  1. Hopefully, Bushie pitches with a little chip on his shoulder today. This is his old organization. The one that gave up on him.
  2. Those Marcum splits are impressive. In his last 10 starts, only once has he given up more than 2 runs (4 on 5/21). I remember the knock on Marcum always used to be that he was a fly-ball pitcher, who gave up too many homeruns. Looks like he's knocked that off so far in 2008. Seems to often be a victim of minimal run support.
  3. This Blue Jay rotation is full of some real live arms. Curious how a team with a rotation featuring Doc-Burnett-Mcgowan-Marcum is under .500? Don't get to watch the Jays much, it'll be fun to see Lyle back at Miller Park and I'm eager to watch Mcgowan throw.
  4. Lefty on the mound. Hmm.... so many options for Yost. I'd imagine tonights line-up might look something like this Hart-RF, Dillon-2B, Braun-LF Prince-1B, Cameron-CF, Hall-3B Counsell-SS, Kendall-C, Soup or Dillon-Counsell-Braun Prince-Hart-Cam Hall-Kendell-Soup ????
  5. He's also shaking off Rivera alot. Maybe Kendall should start calling pitches from the dugout?
  6. Green Light for Hart on 3-0. Nice Move Yost
  7. Road Trip By The Numbers: Wearing the Blue Alternative Jerseys: 0-3 Wearing the Road Greys: 2-0 See. Figuring this road woes stuff out is as simple as laundry.
  8. I exhaled and then smiled. Nice win. Not beauty but it hardly ever is at Enron.
  9. Who designed this park? Enron Field: The place where "Lima Time" went to die.
  10. Didn't the Astors have a guy named Winky Wright a few years back? What are the odds of having both a Winky and a Wesley Wright in the same organization. Coop loves the pitching change.
  11. Ugh... I didn't even realize Ausmus was still alive?
  12. This band-box they call a stadium is crazy.
  13. Whoever did that last year needs to re-create the color coded/warning system bullpen chart for Ned again this season. Another solid start for McClung...a hanging curve to Berkman was his only bad pitch all-night. This team's defense is a comedy of errors on the road.
  14. So against a lefty...Hall moves back to 3rd and Dillon plays 2nd? Hopefully, Hardy shows some of his former ways in the 2 hole. His 2005-07 splits show some solid numbers hitting 2nd http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/splits?playerId=5908&type=batting3 By Batting Order AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB HBP SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS Batting #2 682 102 186 32 2 29 99 48 1 88 2 3 .273 .320 .453 .773 Batting #3 34 3 7 1 0 1 3 3 0 9 0 0 .206 .270 .324 .594 Batting #6 3 0 1 0 0 0 0 2 0 1 1 0 .333 .600 .333 .933 Batting #7 47 5 11 4 0 2 6 7 0 10 0 1 .234 .333 .447 .780 Batting #8 297 34 76 18 0 7 33 32 1 30 0 0 .256 .330 .387 .717 Batting #9 29 4 6 2 0 1 3 2 0 6 0 0 .207 .258 .379 .637
  15. I'll be at all 3 games this weekend in Denver. Excited to see Sheeter go to tonight.
  16. Work has moved me to Denver now, so I'll be at all 3 games this weekend. It'd be great if this offensive outburst continues on the road.
  17. Line-ups via TH... Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks CF Gabe Kapler LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Russell Branyan C Jason Kendall SS Craig Counsell LHP Manny Parra Diamondbacks SS Augie Ojeda 1B Chris Burke 2B Orlando Hudson 3B Mark Reynolds CF Chris Young C Chris Snyder RF Justin Upton RHP Micah Owings LF Alex Romero
  18. Coop has been quick with a hook all series. Gotta think if this continues, this Astro bullpen will be burned up by August.
  19. Bush is just following the same pattern as his last start...solo shots in the 1st and 2nd then its operation shutdown.
  20. I don't know. I'm 50/50 on it. This line-up makes some sense. The meat of Braun-Fielder-Hart-3T0 is intact. At least, he's not hitting Dillon third. Yost has done that from time to time. Kendall cant catch every game, although he's trying. So Rivera, who's hitting decently, is fine with me. We lose a lot defensively between the two...so that gives me pause. But Kendall has also been slumping at the plate, so maybe this makes sense. Cam was swinging at everything last night and has struck out like 9 times in his last 12 ABs, so I have no problem giving him a day off. He needs it. I do have a problem sitting Weeks. He's seemed to get things together decently on the homestand...getting on base, scoring runs. Doing a nice job in the clutch. Same with Hardy...he's had a nice week. Getting hot...hitting doubles...going to the opposite field etc. So not sure I'd take his hot bat out of the order either. The Crew has two off days in the next week so it's an issue of giving guys a break. I guess its more an issue of giving the bench some abs.
  21. Game starts in 20 minutes, guess I'll get this up Here's the Brewers' lineup via TH: 2B Joe Dillon CF Gabe Kapler LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Russell Branyan C Mike Rivera SS Craig Counsell RP Dave Bush
  22. Remember a few years back, 3TO is mashing wearing these light yellow sunglasses even while batting and then next thing you know a majority of the line-up follows suit and starts wearing them. Pure Entertainment
  23. Get your t-shirt on! http://images.cafepress.com/product/131436058v1_240x240_Front_Color-AshGrey.jpg Also...Hurricane: Here's a quick read on 3TO. Its dated, 2003, but applicable.. "In short, the Three True Outcomes are plate appearances that end with events that do not involve the fielders: the home run, the walk, and the strikeout" http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=2518
  24. McClung and McRib! Let's do it right tonight boys
  25. http://tampaspartans.athleticsite.com/images/sethmcclung.jpg Yes! Seth "Dressed for Sucess" McClung. This is a picture from Thursday. Seth conducted interviews for the job of "my third pitch". We'll see which one won out tonight
