  1. OOOhhhhhhh!!! "Milestone!" I thought that read Millstone.... I'll check back in 5 years.
  2. He is responsible the steroids embarrassment, the strike of '94 that ruined competitive imbalance, the unfair media revenues that cripple small markets, and propping up bad owners who don't even try to compete. He is also responsible for me being able to watch or listen to every single Brewer 9and every other team too) game from Seattle on multiple platforms for a reasonable cost. Try that with the NFL. If his legacy is ONLY MLB.com and not hounding Baseball-Reference into the ground (like the NFL woul have) that's enough for me.
  3. Please tell me "Intentional Talk" would be going, too There are people who Intentional Talk is for. We just aren't those people. Fan Cave on the other hand is useless. When your ONLY moment is Bronson Arroyo and a guitar, you have problems. It reminds me of what they did to Safeco a few years back. They gave GenY a couple polls and decided to turn the awesome BBQ/beer garden area into a "nightclub" in the ballpark, you knows for those who like to drink a lot NEAR a baseball game but not have to actually watch a baseball game https://foursquare.com/v/caught-looking-lounge/4e359eae8877beb5e9adb182
  4. Why would you ban Selig BEFORE Jeff Loria?
  5. My first decree would be giving the "MLB Fan Cave" a quick and quiet dispatch from this world.
  6. I'm old now. The tubes confuse me. Get off my lawn.
  7. Hey you remember that one time when Jeremy Reed was our 5th outfielder? For two weeks...... Because Corey Hart was hurt.... It's like that. In summation: who cares?
  8. I don't hate it a day later.
  9. They could always make up the draft pick loss with Int'l signings....and before they install the worldwide draft. They could do that with or without the 1st rounder. The two have almost nothing to do with one another. Except budget wise. Last year with two 1st rounders and a supplemental they went very light on latin kids. The budget for player procurement probably in one pool.

  11. That's not how he works. I don't know why EVERY player isn't one of his clients.
  12. I didn't catch this kids name, but we watched his private workout at Maryvale and I wan't one. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8090/8572753678_d09f63d4f0_z.jpg
  13. The rules for negotiating with Mexican and Korean players is already crazy. How do you get around that? What becomes of the Latin American Academies? So many questions. It's a good idea in theory....
  14. I've seen Hamilton with my very own eyes in a spring backfield game against the Manatees. I still don't believe what I saw. He scored from 2nd on a ground out to Scooter. I have no idea what to make of it. Juan Pierre he ain't. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5011/5579674332_4afb16384c.jpg you think rain can stop billy hamilton? by EdgarDiazRocks, on Flickr
  15. i just had to check in to say DAMN this thread is old school!! If only the AL-TRON 3000 would check in to tell us how the Chinese team was all terrorists, or something . . . .
  16. Cowboy Kevin Millar says heeeeerrrrooowww, and for cripes sake they par Eric Byrnes money...to "talk"....or whatever it is that he's doing.
  17. Okay, so THAT'S a pretty good haul for Vargas.... Who needs to field? http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20121219&content_id=40752064&vkey=news_sea&c_id=sea And for anybody who thought Vargas was better than average last year please see the home and away splits and remember the fences are coming in at Safeco http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=vargaja01&year=2012&t=p
  18. Sigh. I wanted the tall one back. Then again I never wanted him to leave in the first place. YYYOOOOOOOSSSTTT!!!!!
  19. To save $1.6 million dollars? Still need a lefty, Doug.
  20. He was hard to watch. That is all. Maybe he'll go to Detroit so he and Prince can fight again.
  21. MMMmmmmm.......y'all get Fresh Hop offerings in Wisconsin? Season is almost over here and I'm sad. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8471/8116114101_64ccd95149_b.jpg
  22. is that really the only difference? revenue sharing? i havent looked to hard, but I couldnt find the amount the Marlins will be receiving. If the Red Sox don't spend the money they saves then, no, there's no difference . . . Except Loria's history and that they KEPT Pdroia and Lester...re-signed Ortiz....that kind of thing.
  23. I think the trade is bad for BOTH teams, and baseball too. The only thing that comes out looking good in this deal is Loria's wallet. Congrats on collecting that revenue sharing money Jeff! Between this and the bottomless Dodgers, MLB is turning into the NBA at an alarming pace.
  24. Nano Breweries have made me even MORE of a beer drinker. I didn't even think that was possible.
  25. And Adam Jones is at 41.1% and 54.9% respectively. There is value here if you run into a few and play good defense.
