  1. I'd go with the Corey Hart bat myself. When it comes to zombies, you need to make solid contact. I was watching Shaun of the Dead the other day and I was thinking this exact same question. I was debating using my 6-iron, since it's my least favorite club, and I don't have a bat in the house. I'm thinking that a golf club would be totally inefficient in destroying the undead. I would definitely go with an aluminum bat as weapon of choice. By the way, this is the most hilarious thing I think I've ever read.
  2. Logan and UFA are pretty spot on. I know my last relationship seemed to be going along pretty well. She seemed to like the same things that I liked, even took a big interest in the Brewers. I thought that was enough, but it turned out that she wasn't as big of a fan of my interests as she let on. She was doing what she thought I wanted her to, and it got old and very annoying. She tried to be too much like me and she wasn't even close. Some people just don't work. She was just too agreeable. I'm dating someone else now and am a lot happier. She enjoys the Brewers, living near Milwaukee all her life, but she doesn't beat around the bush with me and tells me that she doesn't want to sit there and watch them for three hours every day. There are a lot of similar interests, but she's more confrontational, honest, and challenging, and that makes it better. I guess my point is, having things in common is great, but if you have too much, you already know the person. There's no novelty, nothing new to find out or learn about them. You can't base a relationship solely on a mutual like for the Brewers, but it's a starting point. Nothing will ever happen if there isn't something to jumpstart the two of you. For now, it's something to attract you and give you two something to do with each other, but what's important is what that mutual interest spurs or brings up in addition to it. Basically, don't make a decision yet. Take a couple more dates and see what's up.
  3. I would love to play golf, but I too am not even close to Milwaukee. Any other golfers in southwest Wisconsin? Don't mean to take this off topic...
  4. The best cereal I ever ate was Quaker's Crunchy Corn Bran. It was absolutely delicious and I loved it, but now I can't find it anywhere. Otherwise, I like some form of raisin bran, the Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and Special K with strawberries.
  5. The first time I saw "I am Sam" I started crying a couple of times. I usually tear up at some point during "Forrest Gump" "Forrest Gump" is probably my favorite movie. Whenever I see it on TV, I have to watch it. no matter where it is. If TBS has it on back-to-back, I spend 6-7 hours watching it. I just have to.
  6. I'm a senior at UW-Platteville majoring in communication with an emphasis in journalism and a history minor.
  7. 1. Luis Pena will lead the Brewers in saves. 2. Corey Hart will have more home runs than Ryan Braun 3. The Brewers will have four 20-homer/20-steal players (Hart, Braun, Weeks, Cameron) Bonus: Kendall WILL out-homer Gallardo
  8. Beer. I absolutely love beer. I rarely find one that I think is horrible, and this pleases me.
  9. No such luck. I can't get Madison, Richland Center, Platteville, Lancaster or Prairie du Chien. I might go into convulsions.
  10. This is a bummer, the first broadcast of the year, and I'm completely blacked out in southwest Wisconsin. All I can get in is poorly broadcasted high school sports. Gar...this side of the state is stupid.
  11. Wait...I had a good guess? Wow! That's a first...
  12. 6) Lone Rock (Welcome to Lone Rock, population: Desparation and despair) This made me laugh so hard, but it should totally be higher.
  13. My girlfriend and I and a couple of her friends are considering going to Arizona over spring break. They were all willing to go along with my idea of Spring Training. Now all that has to happen is all the planning and funding to work out. I'm probably in as a 'maybe' right now, but I should know for certain relatively soon. Any ideas on cheap lodging?
  14. I'm irritated at how my winter break is going. First off all, I've been working as a temp at a yogurt factory for every break for the last two and a half years. All of a sudden this year they call me three days before I'm done with classes and they tell me they're not bringing me back. It sucks because I usually can make up to $1200 bucks from them in a month. Now I have no job and no income. No place else around home is hiring and to make things better, I don't have a car so it's hard to get a job at other places that might pay me anything worthwhile. I've been racking my brain and bothering just about everyone I know for odd jobs or anything else I can do to make a few bucks, but I keep coming up with nothing. I was called and offered a temp job paying less than $8 an hour at a place over 40 miles away from where I'm living...I can't catch a break.
  15. For tomorrow, I have to turn in a take-home exam, finish a paper, read a book, and take two tests. Consider me bugged.
  16. Casey, this is the new and improved one. They had been telling me for months to move on and when I finally do, I get nothing but criticism.
  17. My roommates. I just spent an hour getting grilled by them for dating my girlfriend. They have the nerve to judge me and believe that they know my thought process and know what's best for me and what I can an can't handle. Good lord, I don't know for the life of me what their problem is. Neither have room to speak and tell me what I should or shouldn't do. I'm just kinda pissed and waiting for a one-month break from them.
  18. Thanks TLB. I've tried to be understanding, but it just bites me in the rump. The discussions always just seem to come back to me not fully understanding how much I hurt her and how I'm not the kind of person she felt I was and I will never understand how she feels. Ultimately, I know the decision I made was the right one for me, and if my heart and feelings weren't going to be in the relationship, it was probably the fair decision for her too. It was really hard to stick to my guns for the first week or so, but I know I have to be true to myself as well. Tonight was particularly crappy, so I felt like sharing.
  19. I broke up with my girlfriend a few weeks ago after three years of dating and she is taking it horribly. I didn't see us going any farther, and I realized I wouldn't be able to marry her. I didn't see another solution to the problem. Anyway, she's calling me constantly and each conversation turns into me getting berated for over an hour. I want to be a nice person, but I don't know how much more I can take.
  20. "First Time" by Lifehouse. I like Lifehouse, I just do.
  21. I guess I understand what the Reds are trying to do, getting a "big name" manager. Maybe they think they're a far enough along that a proven manager will get them over the hump, a la the 2006 Tigers. I personally don't see it, and I would have stuck with Mackanin. I also shed a tear for Homer Bailey.
