  1. It would have to be NcGheeo (still pronounced Neo).
  2. Brewers get big win and Augie back on Brewers Live...coincidence? I think not.
  3. Stetter...some kind of filthy there. Let's get some Badger Mutual Insurance runs, a cycle for Braun and some Trevor Time...and get the heck outta here.
  4. Let's get Coffey a W. He's the only guy on the mound who hasn't stunk up the place...yet.
  5. If we DFA'd everyone this site wants to right now we'd be down to Braun, Prince, Yo and my devastating 65 mph fastball & dazzling hanging curve.
  6. I agree with Ennder and TLB on Hardy. The guy has been hitting plenty of hard balls right at guys. I'm not saying he's smoking it, but he's making decent contact and his low BABIP seems to support that he's run into some bad luck. It seems everyone has been open to question this year except Braun & Prince. This lineup is what it is and what it has been for a large part of the last couple years. They hit homeruns and they hit them in bunches. When they aren't hitting homers, they strike out in bunches. I don't see that changing much with or without Sveum. At some point they'll likely pull out of their tailspin and start scoring again. It will probably be when someone like Hardy, Hart or Cam (like Weeks was before he got hurt) starts to pound the ball somewhat like our two big boppers. When that happens, they will start winning some games. We just have to hope the end result is enough runs to support the pitching and win 90ish games. They also have the type of team that can get hot and win in bunches. Maybe that can happen in October ala the Phillies. Is it likely, probably not, but the chances are greater than zero.
  7. I'm trying to picture what that big screen that AJAY put up would look like with those wolves barking at the moon on it. You guys are killing me.
  8. That was about the funniest thing I have read in some time. So how do we explain his studliness this season???
  9. Gotta go with Arock there. At 3-0 with a weak hitter next, better off walking him.
  10. BREWERS 2B Casey McGehee SS JJ Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall RHP Braden Looper Hope you feel better astronaut. Here's the lineup from TH. Seems Macha has figured out his two lineup cards.
  11. untuck'em! Hats off to Soup. Pitched well in a decent matchup and had some solid at bats...the big hit and helping get to the pen with the long at bat. Nice job Soup.
  12. Suppan? Not sure I agree with this. I might give Gamel a shot here. EDIT: Or not.
  13. I can't imagine why SD would say, "Hey, Milwaukee, you already have our legendary closer - why not take the other closer too?" But they do have TGJ.
  14. Great interview. I cab tell you really did your homework on Rollie. Those Finley tidbits were hilarious.
  15. At least Hardy is hitting the ball...just right at guys. Need fewer pitches from Yo.
  16. Realistically, I think Marlins territory would extend about 5 ft outside of Land Shark stadium. I'm not even sure it extends inside the stadium from what we saw on our last trip there. There are probably a few quibbles with the map, but it is a fairly good estimate. Virginia tends to gravitate towards DC as their market. As soon as the Nats get competitive they will probably be bigger there than the O's. West Va. is a Pittsburgh mkt.
  17. Didn't everyone get worked up that he bunted last night or do I have that wrong? CV has been outstanding this year so I've got no complaints on him or our pen. He did just look gassed out there so I may have given him a quicker hook. Parra was better than last time, that last homer to Chipper was well off the plate. He still has a ways to go, but it was hardly a one way ticket to Nashville performance. Nice to see Braun bust out...the big boys could really start to pound the ball at home. I was also impressed with Gamel in the series. He has a sweet swing. Could use a little better plate discipline at times, but that will come. He also seems to have the ability to play in the field. I still like Hall in there late with a lead (he had a sweet play on Sat night when he came in), but Gamel has the tools to develop at 3B over time. 3-4 not a bad way to end the trip after the way it started...now let's get some decent pitching this week...the Rocks are hot and we need to cool them down.
  18. Macha should have has the hook out earlier. Our pen was due I guess, they've been so good lately.
  19. Carlos has logged a few innings lately...doesn't seem as sharp today. One more CV.
  20. Another great outing tonight...and great use by Macha to use Coffey & Stetter earlier. I love how they've gotten away from the defined reliever in a certain inning that Yost went with. They have all those great tools to use in front of Hoffman and Macha is pushing the right buttons.
