  1. A police officer's strongest(and best) tool is his/her use of discretion. Seriously, this is horrible.
  2. We could do what Houston does, and have a different color pennant for each kind, one for WC champs, One for division champs, one for NL/AL champs, and one for WS champs. I have always thought that looked cool.
  3. I was in 426 last year, and 419 the year before, and i have had no problems as of yet. This year, i'm in 424, i expect more of the same.
  4. I think i am gonna go get an sweet pepper and egg sandwich right now.
  5. I went to old yankee stadium last summer, and got to see how beautiful it was next to the old stadium. I can't wait to see a game there.
  6. I actually signed both ManRam and Sheets, and then proceeded to trade them. I traded Manny for Victor Martinez(an excellent catcher and much better than kendall), and i grouped up Soup and Sheets and traded them for Matt Garza. So far, my rotation is pretty weak: Yo Manny Garza Bush Looper I'm thinking about maybe signing Pedro or someone to a one year deal, but i'll wait and see. Macha is the coach for my game.
  7. Casey answered your question a few posts up, you are correct. "Brewers.com fees would be part of face value. It's certainly fair to recoup those. "
  8. I got some solid tickets for the Saturday White Sox game. Bleachers(which i wanted), row 17, seats 101-102. I don't think i have ever attended a Sox/Brewers game in the regular season. Should be fun.
  9. Heck, i'd love to see him back. That thread gave some hope to us when times were bad.

  11. My father's from Atlanta, and i've been there probably 20 times. I would recommend taking the MARTA, as ATL's traffic is HORRIBLE. The city has grown too much over the past 30 years and they haven't added enough bypasses around the city to take care of the problem. Coke world is fun. I went there two years ago, it's right next to underground atlanta(another fun kinda touristy thing). Personally, i would check out the Varsity: http://www.thevarsity.com/locations.php?action=view&store_id=9 It's probably one of the more famous ATL restaurants and perfect for game day style eating. The Georgia Aquarium is new(opened 2 or 3 years ago), and is huge. I'd recommend it. Also, Stone Mountain is very cool if you like history.
  12. I've had cops in Madison tell me it was illegal to sell for over face value in the city. They might have been lieing, but i always took them for telling the truth. Oh well, good to know now!
  13. yea i mispoke, some cities don't allow it(i believe madison is one, and i thought Milwaukee was as well), but not the state itself.
  14. Market price on the SGAs is all you have to go by(concidering there was no price for them from the start). As for selling tickets over face, the heads of this board have stated many a time that they do no want people posting in the Trading post area to make a profit, but to help fellow brewer fans out. Not to mention that scalping tickets(which is any price over the face value) is illegal in Wisconsin.
  15. i refuse to park at wrigley. I just take the red line.
  16. I didn't get in the opening day lottery, but i did get in on the marquee game lottery. So that works out.
  17. Concidering i'll probably have to pay double or triple that cost just to get in(and probably be in bernies terrace as well), concider yourself lucky.
  18. yea, but not crede. That guy reminds me of Ben Sheets, but with less talent. He has potential, but he's always getting hurt.
  19. He's a professional sports broadcaster, i'd be willing to say that probably about 80% of them don't mean it when they start cheering. It's a job.
  20. My point being that the Yankees are most hated rival of the Red Sox, as the Cubs are the most hated rival of the Brewers. ( Obviously, the rivalry isn't nearly as old, etc. I understand that.) And if you read the whole thread, you'll see that I am willing to give the guy a chance, if he proves talented. I was mainly speculating about how another fan base would react in a roughly analogous situation. Second part wasn't really directed towards you, as i had read the entire thread. I guess i didn't make that part clear enough. As for the red sox/yankees thing, i just didn't think that's a very good comparison because of the history between those to teams, the mutal hatred between them, ect, which really lacks with us and the Cubs at the current moment.
  21. Did you really just compare the cubs/brewers to the red sox/yankees? Wow. What about Harry Carey? He was with the cubs main 2 rivals before he went to the cubs and was an ADMITTED Cards fan. He seemed to do pretty well. The kid could end up not only being a great hire, but he could end up being just as good as powell someday, and may become a staple within the brewer family for years to come.
  22. I think some of you guys are taking the fact that he was a cub fan way too seriously. If the guy openly roots for the cubs or something, sure complain. But till then, i'm gonna reserve judgement til i actually see how good he is.
  23. I agree with ya, unfortunetly, we really need to stick with one group of jerseys for a while, however having Retro night with alternating jerseys from different decades(one week be the early 70s jerseys, one be the 90s, ect,) would be pretty cool.
