  1. I get the feeling that should be in blue...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. It's definitely looking better though, I'm not going to lose hope!
  2. I thought Hall was batting fifth? Why is he sixth in the lineup up there? EDIT: I just saw the Brewers site, nevermind. Interesting though...
  3. Yeah, I'm supposed to go to this game. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to missing two days of school for the game, but I guess that's what getting tickets in December warrants. Let's hope it passes over, but I'm doubtful.
  4. I'm going to the game Monday, and I am really worried that it's going to be cancelled because I'm missing the first day back from spring break (and of course, more importantly baseball practice http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif). If the game was postponed, would they move it to Tuesday, or later into the Summer because that could cause a lot of complications. Junior year's starting to heat up so I can't afford to miss too many days the rest of the way.
  5. You've got me in. I won it last year in my group of friends, but I didn't play with Brewerfan.net. This year's should be a bit tougher though, I'd expect.
  6. I'll be there with a friend opening day. I'll be decked out in Brewers' gear. I'm hoping to see a lot of Brewer fans there.
  7. I think the teams offense at the end of the season (arguably the best in the NL) represents the type of offense we're going to see the next couple years. A line up of Weeks/Gross (RHP) or Hardy (LHP)/Braun/Fielder/Hart/Hardy (RHP) or Gross (LHP)/Hall/Catcher aquisition or Estrada will a very scary offense. I personally would not mind seeing somehow a "professional" type hitter that Doug was talking about in his press conference in that two spot instead of Gross, who could then split time with Hall as a lefty/righty platoon. This is going to be a very good offense.
  8. It'd be ironic if this team only ended up with 82 wins by barely getting over .500 for the first time in a long time after they tried to relive the 1982 team all season long. I really hope they just trash anything to do with that team (including the uniforms of which we had a 5-9 record in) and create a new Brewers legacy. This might be a pointless post though because they could end up with 83 wins still.
  9. I'm going tomorrow. When I bought them a few weeks back I was hoping it would mean something, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way. I'll definitely stand and cheer for them though.
  10. I'm sorta' hoping that they can win their 82nd tomorrow when I go. I know that's selfish, obviously I still hope they win today. I'm interested to see how the fans are too, hawing.
  11. Yeah, I thought they looked cool on television. Especially if it was just an overnight idea.
  12. Yeah, I think we might need some new blood in the bullpen, and I doubt they'll be able to retain BOTH Cordero and Linebrink. Linebrink will be cheaper and might actually be of more value if u take money into account, but there aren't a lot of closers like Cordero. I hope we use some of the trading chips we have to get a solid bullpen.
  13. Well off the top of my head I think they accomplished the realization that they need basically a whole new bullpen this offseason. And there's still that winning season I wouldn't mind them getting... Wouldn't you think that that 2005 team could have arguably had better pitching than this team? That's just off a whim of my head (if that makes sense), but i think that is the year we had Sheets the whole year (I may be wrong on that one) and Cappy won 18 games. I'm pretty sure Davis was decent that year too. And we didn't blow five run leads all the time. Yeah, but we definitely need a bullpen.
  14. Hart definitely. Prince after that though.
  15. I didn't see this anywhere else, but I don't think they could have put this show up at a better time. I'm sure glad this guy is our owner. Makes me feel a lot better about the Brewers after a tough loss.
  16. I'm pretty skeptical. I don't think they've got much of a chane any more, just because of how difficult it has been to get ONE game back, and now we have to get basically two.
  17. Yeah, I would love to see them sign Sheets to a contract that would end right about the time that Gallardo is due for his payday. I'm in LaLa land thinking about five years of Gallardo and Sheets at the top of that rotation with the type of offense we're going to have in that time span. Get it done!
  18. I like him a lot he's really come into his own. Him and Bill compliment each other well in the booth, also. That's something that I don't know if it was there when Darron was here. We've already talked about that relationship though. As I said, I really like Anderson, he's definitely come into his own as the season has progressed. I hope he stays for a while.
  19. I'd say Sheets is right on par. Although it'd be nice to see that K rate rise next season.
  20. Cooper blew his chance when he pitched to Theriot with a runner on third and two outs with Hill coming up. It's a 2-2 tie if he just walks Theriot and pitches to Hill.
  21. I bought my 9/30 ticket (basically to stand down on the pavillion), and we only have seven more road games and ten home games on the schedule.
  22. As a kid, I'm probably one of those that you would think is a bandwagon jumper because I like to wear my Brewers shirts when they do well, especially when I live in the central northern border of Wisconsin and Illinois. The people that know me however, know that I am a diehard and have been a supporter even through their worst times. It's funny some of the comments I get from Cubs fans that are teachers about whether or not I'm an actual fan or not. I've definitely seen a lot more Brewers shirts at school though, amongst the students.
  23. I have no idea where I found that picture. I think I actually saw it in a thread somewhere on here, and I selfishly snatched it up to use as my avatar, and its been there for a while now. I'm pretty sure BrewCrewIn 2004 hit it on the dot with why it was taken.
  24. Well, it says on the official site that Villanueva will be starting still tomorrow night, and if it were to be any night for Vargas to return, I'd assume it'd be tomorrow night so that is a good sign.
  25. I'm not sure if this is anywhere else, but Vargas has been activated. I'm wondering if this means we aren't going to see any more starts from the CV that should be starting? I'm going to be honest that would basically take away all the joy I've had watching the Brewers this past week if that happened. I really hope they just keep him in the bullpen for mop-up duties.
