  1. As much of an unbelievable great comeback that we had on Friday, this was an unbelievably pathetic effort. Any time you have a 3 run lead late in the game you MUST get a win. And with all the chances we had late in the game.....ugh. Let's hope this isn't the start of a trend and take out our frustrations on Pittsburgh. Dammit, we could have been 4-1!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  2. Should we just forfeit and save the rest of our bullpen for another day? Because attempting to score is a lost cause.
  3. Here comes the Jenkins patented K/double play/pop-up.
  4. Can Geoff lay down a bunt??? Gotta get Overbay to third with less than two outs.
  5. Phew...if Turnbow boots/bobbles that ball no one was covering first. Let's get some runs!
  6. Have you ever seen a WORSE clutch hitting team than the Brewers? Seriously, this is unreal. All we need is a freakin' fly ball to the outfield and we score a run. I'm not a big fan of suicide squeezes but why not?
  7. Can we ever get a clutch hit??? We've got 5 runs on 14 hits (plus a couple of gift errors)...the Cubs have 5 runs on 7 hits. Hitting with RISP looks to be the same HUGE problem that it was last year. Gotta get this win!!!! Come on 'pen!
  8. $hit!!! PLEASE GOD LET CARLOS BE OK!!!!
  9. WOW....great job by Mr. Hendrickson!!!
  10. It is beyond my comprehension how in the hell Ned Yost can justify putting that pile of crap Helms on the field every day. I don't care if Helms hits .400 the rest of the year, he is BY FAR my least favorite Brewer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  11. I'm thinking of going to live up on a local billboard until the Brewers score a run as a charity promotion. I could get people to sponsor me for every hour I'm up there. It would be a great way to raise a few thousand dollars. Maybe I could do it in conjunction with the Brewers organization...you know, go live on one of the signs by Miller Park for the CAP fund. I'm sure it would be a nice ploy to get people to come to the park. I might be up there for a while, but I hear the weather is supposed to nice for the next week or so. Food donations will be appreciated.
  12. That was a gift run! But I'm surely thankful. The question is now whether the Brewers will be able to get one more run (without the help of a bonehead play by the Cubs) while continuing to shut them down.
  13. I don't really know, but I'm a big MU fan too so either way it's good for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  14. Great...now Wood is getting 4 inches on the inside corner. The guy doesn't need any help from the ump!!! I hate having an atrocious offense!!!!
  15. Jose Macias??? IMHO, the Brewers have about a .01% chance of winning this game.
  16. No, we won't make the playoffs with that record but it would build some positive momentum that this franchise hasn't had in over ten years. Casual fans will start to think the Brewers are on to something, buy more tix for next year and start a positive flow that will end in payroll being increased. While I'm against trading away the future, I think that acquiring some sort of bat that will help the club reach 85 or 86 wins will be a great PR move and only help the reputation of the club.
  17. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I were a betting man, I would put a large sum of money on the Cubs today. It pains me to say that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I couldn't agree more. Although the funny thing about baseball, is that when it looks like it's a lock, it usually isn't. *************************************************************** What did I tell you!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif What a nice way to get home from work!

  19. we can't get a hit with one guy in scoring position, what are the odds Hall will hit one with two guys?
  20. Is it me, or does Bill Hall remind you of Wes Helms?
  21. What a horrible inning. Lead-off error. Questionable call by the ump. Wild pitch. Bad play by Pods. Triple my a$$.
  22. As happy as I am to see Prior out of the game, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rusch shut us down for the next few innings...that seems to be the way the Brewers go against mediocre pitchers.
  23. Melvin needs to trade some of our bullpen for no other reason than we don't need 8 guys out there. The starters have shown that they can consistently get through 6-7 innings meaning that guys in the pen are not going to get as much work. When you have guys like Burba, Kinney, Bennett, Wise etc. that only pitch once every six or seven days they are bound to be ineffective when they do get the chance. I'd be happy to have Adams, Viz, and Bennett as setup men, Kolb as a closer, and Burba and Wise as long relief.
  24. this could be a HORRIBLE way to enter the break. son of a b!tch, i do not want to lose this game!!!
