    I love Gonzo too, but that's a standard cut play on a throw to 2nd in a 1st and 3rd situation with less than 2 outs Yeah, but it hasn't been that standard in a Brewers uniform for a while.

    Alex Gonzalez is awesome. I love the way he came in on the grass to take the throw from Luc, anticipating that he was going to throw home shortly after.

    I would like if some of the bullpen could throw strikes.

    I am pretty sure I drafted him for a fantasy team way back when he was with the Jays because there was talk that he would close at the time. I think Jason Frasor ended up getting the gig instead.

    I have both of them on the same team in a couple of leagues. I think Trout definitely will be up for the rest of the year and produce. Very tough to say with Harper.

    I am really getting sick of Paul Goldschmidt sitting a few days a week to get AB's for Lyle Overbay. Kirk Gibson is becoming public enemy #1 in my home.

    I think Parra will be a solid contributor in the pen this year. I've seen reports that he has been lifting mental weights and has set personal bests in some categories.

    If he has another monster year and they miss the playoffs again, does he get it this year? It's a pretty pathetic team outside of he and Kershaw, so I think that is the most likely scenario. I thought he got hosed last year (even though it was great that a Brewer won - don't get me wrong there) and I hate the idea that it's his problem that the rest of his team sucks in the eyes of some voters. It wasn't as bad as Ted Williams losing to Joe Gordon in 1942 or anything, but I still felt he was deserving of the award.

    What was amazing was how Stras just blew him away.

    Yeah, just cycle through them all until you hopefully find one that is competent. Guys like Dillard, McClendon, and Chulk are basically just human white flags, anyhow.

    I think Vin Scully said something along the lines of "I would rather have free time than be in Cleveland" after that series, and that was the last time he did national work, as well. I believe he was doing the national radio broadcasts then.

    You would think "you get to watch Matt Kemp live and in person" would be enough of an incentive, but apparently that doesn't work.

    The AB he had the double in was just terrific. He hits like a man. And that throw!

    Spent a fair amount of time in the car listening during today's game, the first time I listened extensively to Block since spring training. I thought he did a pretty fine job. I have heard worse radio broadcasters, and even worse TV ones.

    Pretty awesome to hear Vin Scully call his first AB. Old enough to be his great grandpa.
