  1. The evolution of "Tracyball". It worked wonders in Pittsburgh.
  2. Yes. And it was based mainly on his spring training stats.
  3. This is the first time I have been excited to turn this team on in a few weeks.
  4. I'm going to miss doing spit takes hearing his name mentioned as the "heir apparent" at 2B. The local sports talk guy in Wausau literally said this in the dumbest segment I have heard in sports talk history.
  5. I don't think Maldonado has proven anything as far as being a good offensive catcher. He has had a decent first 46 AB's in MLB. Outside of last season, he had been atrocious in his minor league career and had been equally atrocious to start this season in Nashville. His numbers will fall to where they should be by the time Lucroy comes back and make the "debate" over Kottaras and Maldonado pretty pointless.
  6. He's made me very happy that I drafted him on all of my fantasy teams this year. I think the highest I took him was the 17th round and that was in a 14 team league.
  7. The part that doesn't age well is that he has always had a low batting average for his whole career. He's not a .285 hitter that loses a little bat speed and becomes a .250 hitter. As I said earlier in this thread, low batting average is part of the skillset. Guys that age well that have patience and power were also able to carry an average. Players that age well do a lot of things well, not one or two. That's why Ryan Braun is the guy that you look to extend if you have to choose between him and Prince Fielder. There's a lot less of a chance that four skills (just an example) will fall apart at the same time and leave you with a useless player than there is that two will.
  8. I have it on my PS3, my phone, my Roku, and my laptop. If there's live baseball going on, I'm able to watch it wherever I go. It's amazing to always have that. I never could have imagined it when I was a kid.
  9. I'm in market, but I have FSN, so I don't care about Brewers games. I have it so I can watch the rest of the league. This season it has been instead of the Brewers since they are generally unwatchable.
  10. I don't find them to be much of a problem at all. Especially since all of the games are archived.
  11. Yeah, it is time for a new offensive revolution to begin. I miss a high run scoring environment.
  12. I recommend any fan buy this. It's worth every penny. Especially if you have a bunch of devices to use it on.
  13. The term has also been used for several years in fantasy baseball, particularly in auction leagues.
  14. Mike Trout is going to be stiff competition. He's absolutely amazing.
  15. Brady Clark deserves a spot as the 4th OF.
  16. Axford did it figuratively today, but he has yet to take it next level like Perez does.
  17. http://deadspin.com/5917235/indians-closer-chris-perez-celebrated-earning-his-20th-save-by-projectile-vomiting-all-over-the-mound No description needed.
  18. Yeah, this was clearly a work. Unbelievable. Bob Arum has done so much more harm to boxing than Don King could even imagine, yet since the sport is down people don't realize it. He's stopped Mayweather/Pacquiao from happening so far, and that's way down the list of egregious things he has done to the sport. Probably the worst decision since Lewis/Holyfield I, maybe.
  19. He's just an absolutely superb player.
  20. I'd rather have Youkilis.
  21. Yup, so did I. And that was my post. He was a better hitter than Jeff Liefer, though.
  22. Pacquiao should win this pretty easily.
