  1. Is there an update on this as to what the injuries and time table are?
  2. Thanks for posting. That was as fun read and got me excited!
  3. How about Sean Miller's sweat last night? That was fun.
  4. Yes that was a complete joke last night. Nebraska was relentless and we looked bad. Hopefully it's a wake up call for the tournament. They need max effort and better mental focus to win a few games.
  5. Superfly - That made me laugh pretty hard. Good rant! lcbj - Super cool. I probably would atlas had them on my night stand! Have fun. Bucket list for me. Fondy - Driving range can really help if you can put the time in and try to just work on one thing at a time. I've slowly gotten my swing in a better place. The driving range doesn't always translate right away to the course, but if you stick with your plan, it will. Obviously the biggest way to reduce strokes is practicing pitching and putting. Frustrating when you hit the ball all over the course, but if you chip close and 2 putt, you're going to reduce a lot of strokes. Those are also the easiest to get better at in my opinion.
  6. So Cool Hawing!!!! That was so nice of you to do. Awesome Awesome!
  7. Congrats! It really is a fun time. My advice.... if you are a home body, it might be ok to stretch the budget a bit if you are willing to sacrifice going out, vacation, other luxuries. If you really like to spend money on those things, don't stretch your budget at ALL! Otherwise you will find yourself feeling stuck for awhile. I think it just really depends on how you like to spend your time/money. Prioritize your sacrifices, unless your budget is over a million! Remember, you can't change things like location, lot, etc, but you can always change certain things inside the house. Always try to take the view of the next buyer. You may be cool with living next door to the railroad, but how many buyers are you ruling out when it comes time to sell. I truly do believe location location location. But that can also mean an up and coming neighborhood (obviously carrying more risk). Really do your homework though. Sometimes just crossing a street can cause a big dip in desire for a property. Good luck and keep us posted!
  8. I too think they could probably come up with a clear netting of some sort. Braided fishing line! I would like to also see it go to the dugout or end of the dugout. I think that would block plenty of fans from the most dangerous balls and bats that go in to the crowd.
  9. Mass Haas - I just wanted to thank you again for doing all this work to make it easy for us lazy people to listen to all the Brewer's content! Awesome!
  10. It seems like almost every news story gets turned in to a race issue in today's society. I'm saddened by this and also a little worried. I was reading a news story on the most recent shooting in Kalamazoo and saw how all the comments were race related. I know Twitter can bring a lot of trolls out, looking to make people upset, but it just doesn't seem like we are in a good place.
  11. Agreed! Spring is in the air. Mix in some warm weather down here in OH, and some grilling tonight, and "Jerry, I'm busting, I'm BUSTING!"
  12. Boomer5 - nice post. First of all, I like this trade. I'm all for it, even if it doesn't end up a great one. Our hope is we end up with a few studs and a few average players from all the trades Stearns has made. I think Davis will do better with an American League team, so it's good for him too. I honestly don't see how people think Stearns is trying to put a better team on the field. They may play some good baseball at times, but if these stop gap players are doing well, they will be traded.
  13. Great post! What was that picture of on your old avatar??? How about you do the first David Stearns avatar! That way when we win the world series, you can use that as a bragging point.
  14. You do get the audio when you purchase the MLB.TV package, to the poster that asked. I think it said in the email I received about all this, that MLB is working with the regional sports stations to allow in market streaming options. I'm can't remember if it said for all people or just for people with a service. Either way, it's heading in the right direction, where sports will be offered to cord cutters. It just may take awhile. I feel like MLB has been the leader in sports streaming, so maybe they will be the first to offer in market streaming options.
  15. That's awesome! Nice work and nice package of gifts.
  16. Homer - that's a bucket list thing for me! Briggs - yes, it really can make for a fun weekend.
  17. Awesome video and a great way to market a team that will probably struggle. I'd imagine it will make people want to buy tickets, even through the struggles that will come. Genius!
  18. Anyone do Draft Kings for golf? It's a lot of fun......when you're doing well!
  19. Agree. I've been gone from WI for several years and this site is a great place to visit. A little slice of home. Great community here!
  20. You gotta work it man. I know, easier said than done. You don't want to beg, but just put yourself in the position where you're around the $100 tippers. Know what ball they play? Well, you just happened to come across a box for him. Not sure what connections you have, but maybe you know someone who makes clubs. Or hey, I have an extra ticket to the US Open at Erin Hills. I assume some of the $100 tippers go to the bar after their round? You just happen to be there, and strike up a conversation. This way you're not begging, it will just naturally come up at some point, and if you get along with them of course they're going to request you to caddy for them. I agree, you have to grease that wheel. Is there always a designated line of who is next to go off? Can the person in charge change that ever? You could always tip him when you get the big guys! But the best way for sure is to get the big guys to request you. Hell, you should just approach one of them and ask him if he has a regular caddy. If he says no, tell him you'd like to be his regular. Tell him you're good, and you know this course. "I think if I consistently caddied for you, it would help your scorecard." Might be cheesy but I bet a lot of these guys like someone who has the guts to do that.
  21. Sounds terrible. Well keep fighting it. Hot soups and spicy food!
  22. I don't think anyone that's on the current MLB roster is any sort of window in to how Stearns constructs a team. I think all he's trying to do at the major league level is field a team of trading chips. I think we should be looking at the types of players he's getting in the minors and that will give us our best idea of the tools he's looking for.
