  1. "All these injuries are related," Braun said. "They're all similar, everything I've gone through. Rib cage, back. They are all in the same general area and have the same general feeling." Unfortunately this pretty much validates TLB's initial post. I'm about to break into FtJ's phone. Since this thread we've seen Braun bust out and look like a world beater. A few games ago he seemed to slip back into that Sept. 08 version where he struggled. Not sure how this plays out, but it could be an up and down year for our hero. Anyone know what the long term impacts of this are? Sounds like it's something that warrants an MRI to find out.
  2. Haren was tough. Odds on our side tomorrow. Bush vs. Fill-in Meat.
  3. http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageIF.jsp?assetId=800009&page=Teams/MLB/10411 Looks like 722 works. I copied the link for the Brewers schedule on Extra Innings for those who care. They do a decent job on the website and show the specific team's feed. You can even program your DVR through the website & they have a scheduler app on the iPhone. Nice job TheCrew07...we are locked and loaded for tonight!!!
  4. Isn't that a little early? Could they be costing themselves a year of LaPorta?
  5. No doubt. Our teams in LA are named after lakes in Minnesota and kids trying to avoid street cars in Brooklyn. We have no lakes or public transportation. How about the LA Smogs or the LA Stuck in Traffics. Jazz in Utah...nothing makes less sense than that one.
  6. Hardy was hitting the ball well when the season first started. It just seemed he was hitting it right at people. When he wasn't getting results, he started pressing. He started slow last year, then took a few days off to get the shoulder in order. He hit the ball well his first game back and never stopped until the season was over. Take the whole weekend off if that's what it takes...spend the time with the trainers. He'll be fine.
  7. Forgettable night. Uggh...I need a drink. Let's steal one from Haren tomorrow. Maybe that up will see how bad his call was on SportsCenter and cut us some slack.
  8. This is the first time all year I miss Yost. That guy would be out there embarrassing himself all over that play. Macha has too much class for that.
  9. Why isn't Braun out there pointing at the divot? They should be raising some serious heck.
  10. Wow...now that stinks. It's a shame CV let them off the hook after 2 outs. He's done that a few times this year.
  11. I love Fisher using the windmill at third. I thought he was out with a good throw, but so many times the throw isn't good. Here it was good and Billy still somehow gets a hand in there. I like the aggressiveness. Nice job Fish!!!
  12. The guy had excellent location throughout most of the night. He got a few calls in the 5th. I'll grant you, our 3-4-5 guys made him look good in the 6th. He looked very strong 1-4...outstanding location. Maybe not 100 mph fastballs, but I'd call it dealing.
  13. That had to be the best season of AA ball any human being ever had in that El Paso bandbox. C'mon Corey...get him over.
  14. Phew...Young bailed Manny out there. Chased a couple bad pitches that Upton was able to lay off of.
  15. Let's see if he can get out of this one. Could really use a win tonight with Haren going tomorrow.
  16. Parra has a good change going tonight. Loose strike zone too. He's pitching with more confidence...against the right team too. Not a lot of plate discipline from the D-Backs. Garland has been sharp too...really jamming our guys with the fastball. Really good location. We need to get to that bullpen.
  17. Nice to see Gregg still struggling in the ninth, even though they won.
