  1. Cool. Based on the fact that the Earth has about 5 billion years worth of tread left on its tires, that styrofoam container can degrade 5,000 times over. Heh. BTW, I do not advocate littering.
  2. Were you planning on throwing millions their way or what? All this talk of "donations this, donations that" leads me to believe that you might. Otherwise...meh.
  3. Get out of here, you dream about watching baseball everyday too? Would've never guessed that, this being a baseball fan forum and all. Anyway, just got off work, about to go work out and then go watch the NCAA championship. I'll make it through the day without the Brewers. Wasn't long ago we had 6 months to wait.
  4. Are you happy with your current wireless service provider? If so, head to one of their stores and start looking at their PDA phones. I have an HTC Mogul, which is a PDA phone with Windows Mobile 6. It basically runs Windows. It is a bit pricey, but it handles my day-to-day stuff remarkably well. In addition, it has a full QWERTY keyboard so typing on it is a breeze. Some people are more comfortable with the Blackberries. I've never had one, but the people I know who do have them are very happy with them. The Blackberries are so addictive, they have a nickname - Crackberry. They do all of the same schedule and messaging type stuff, just a little differently. Again, best bet would be to head down to a store and take a look at what they have to offer. Make sure to get a feel for each phone, see how it feels in your hand, and definitely how easy (or difficult) it would be for you to type with it.
  5. They already have Time Warner cable? There wouldn't be much of a need to sell them on that, then. They will however get a small discount towards the high speed internet.
  6. Have another computer? Try it on that.
  7. I guess it's difficult enough... And like I said, this is not exactly a top of the line contract that FSN threw at the Brewers. B-team contracts lead to B-team personnel.
  8. Las Vegas is a different type of city. You can't really measure it how you would other cities. For example, when you fly or drive in to other cities, you see a skyline dominated by office buildings. Here, there is a skyline, but it is all world-class hotel/casinos and condos. 17 of the biggest 20 hotels in the United States are in this city.
  9. It's nice going back to old CDs that you haven't listened to in a while and jam out for a while. Thank you The Roots - Phrenology.
  10. My advice would be to uninstall it, reboot, and re-install it. Something might have been funky with the install.
  11. That's one thing that my current home, Las Vegas, is missing. But let me tell you, it definitely has a big city feel. There are over 2 million people in the metro area now and it is still growing at an out-of-hand rate. In my opinion the world class entertainment and 24 hour service for ANYTHING really makes this a big city.
  12. I guess if I were going to nitpick, I'd rather have a quality team on the field than a quality team in the van producing for a bad team on the field. Once the Brewers get a better TV contract, you've got to assume that the production value will increase.
  13. You were going to a game and saw people wearing the same colors? Get out of here. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. http://www.tbje.com/images/WBC.gif
  15. In middle school I had a friend named Phomphasone Phromkharhonarhok (sp). His nickname was VV. (Veevee)
  16. Also a lack of Waffle Houses.
  17. bobbledude, stoutdude, dude. I need a dude name to be in this thread. Anyway. Log in to your paypal account to verify that the money is received after you get the 'money sent' email. You can link a bank account to paypal and that will allow you to directly transfer the funds from your paypal account to your bank account, which takes about 3 business days. If you don't want to do that, you can have paypal send you a check. That takes about two weeks.
  18. Your definition will change if you ever make it to Manhattan. It puts other 'big cities' to shame. Even Los Angeles, while a picture perfect example of urban sprawl, pales in comparison to the big city that is the big apple.
  19. Just to clarify, he has scored a run in 17 consecutive games dating back to last season. This beats Paul Molitor's streak of 16 games that he set in 1987, during his hitting streak. 17 games for Weeks also ties a National League record. Pretty impressive for a guy who a lot of people seem to be down on after struggling a bit in Spring Training.
  20. Someone you knew keyed your car? How else would they know it was your car in the parking lot?
  21. When I worked at Harley-Davidson Corporate, we were able to buy bikes at well below MSRP, and the payment was taken pre-tax out of the paycheck. A steal. This deal was available to family members of employees as well. Not to mention that we had various other offers through partners such as Dell and other retailers.
  22. Quite the compelling argument there. I totally understand why I wouldn't want to go to Murphy's, and why Bernie's is that much better.
  23. Nothing? Absolutely Nothing? Then why play the game? 1/162 is pretty close to nothing. 0.006
