  1. Helms is working hard though . . . I hate you Wes. If you just leave town now, I'll pretend you never happened.
  2. Ned Yost still doesn't know anything about making a lineup, and I'll stand by that claim. I can't wait until the lineup is: Helms, ss Bennett, cf Jenkins, 2b (He's go to bat third, its not like they have a lot of optionshttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif ) Counsell, cf Durrington, rf Magruder, 1b Overbay, p Clark, c (he works hard catching extra bullpen sessions on the side during the week, that grit will come in handy behind the plate) Kieshnick, 3b
  3. I'm late tuning in again today. So let me get this straight. The Mets have plated 10/11 of their baserunners today and we've plated 3/10. What a sad, sorry ballclub this is right now.
  4. Can we just take the roof off now?
  5. Good idea Ned, Good idea.
  6. This is what I like to call the Mieske factor. As soon as I make fun of a guy for sucking, or question a lineup, those players will do well. I named it after Mieske after constantly ripping on the guy everytime I saw him playing in person and he'd end up doubling and going 2x3 or something.
  7. I didn't know he stated that he wanted to give Overbay a few days off. I completely understand that as I believe he's in a bit of a funk, might be tired from playing 100+ games for the first time ever . . . But seriously, I could see giving Pods a week off and Jenkins I'd like to see take the rest of the season off.
  8. Trent Durrington . . . my god, in the two hole? He's got to have incriminating photos of someone, now the only question is: Who?
  9. I just can't stop laughing. When does Jenkins get a freakin' day off? I'm just asking . . . Wow, this is just so absurd . . .
  10. I just tuned in, and I saw 18 at first base. Am I drunk? Dead? What's the deal here? I guess Yost ran out of spots to put Overbay so he just took him out of the lineup. He did say we were running out of options.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  11. I with you guys. I'm still watching Brewers. Thinking about what a [explitive] Mike McKenzie is, but still watching and rooting for the Crew. I'm actually eagarly anticipating September so I can watch Yost not play any of the kids http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif This should be a good series with the Mets. I like the matchup. I look for Branyan to go 3-13 with 3HRs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. I'm telling you, if the Crew could get to the playoffs against an all power pitching team they'd win the series! Also, notice how we are staying out of the GIDP tonight and therefore scoring some runs? We get so few runners that any GIDP negates any chance for us to ever score runs in bunches.
  13. Way to go Wes. Keep laying down reasons why we should never play you again. And while you're at it, give us back some of that money we gave you.
  14. Hey Darron Sutton . . . I hear Greg Maddux has 298 career wins, maybe you should drop that line again . . . [/sarcasm]
  15. Can we stop calling for the high fastball EVERY TIME we have 2 strikes on someone?
  16. I think I would pick Clemens as the guy to get us back over .500 We struggle versus all the soft tossers, and no-name guys. So why not bring in a guy who likes to throw the fastball for a team full of guys who like to hit the fastball. C'mon Crew. I promise if you get us back over .500 people will continue to visit these fine threads. If you slip below .500 the Packers will take over our minds and hearts.
  17. I can feel we are getting closer to seeing some minor leaguers up with the big team . . . I'm thinking some of these guys won't be coming back home.
  18. Soooooooo, that went well . . .
  19. Kiesch eh....hmmmmmmmmm we'll see how Cerrano handles the curves. Or all fastballs, guess they don't scout our two-way players.
  20. I'm taking bets on how we screw this up. I say K and then a DP.
  21. I predict a 1-0 win in 45 innings tonight. Sheets will go 33 1/3 scoreless innings. Podsednik will go 2x13, but be caught stealing both times he reaches base. Solo homer by Gary Bennett, catching his 24th inning, to win it.
  22. What if I slice it like this . . . The Brewers are 47-45 in their last 92 and 4.5 back of the Wild Card with 70 games to play.
  23. A schooner is a sailboat . . . . Cardinals are red, stupid-head http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  24. Evidently, the Brewers season is over. 2-4 over a 6 game stretch and no one is excited anymore? Well I'm guessing they are going to take it to the Cards tonight. Jenkins and Overbay have been hitting well, and I'm sure since Cousell is batting .115 against Williams we'll see Bill E Hall in there tonight. Or at least I hope. It would be nice to see a big first inning and let Victor take over from there. So that's what I'm predicting. 7-3, on the strength of a 5 run first inning! GO CREW!
  25. brettac1 - I took the liberty of posting your commentary and links in the thread as well. Didn't want to lose your good work. Jenks aparently owns Williams http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
