  1. I've been dying to get to another game this season, so I'd be honored to be included. Thanks Pedro!
  2. The one thing thats nice about bandwagoners, is that they might get caught up in the team and follow the team regardless of success. Everyone has to get started somewhere, let's just hope they lose the label. Otherwise, yeah, you're right. Edit: my wording was bad.
  3. This Web site is amazing. I know I've learned a lot from reading and posting here over the last few years. It's to the point, that I can't really stand talking baseball anywhere else because comparatively, no one else seems to have the same level of knowledge and insight that the people here do. We're a special brand of nerds. I dig it. The other thing I wanted to mention was that when I come online, Brewerfan.net is the last site I go to because I know I'll spend the most time on it. I'll look at other sports news on other sites, and the coverage of almost everything is more in-depth here. The Off-Topic forum is one of the best places for news or any other information.
  4. One game out of first place and CC on the mound tomorrow, is there a better scenario? Another thing, Sharpie is going for the D'Backs tomorrow against the Cubs. C'mon Doug, show your ex-mates some love!
  5. This is insane. I'm so giddy over this team that I can't sleep right now. Instead of trying to sleep, I'm coming on here at 3 a.m. I love the Brewers. I never imagined this series going this way, I figured we'd be lucky to steal one of the first two. Now I'm worried for the last two games. Paranoia is setting in, I'm not used to this.
  6. I both envy and despise you Jamie. I love BBQ and would love a smoker. How much did that cost to make?
  7. If Stetter is optioned down and Mota is not DFA'd, I really don't understand what's going on. I don't think the Cubs should get that nervous because they do have a good team. The biggest alarm would probably be when Dempster comes back to earth, which I hope happens after July 31. I really don't think he's that good. If that doesn't happen, I don't see the issue for the Cubs. If their starters don't get worse, the bullpen isn't as big of a concern. Soriano is coming back and that should only help. Wood is on the DL, but it shouldn't be a long stint. I don't really see them fading.
  8. My girlfriend is absolutely amazing, but it bugs the crap out of me when I can tell there is something bothering her and she still vehemently denies it. I mean, if you really know someone, you can tell.
  9. Whenever someone writes "teh" as a typo, I always laugh and wonder if they did it on purpose.
  10. Looks like a cross between George Clooney and one of the Baldwins.
  11. And Keith Law is just relaying what Haudricourt reported over an hour ago.
  12. I posted this in the Trade Rumors forum as well, but Haudricourt says that Hammond is included in the deal with Ford. TH Blog
  13. Just reported on Baseball Tonight that the Durham trade has been completed, per Buster Olney. Edit: TH says Hammond is in the deal. TH Blog
  14. Never been a big fan of video games, but I am in love with Champions of Norrath. Also, I never thought it was possible but John Kruk looks as awkward in glasses as he does in a suit. Doesn't really seem to fit him.
  15. The latest on the JS blog from TH. Tom's friend at a San Francisco paper told him Durham's agent was working overtime last night. Also, apparently the Giants are fond of Brad Nelson. Blog Update
  16. That seems like an awful lot. Too much. So if that's true, what happens to Weeks?
  17. That is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I used to mimic batting stances when I was goofing around. I used to try and hit using Cirillo's stance and my coach asked me what the hell I was doing. My favorite was Burnitz, by far. Braun was good too.
  18. Just about any movie with the Muppets would be good. I used to watch The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper when I was younger. I liked them then because, well, they had the Muppets. But watching them when I was older, there are a lot of things kids just won't pick up on and they're absolutely hilarious.
  19. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o140/JumpinMacFlash/RedCrush2.gif I threw this up here last year, so here it goes again.
  20. I would love to play with some other BF.netters, but I'm in SW Wisconsin. Anyone in the SW interested in playing? Otherwise, I may be able to make a trek across to play a few holes.
  21. -I like Ned Yost. Sure, he makes some pretty boneheaded moves, is confrontational, says stupid things, and I wouldn't be up in arms if he got fired at some point, but overall I think he's done a good job in Milwaukee. I'd love for him to be the manager if the team wins the World Series at some point. -I'm getting tired of waiting for Rickie Weeks to reach his potential for a full season. -I also liked the acquisition of Johnny Estrada at the time...sad day. -Whenever I used to look at the interlocking MB logo in the 90s, I couldn't look at it without seeing BM because those are my initials. I was so happy when they changed the logo. -I'm addicted to Brewers T-shirt jerseys. -I obnoxiously dance and belt out the Beer Barrel Polka at each game I attend. -When the Brewers were in the AL, I used to like the Cubs. -I miss Kyle Peterson. -I used to think Bobby Hughes was the "catcher of the future." I still honor him in my avatar. -I would purposely put on boring movies so my ex-girlfriend would fall asleep so I could watch the Brewers on TV. I would also make up lame excuses to avoid a date so I could watch a Brewers game. I know there's more. I need to think some more. Pedro, this is a great idea for a thread!
  22. I hate the use of "It is what it is." It's used so much on that four-letter network that I hate watching it even more. My big thing right now is I hate typing in all those validation keys while voting for Corey Hart. What do I have to validate? That I can type? It's unlimited voting! Seriously...who cares?
  23. In 1999, Jeromy Burnitz was in the finals against Griffey Jr. and lost.
