  1. Rueter is precisely the pitcher that kills the Brewers - a soft tossing lefty.
  2. Wow, the silence here is deafening. I have to get up for work at 3:30, so I hope they can at least score a run for me before I go to sleep.
  3. Although they are a "rival", I'm glad to see them playing Lane for once. He's always been a nice player, but he never has gotten the chance. It's also about time they make Burke an everyday player, as well. I think if they stick with an OF of Lane, Berkman, and Taveras, and play Burke and Ensberg everyday, they will still have a really good lineup. Granted, Ausmus is the worst player in the league, and Bagwell is cooked, Everett doesn't belong in the lead-off spot, etc., but they are still a decent team with a really nice rotation.

  5. Tonight, it actually may make sense to play Cirillo. One of few times I will probably support it.
  6. It's just so unfortunate for Branyan. Once it looks like he's finally going to get his just due, something else pops up and derails him.
  7. Yep, I think that's really the only bad game he has ever had against the Brewers.
  8. Secondly, didn't Obie shut down the Astros last Sept? That's great and all, but hopefully Sheets gets well now and it's irrelevant.
  9. Not with only 38 innings at AA. If Eveland was ready for AAA, he'd be there already.
  10. Should I become Dr. Octagon or something? Maybe halfsharkalligatorhalfman?
  11. Those are theie first flyballs of the game, so I guess the offense is improving!
  12. As in "they must being going to win a game sometime"?
  13. otherwise the 2nd half of our lineup is a little scary A little?
  14. I wouldn't have minded that one bit. I'd rather have the guy with more power in the lineup.
  15. I would have to say, I think he threw more than 3 innings.
  16. No doubt about that. He needs to realize when he is being pitched around. Once he starts to walk, maybe he can turn into a take-and-rake guy.
  17. Wow, great minds think alike, I guess.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. Jenkins is batting .100 higher against lefties this year. 14 AB's does not a season make.
  19. Brian, when you sort on the organizational stats page, the sort is only recognizing the first digit of the total. In walks, for instance, Prince is the leader when you sort, however Overbay really is with 11. But when you sort, it looks something like this: 7 7 6.... 11 10
  20. You know, that team might score two runs on a good night. I also wouldn't be shocked, though I would be angered, to see Hall start at SS to give Hardy a day off.
  21. Well, he's only faced him 11 times. Also, these two pitchers faced off in an excellent game at Miller Park last year, where Trent Durrington hit a HR to tie the game, and Keith Ginter won the game win a bunt in extra innings.
  22. Thank you, Brian. Who's to say what a "closer" is. It's a myth in my opinion. If Doug Melvin says Mike Adams is the closer, then he is, therefore he is a closer. He's the best pitcher in the bullpen, what should Bottalico get the last three outs instead because he's a "grizzled vet", so he has the "mentality"? It's one game.
  23. is anyone else tired of this crap? we are still 4 years away from a winning record. everyone who believes 3TO is the answer is an idiot and never played baseball past the 8th grade. that's why they're webmasters. we're penciled in for 5th place. hopefully attanasio can fix it, but probably not. here's to 4-8-92 finally giving up........surhoff off of rick aguilera. i'm done. go badgers I always love the "you don't play, so you're an idiot" guy. I never realized bar leagues and beer innings were an enlightening baseball experience, but apparently for this dude they are. This is what happens when people look at one game and say "they suck" - this season is 162 games long. The team has played 10 games.
