Even though Kolb surrendered the HR there it doesn't matter to the fact that he should have been closing it out. The first inning he was in tonight they went down, and he nailed the first two batters the next inning before the oops to Berkman. Regardless don't take it back Ralph because the point is still valid!!

I have to vent a bit, which is something I really haven't done here yet. I guess it is time. Well I am sick and tired of this carousel of closers. VDLS just blew a save for glendon. I am just sick to death of it. Yost just put Kolb in there and let him throw the heat!!! Put Kolb in tonight the game is already over. The bullpen by committee just doesn't work and it cost people wins. Get it straight Yost!! Quit screwing around and just stick with Kolb!! Ok I am done!!

Hey Mr. Wooley!! Glad to have you aboard. Now that you are here you gotta keep our legion updated about your son. Love having a kid with that much talent and wants to be here. Also your opinion is always welcome as well.

Isn't that Fielder kid something to behold?!! Gotta thank Jack Z for proving us all wrong again for his decision on his pick. Thank goodness no Scott Moore!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Colby, Brian, etc have a possible date when Wooley will have his first appearance?

That would be great if Vandy got sent up to High Desert. I would love to see what his stats would be there. Not to mention that the catchers up there can't really hit a lick. I think the only one that has more K's than Foster is Jeff Eure in Beloit. Crazy!! Anyways I hope that they do send up Vandy because he hasn't been playing much. Maybe there is something in the works.

Just glad to have Wooley signed. It will be interesting to see him throw and what kind of makeup he will have against pro competition.

You gotta feel for Pedro. I just don't know how you can pitch that good and you just can't even buy a W!!
  9. BrewDude
I sure hope he does because these third rounders just aren't doing it for us!! Also was Segura sent down because of the surplus of catchers? Obviously it shows that he truly belongs in Helena though.

I agree with you Cress!! I would have jumped at that chance at cash like that. Just hope we can get him signed before too long, so we don't have another Tom Wilhemson deal. I want him to get some reps this season.

Hey what a smart sign of that Barrett Whitney!! Looks like a worldbeater out there. 4-4 with a run, rbi, and batting .378. Wow!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif

We just like to jerk your chain Colby!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

Serves White right for being so greedy. Does he think that Boras and him are going to boss the Yankees!! Get real!! He would have been better off signing with us last year.

I like seeing the Reds doing this because they will then know what they have in this guy, and see if he is worth all the money they have dished out to him. Besides they need to anyways mainly because of necessity of the closer position.
  15. BrewDude
Bring up Belcher to fill the spot. It would be good to see if he can handle the jump!!
  16. BrewDude
How about that Carthage boy!! Just love it when the home town kids play well. Just hope he keeps pitching well and keeps making the Brewers look like genuises for drafting him.
  17. BrewDude
Just glad that the Brewers did the right thing and moved him up. Like I said, he could be a suprise.

It is about time that this is happening because I am really tired of seeing ballplayers that have never even sniffed the minors to be getting that money. Don't deserve it plain and simple. Go to school! See if we care. There will be someone else there to take their place. That is just the way of life.

Some things need to start happening in the transaction area. One Promote Lee to AAA. Two, promote one or two of the pitchers in Beloit. Everyone pretty much is deserving, and a catcher while at it. Joel Alvarado just isn't cutting it, and Foster just keeps Kking. Also let's get Carlos Ramirez up to Beloit, and get Eveland in the starting ro!! He is just too good to be a closer. How about a shout out for Vinny Rottino, a racine native, for what he is doing in Helena!! Pretty impressive for a guy not drafted. I think that's it for now until I think of some more. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Do you guys predict a little piggie-backing as far as the guys coming off the DL?
  21. BrewDude
Regardless of that, this is how all these ballplayers should do it. No more millions to these nobodies. Just have your lawyer look over the legallity of it, and be done with it. They'll probably only have to give a couple thousand dollars instead. Save money, time, and frustration.
  22. BrewDude
That's what I am saying. This board has been pretty high on him and now he is finally earning that praise!! Would like to know just how hard he throws though. Any clues guys?!
  23. BrewDude
    SWEET!!!
  24. BrewDude
Hey when you are up there, chew their ears off and find out when VandenBerg will be back in the lineup. Need more offense in there than what Pedro can muster.
  25. BrewDude
Isn't it amazing how agents get in the way of things!! There really is no need for them. John Stockton did his own contracts, and so did Ray Allen. Ray only had a lawyer there to read all the fine print, otherwise he didn't need anyone. That should be the trend now. Instead of paying out huge commissions to agents, keep that extra money for yourself, or buy your parents something nice, whatever.
