    Man, two innings of Linebrink followed by at least one from Hoffman. What a nice luxury to have in late innings.

    I wish I knew the Brewers record in extra innings on west coast trips over the last 6-7 years. I can't remember ever winning an extra inning game out there.

    Can anyone see into the future and tell me if we're gonna lose this one??? I don't wanna stay up til 1 a.m. to watch a loss (yet I can't pull myself away in a tie game!).

    A fly ball a foot away from being a home run and a double robbed on a diving catch...gotta love that luck! Man, when you're on fire everything goes your way...i.e., the way of the Padres.

    No kidding...SD has won 9 in a row and there are tons of empty seats.

    This is the type of CRAP that happens to us on the west coast. You can mark it down, we will lose this game in the bottom of the ninth on a Dave Roberts bloop single. I've seen it a million times...it's the same old song and dance EVERY time we go out west.

    Anyone else think that if Cirillo played every day he'd be putting together a really nice season? He seems to be hitting the ball very well even in limited time. Sometimes I can't help but shake my head at all the offense on this team and realize we're only .500. Something's not right.

    Roberts ran hard into the fence and got a little shaken up. He's staying in the game though....why do I get the feeling he'll come back to bite us in the butt with a game winning single in the ninth now. Not trying to be a pessemist but that's just the way things go for us on the west coast.

    Oh and on Miller's baserunning decision....it was a tough play because it was a comebacker that went right over the pitcher's glove. If he was going on contact and the pitcher snags it, we're all whining about how stupid the "run on contact" play is because he would have been out by a mile. Bottom line is Hardy didn't get the job done. No excuse in that situation...you've got to find a way to get that run in. So if we're blaming anyone, I'm blaming JJ.

    I wouldn't go that far. The only reason I was surprised is because Rickie strikes out a lot. Otherwise you've got a ground ball pitcher on the mound and a hitter in Hardy who seems to hit a pop up or ground ball whenever he doesn't get a hit. Good move by Bochy, IMO.

    And how often does Daron say "(insert Brewer pitcher name here) has held opposing batters to 2 for 31 with RISP" and next pitch the guy gets a hit. Who cares if I'm superstitious! Knock it off Daron!

    IMO, we'll never see Tomo in a Brewers uniform again. If he does come back in a couple weeks, I have a hard time believing he'll be all that effective with a partially torn rotator cuff.

    @#%$. This is one that we should have had. We should have taken the lead in the 8th and then the bad call on Cirillo cost us a run in the 9th when JJ doubled later on.

    What did I say about that turd behind the plate! We get squeezed in the bottom of the 8th and suddenly there is a corner when we're up in the 9th.

    Anyone else think this ump has dinner reservations for about 10:30 pst? Lehr can't get a call to save his life.

    Where the heck was that pitch?! BTW....Cubs have scored 5 runs their last 7 games! Been outscored 47-5 during that period. That makes me smile.
