  1. I'm not watching just gamecasting from an airport. How was DD's reception? Did Miller Park clap, boo, do nothing?
  2. Guys you just have to go with SgtClueLs and his Mench Boo-ing. Its kinda like a reverse jinx mo-jo type of thing. It's worked great these past few weeks.
  3. After reading this I immediately thought "the Giants should go out and sign Benito Santiago again". He seems to fit with the general direction of this organization and what they're trying to do. Go get em!
  4. Come on Cappy! Capuano has been one of my favorite Brewers since his arrival here. Its time to snap out of the funk. Besides Hudson and Jackson, the Dbacks struggle mightily against lefties. Maybe this is the night Cappy gtes off the snide. Dbacks vs. LHP split
  5. Not sure the SF Geriatrics have scored 4 runs in a game all season.
  6. Matt Cain is 3-10 with a 3.53 ERA. Poor Sap. Dear Giants: I have faith in you. You can get at least 1 of these final 2. That's all I'm asking. Just a split.
  7. I hope the crowd at Miller Park gives Doug a nice response and ovation tomorrow. The guy gave Milwaukee the best years of his career. Pure class
  8. I have a feeling we might be seeing Craig Counsell at 2B tonight. I think Ned may go crazy heavy lefty against the rookie.
  9. Good read on Petit's history and career from a D-backs fan blog here. Not overpowering, flyball pitcher who mixes his pitches and speeds well, has command of the strike zone and smart LINK
  10. Hats off to Bushy too. In early June, the guy was 3-6 and destined for the bullpen. Now a little over a month later he is 8-7 (5-1 since 06/06/07) and a throwing quality start after quality start. With Sheets down for 2 weeks, Bush is like the new temporary staff ace? Now thats crazy!
  11. That was totally unfair. Coco was pure domination
  12. Line-ups Chris B. Young CF Orlando Hudson 2B Eric Byrnes RF Chad Tracy 1B Conor Jackson LF Stephen Drew SS Mark Reynolds 3B Miguel Montero C Micah Owings P Milwaukee Brewers Corey Hart RF J.J. Hardy SS Ryan Braun 3B Prince Fielder 1B Johnny Estrada C Geoff Jenkins LF Tony Gwynn CF Rickie Weeks 2B Dave Bush P
  13. I was thinking the same thing Briggs. The fact that the MRI revealed no further damage is the best news of the day.
  14. Maybe I confused, but isnt this the Brewers first series either home or away against Arizona this year? I'm pretty sure of that.
  15. Yes! Is that John VanderWahl in RF? Menched!
  16. If needed then...probably Matt Wise. 2 innings and then two days off.
  17. Line-ups Colorado R. Spilborghs lf K. Matsui 2b G. Atkins 3b T. Helton 1b T. Tulowitzki ss B. Hawpe rf Y. Torrealba c C. Sullivan cf R. Lopez p Milwaukee C. Hart rf J.J. Hardy ss R. Braun 3b P. Fielder 1b J. Estrada c G. Jenkins lf T. Gwynn cf R. Weeks 2b B. Sheets p
  18. Series pitching match-ups: Fri: Capuano vs. Francis Sat: Sheets vs. Lopez Sun: Soup vs. Cook
  19. Yeah its definitely Capuano. As soon as the guy who runs brewers.com wakes up I'm sure that'll be changed. I guess Ned wants to keep Cappy on regular rest given he's just making his 3rd start off the DL. Just a guess? Please throw strikes and try not to walk hitters batting below .100
  20. Tough to say. The Rockies are one of the hottest teams in baseball and Arizona has been near 1st in a very tough NL West all season. This team doesn't seem to make anything easy.
  21. Hmm...Here are some Simontacchi splits. Given that the game is at night and in RFK, I like the odds of putting up some runs. You never know, but it looks like this guy hates RFK and prefers day baseball. vs. Left: .279 vs. Right: .364 Home: 8.39 Road: 3.46 Day: 4.50 Night: 6.90 I'll be at the game again tonight. Go Soup!
  22. I have safely landed in DC and will be in attendence tonight at RFK. I'm going to pray that Bush's curve is biting and the now crushing Meathook has an off-night at the plate. If FSN-WI shows a guy with a Miller Beer Pen Blue ringer Tee and a 1980's Road Cap along the 1st base side. Thats me
  23. Yeah. Sheets is at 90 pitches thru 5. He threw around 125 on Saturday. Might be a tad fatigued. Just another reason why calling this game would have been a good idea. Hopefully, the Brewers can do some damage against their bullpen and Villy can lock it down.
  24. I just did a google image search on Bernie Brewer and found this hilarious picture of Bernie in a Christmas suit sitting at a piano. Why did Adam Larouche decide to become good this week? Kinda reminds me of Marlon Byrd in that Rangers series.
  25. Gorzelanny at 86 pitches thru 5. Likely going to get into that Bucs bullpen very soon
