  1. I'm so freaking excited!!!! I was watching the game with my family and my brother and I jumped on each other after the Braun homer and after the Mets lost. I ran outside, ran up and down the street highstepping. jumping and screaming. I was nervous all day and I haven't been so emotional in a while. I cried...I honestly did. My only regret is that right after the Mets game I had to drive for an hour and I couldn't share my joy with all of you sooner. THE BREWERS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!
  2. This site means so much more for times like today. You folks are the people I celebrate and criticize this team with. I'm so incredibly happy right, but I'm equally happy I'm able to share it with all of you.
  3. I'm excited, nervous, scared, unbalanced. I've been waiting all my life to see this. If the Crew loses today and the Mets win, I think I'll be insanely depressed just because I'm so siked up for this game. I just wish it would get started already.
  4. I feel like I'm going to throw up. I honestly can't stand to wait much longer. I've been waiting 22 years for this. I am going to live and die with each pitch today. During yesterday's game I was an emotional wreck. The proper mix of wins and losses today is going to result the most jovial and epic flipout in the history of man. Go get 'em guys!

  6. The only thing I can think of is eating quickly. The other things don't seem to be an issue. I never thought I ate fast, but that seems to be the only thing that seems probable.
  7. For whatever reason, after I eat I always seem to burp nonstop. It's really getting annoying and nothing seems to help. I've been monitoring my diet, but I can't seem to find something that's the problem.
  8. I can't turn my back on this team. I keep telling myself I should and that I don't deserve the daily torture, but it's impossible. It's a long story, but I just grew such an attachment to this team when I was younger and I can't seem to let them go no matter what. They're like a best friend or a loved one that you'll stand by to the bitter end. Even if they don't make the postseason, I still have the six months of memories that I love. I've grown up with this team, and like the rest of you, I've seen much worse. I know all of you feel the same way as me, otherwise you wouldn't be here. That's why I think this thread is unnecessary. In reality, none of us are going anywhere.
  9. The presser is also being show on FSN Wisconsin as a special report.
  10. How can it be a good thing to give up a great talent and other good prospects when the end result is not making the playoffs. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Honestly, if the CC trade hadn't been made, what would the record have been? How much more work would the bullpen have thrust upon them? You had to try and make your move when you're best positioned. I know I like the Brewers' chances with CC more than I would without them.
  11. Well, if Johnson is OK working with Team USA, it looks to me that he probably knows how to handle young players. If you combine that with his major league success, I think he makes good sense. I'm not really on board with Mattingly. I think if someone new is hired, it should be someone who has a successful and established track record as a major league manager. It seems the rebuilding attitude is gone.
  12. Wow. I was completely surprised by this when I get out of class, but this was the first time I was able to post anything. Like so many others who have already posted, I expected Yost to get fired, but I didn't think it would take place until after the season. I'm skeptical about what the effects will be, but what the hell else were they going to do? If he's as good as gone, why not? I also think it should have been done before the season. My initial reaction was impressed until I saw that Sveum was named in the interim. I threw my hat in response thinking that Sveum wouldn't be a different voice, but I've come here for perspective and I've calmed down. If Dale is different from Ned, and if Yount was as well, this may turn out alright. Now there's nothing else to do but wait.
  13. Apologies if this has been resolved already, but couldn't CC have pitched the final game of the series if the Brewers had agreed to move the make-up game to Monday? Sure, but that wouldn't have happened. CC needed to pitch against the Cubs. That game matters so much more than these four did!!
  14. I'm completely anti-Yost anymore, but what good would firing him tomorrow do? Seriously, just wait for the season to be over and scrap it. EDIT: Sorry, forgot about the vent thread thing, but I'm still wondering.
  15. For the first time in my life, I'm really very, very angry/disappointed/depressed about the Brewers. Last year, I wasn't fully prepared for the idea of the playoffs. This year I had hope and confidence and my dreams are crumbling by the day. I love pudding!
  16. I left to play softball and this is the craptastic pile of suck that I come back to? Anger swells in my veins.

  18. If the Brewers lose the second game, I'm seriously going to flip out. I'm going to yell, scream and swear at the TV, burn my Brewers beer coozy in effigy, change my facebook photo to something evil of Ned Yost, have a few stiff drinks, fall asleep crying into my pillow, and refuse to watch a game the rest of the year. In all reality, I'll probably just do the screaming and the facebook photo, but you never know...
  19. If it was really supposed to be a shakeup, put in Rivera and bat him seventh and put Gamel on third and batting eighth. Sure, he might make an error, but at this point will it really matter?
  20. Light....fading from view. Desperation is a stinky cologne... The savior approaches...with a goatee. Praise Suppan!
  21. My last name starts with Mc, hence the Mac. And for the Jumpin' and Flash, I used to run the hurdles, and I was pretty good.
  22. Found this on the Brewers' MLB Store. I could not pass it up. http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/4/73/219701744/n219701744_32628963_8116.jpg
  23. I'm going out on a limb and saying the Crew will actually light up Niese, despite the whole major league debut thing. He is a lefty after all.
  24. About a month ago, I shaved my head and proceeded to spend the entire next day out in the sun without a hat. The entire top of my head was sunburnt. I had a little seepage, but I just put the aloe lotion on and it cleared up.
  25. I don't think it has anything to do with giving the regulars a day off as much as it is keeping the reserves some playing time. With the days off, they've had even less work. That being said, I wish Kapler was subbing for Hart instead.
