I actually think both have caught him. With a day game on Thursday, I guess that means Moeller with catch Obermueller. Now I know for certain that is a change because Bennett has caught all his starts. Looks like Grieve is good to go.
  2. Wow. This is a very interesting development. I have tickets to this weekend games at PNC, so that would be cool to be in the stands for his Major League debut. SBS As for Hernandez, he is scheduled to go on Thursday. THURSDAY?S PROBABLES - RHP Adrian Hernandez (NR) vs. Alex Graman (2-2, 3.38)
  3. Yeah Bill I think Ned will play with the line-up a bit. Maybe go with this...Overbay is going so well. I don't think Ned would even think of resting him and starting Helms at 1st and Ginter at 3rd, but I might be wrong. CF Pods SS Hall 2b Spivey LF Jenkins 1B Overbay 3B Helms RF Clark or Ginter C Moeller P Santos If Spivey is still out move Ginter there and keep Clark. I wouldn't be shocked to see Counsell start, given that Ned started him against Glavine a week ago. But I'll go with Hall since he went yard yesterday.
  4. Given that Sunday is a Sheets start. Ben is usually, except Opening Day, good for a minimum of 6-7 innings. Coupled with the fact that Monday is an off day. So I think our bullpen could handle a bullpen game on Saturday. Looks like Cappy will pitch Saturday for Indy. So he'll probably get a start in Pittsburgh or maybe the Thursday game in Puerto Rico? SBS

  6. Good work by the Crew. In all 3 victories, we spotted Montreal at least 3 before making our run. I remember how dejected I'd get in the past whenever we'd get down more than a run or so. Not any more! Anyway. I agree Ben Ford just cannot get the job done. The dude always seems to come in and walk the 1st batter he faces. That only drives your defense and especially your manager crazy. My guess is that his days or hours are numbered. I say bring up Reichert. The dude has a past as a starter so he can give us innings if need be. Enough Ford talk, I'm going to enjoy the victory and get ready for Ramierez vs. Santos. Since Davis gave us 8 solid looks like we'll be going with a Wise-Kinney-Kiesh combo on Sat. heck if Reichert is up by then have him pitch an inning or so! SBS
  7. I'm with you MassBrew. I knew all week that the game wouldn't be on FSN, so I assumed no MLB.TV. Now I hear the good news of being able to see the game on the stadium feed with Ueck and Jim's WTMJ call. I'm pumped. I hope MLB.TV has the video and audio on the same page. No fun seeing Jim Powell call a strike only to see it 15 seconds later. As for Kim, he started the year in the bullpen and was lights out. This is just his third start for Montreal this season. He won his first two starts of the year against two very good ballclubs in LA and St. Louis. He has a solid artillery with a mid-90's fastball with good movement, complimented by a nice curve and change-up. Against ST. Louis he got in a bit of trouble with walks. He issued 4 free passes in 6 innings that bubbled up his pitch count causing him to leave after 6.
  8. In the Bottom of the 7th, Durrington Phed for the Kiesh. Why? The Kiesch is a much better hitter. Note to Ned let the Kiesh hit and have Durrington run for him. Just not seeing why he did that? I'm following the game via MLB Gameday so if what I said above didn't occur then I apologize. SBS EDIT: Glad to see me and bernieh are on the same page. Welcome Aboard

  10. How many innings will Santos be restricted to? 4 or 5? Can't imagine him going much past that? Then I guess either Kinney or Adrian come in for 2 or so? One thing we have going for us, is that Jimmy Haynes has been horrible at GABP Career at GABP: 1-10, 7.41 (64.1ip, 53er), 13gs, 1cg
  11. greg... I was watching that game via MLB.TV. Obie was cruising and then in the 6th he seemed as if he starting throwing batting pratice. Getting way too much of the plate and becoming very predictable. Looked like a total mental meltdown. Just an ugly game no matter how you slice. Both teams looked bad, but hey its been entertaining. PS...Who Loves Big Brooks?

  13. Big Unit. My guess is Ned will try and implement some more righties into the line-up. May go with something like this... CF Pods SS Hall 2B Spivey LF Jenkins 3B Ginter 1B Helms RF Clark C Moeller P Davis Just a guess.

  18. Here is what TSN says about him Assets: Cooper has two solid major-league-caliber pitches, with a 90-plus mph fastball, and a biting slider that is a benefit when spotted well. His mechanics continue to improve. Flaws: Mental toughness is Cooper's biggest question mark. His stubbornness often gets in the way of his making the proper pitch for a situation. And it still remains to be seen if he'll ever grow his confidence enough to really go after hitters, especially the big boppers, whom he has traditionally pitched around.
  19. I think Brian Cooper will actually be going to the mound for SF today.
  20. I know Clark and Ginter are playing today. Clark will play right in place of Grieve, but who will Ginter replace Spivey or Helms?
