pronounce Gallardo's last name? I am tired of mentioning him to people and not being sure if I have it right.
  7. I have to be at the Bo Ryan Game in P-Vegas tomorrow...I hope i make it!
  8. I just got plowed on my first adventure into the bars of Platteville. Sang karakoe and got some subs on t he way home! I'm feelin' great!
  9. I would do that deal in a heartbeat. I like Jackson, but I get the feeling he's going to be the odd man out behind Villanueva and Gallardo. As far as Turnbow goes, Cordero would fill his role with probably better results. The better question is whether Washington does this. Would Ryan Wagner be the closer if Cordero was traded?
  10. If the need was for another potential starter, I would probably take Armas (and hope Maddux could work with him) or Trachsel. With Trachsel, I'd probably put him as the swing man in the bullpen. But, like Brian said, I'd rather stick Villanueva or Jackson out there than any of them
  11. I had to bump this thread. It was killing me not to. Went to a party tonight and i'm already trashed. Make that GP'd!!! I love beer pong.
  12. I can't make a gaurantee at this point or even an estimate of tickets, but I am definetly interested.
  13. I had a couple friends over tonight, and I got a little overloaded. A few beers and some Cap'n and Coke and here is where I find myself. Man...gotta argue with the gf less....
  14. I just moved into my house with a few of my friends, and so far it looks like I am going to have to do a lot of the cleaning. They like to leave the garbage out, don't sort for recycling, and don't like to clean bathrooms. I'm not too picky about things and I'm pretty laid back, but I don't want to do everything.
  15. I'll see your James Blunt and raise you a Paris Hilton. The stars may be blind, but I bet they wish they were deaf.
  16. -Chicks dig the long ball...because Bill Hall invented it. -Bill Hall gets has a bonus built into his contract if he slaughters less than 7 pitchers in one season -Bill Hall once pitched a perfect game. During a postgame interview, a reporter asked him how it felt to be perfect and Bill responded, "I'm used to it by now." -"Greenies" are merely Bill Hall's kidney stones. -Bill Hall widdles his own bats from live redwoods...with his teeth. -Bill Hall once won the MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Cy Young awards in both leagues while playing shortstop in high school. -Double headers were invented in an attempt to tire out Bill Hall...the idea failed miserably
  17. I didn't see the beginning of his outing, but I saw him top out at 90 on the fastball. I thought I had seen him hi 91, but I had to leave the game to work on a paper, so I missed a decent amount. I don't know if it is some being defeatest or others being sarcastic about somebody elses sarcastic attitude but there was talk of Ben going on the DL. Is there anything to this. I doubt there's anything wrong with Ben. After he got in the dugout, the shots they showed of him, he was by himself. If he had trainers and coaches around him, I would have been worried. They let him be because it just wasn't his night...I hope. I'm not anything close to an expert, but his velocity was down on his fastball and his curveball seemed faster with not nearly as much break. Methinks just a bad night.
  18. Lil' Ben did pitch really well tonight. I was wondering...I remember reading in the minor league forum that Ben's velocity was up to around 93 mph occasionally in Nashville. Did anyone notice what his high was tonight?
  19. Ouch, that game really hurt. To look on the positive, despite a bad start by Sheets, bad baserunning and fielding by Weeks, a brain-fart by Koskie, and some questionable strike calls, we only lost by three! So I'm reaching...
  20. I didn't see it posted anywhere else, but Russel Branyan signed a minor league deal with the D-Rays today.
