    Does anyone ever stop to think that Jenkins might be an arrogant ****** that doesn't listen to reason (Wynegar). His sucking is a product of his own actions. His swing never changes, he tries to pull the ball 90% of the time these days, and he's just getting old and crusty. The Jenkins of old will never be back, never, ever, ever. Please quote me there . . .

    Why though? Helms is hitting near .300 on the season in limited duty. Magruder hits well against lefites (much moreso than Jenks), Hardy has been coming around as of late when he's played (as pointed out in another thread) and well, I can't defend Moeller/Davis, but I never could.

    What is this game called again? Base-ball? I had no clue, I thought we were talking football . . . no, I wasn't. Did I say cut? Nope, sure didn't. Spivey for some crappy A-baller sounds fantastic right now. But thanks for putting words in my mouth and assuming I don't know how this sport works

    1. Yes, a much better job than Spivey can do 'saving' this lineup. 2. He'll replace Spivey, who will be sent packing. Hall can continue his 6 starts a week between 2B, SS, 3B. I don't think Weeks is going to come up and instantly be a 40/40 guy, but we aren't talking about some middle of the road prospect who is 20 years old. We're talking about a polished hitter, who is destroying AAA pitching. Yeah, he's going to take his lumps, but all he needs to do to be better than Spivey is not K every 3rd at-bat and hit about .250. All very reasonable requests.

    Someone let me know when we stop pitching to Kent and Drew . . . other teams stopped pitching to Overbay when he was killing them, but we keep throwing stuff over the plate to these guys.
