  1. I think the Brewers are going to win the division, although if you would have asked me that in a conversation and I didn't think about it I'd say the Cubs. My reasons for the Brewers winning the division: They have played seven under since their numerous high points in the W/L column and still remain tied for first. The Cubs have played 17 over .500 since their low point of the season and as talented as they are, I don't think they are good enough to maintain a 2/3 stretch throughout the last four months of the season The Brewers have way more talent than they've had the past couple seasons where they've tailed off The Biggest Reason: The Brewers are going to get the best September pick up (along with the Mets arguably) out of any team in the majors, with Ben Sheets coming back In either case, I am looking forward to it being a nailbighter to the end of the season. (Anybody notice my making good use of these tidy features we now have?http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eek.gif)
  2. I"m guessing Parra is going to replace Villanueva in the 'pen next season, with a rotation of Sheets, Gallardo, Villanueva, Suppan, Bush. Or something along those lines. I still stick to my belief t hat Capuano and/or Vargas will be dealt in the offseason.
  3. If the New York bullpen is one of the three best in the league then the Brewers is the best. I'd argue that the Brewers 'pen is better.
  4. I love that the Brewers were sacrificing insanely for 3 innings, only to win it with the long ball. Go figure. I have a feeling that got tired of that...stuff.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Fine by me. And I am sorry by my comment earlier it didnt really belong in the OSL thread.
  5. No i was talking about in the clubhouse to the whole team. I wasn't just talking about Wise I was talking about the squad as a whole. They don't deserve to win this game, but I will say that they have definitely played their hearts out. Shouse and Spurling in particular.
  6. Well even if the Brewers lose tonight I think that Ned is going to finally let it loose on these guys. I could tell he just wanted to on Wise. Maybe it'll wake someone up. Sounds eerily familiar though...
  7. I ask myself the same question every season whether they're good or bad. Especially living in Illinois and having so many friends that are Cub fans. Don't worry I've got my Brew Crew backers also.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I have taken the high road and just take the crap hoping I get the last laugh when the Brewers are on top at the END of the season.
  8. So does the Red Sox deal today being announced make this all impossible to happen? Did it ever mention who the Red Sox were sending to the White Sox in the rumors today?
  9. With the Brewers luck Iguchi would have scored from first on that double. I hate it! On the other hand the Rowand home run helps out a bit!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Has anyone else realized that this current Brewers slide has directly coincided with Woogie's adbsence?? I said that last night. He needs to come back. But I think no IGT would be good.
  11. I nominate the 6 through 9 spot in the brewers line up for Chicago Cubs 2007 MVP. I nominate Francisco Cordero for a close second in that vote, if not a tie.

  13. I think the problem on the road is that our all-star closer has an ERA of probably around 8 on th road so when we actually have leads on the road, most of the time they are blown.
  14. I think its obvious why we can't win on the road.
  15. That is a really good problem to have. Someone hit it on the head though. The Brewers aren't going to get Sheets back before 9/1 so it really won't matter.
  16. Aren't you forgetting Villanueva?
  17. Well now that there is a rain delay maybe we'll receive some news!
  18. I really don't like these things and will be extremely disappointed if we have some of this tomorrow.
  19. Glad to see that we've started this up. We're bound to get out of this funk! http://ignarski.tripod.com/brewers-back.jpg I've got this bobblehead doll. I like to bring it along to the games i go to. http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/image/1999/jul/yount725.jpg http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/photographer/57/5769_thumbnail.jpg
  20. How can we forget some of these guys... http://www.thediamondangle.com/archive/mar02/brew_pix/lopez.jpg http://www.thediamondangle.com/archive/mar02/brew_pix/bako.jpg (Paul Bako) http://www.thediamondangle.com/archive/mar02/brew_pix/buddie.jpg (Mike Buddie) And I'm surprised that this guy hasn't appeared here yet... http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/image/1999/apr/gar418.jpg
  21. When is Woogie due back? I think he should try as hard as he can to get his IGT's up again. I would hope that the people that have filled in would take no offense, as at least someone is creating one. There's only one problem though: The Brewers don't do very well.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. i think this thread is bad mojo.... Well whenever we seem to consistently update it, the Cubs lose, as you can see tonight. Again I suggest a Bless the Brewers thread, but I don't know what anyone else would think. It'd be a good place to designate all good Brewer mojo.
  23. In the rotation I think Zambrano has the advantage over Gallardo just because he has the ability to go late, where as the Brewers are keeping Gallardo's innings limited. With that said, I feel it is better warranted to compare Suppan and Marquis and then Vargas and Marshall. Vargas and Marshall is advantage Brewers, where as lately, both Marquis and Suppan have been about the same situation: faltering mightily. I think that the Cubs have the slight advantage there though. I also feel that Hill and Bush are pretty equal and could go either way. On the offensive spectrum, I think that Theriot right now may have the advantage over Hardy as he continues to hit better lately than Hardy. Ramirez and Braun could go either way also.
