  1. Where do you work and can I get a job there?!
  2. Jumping back before the comments on Saturday's event... The most legible sig I've ever gotten is Manny Parra. Right after he was called up, they had him do a signing at a Pick N Save last season. It's the most pretty, precise sig I've ever seen. I even commented that I figure it will change once he's been up longer, as each one is so deliberate and takes a while. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow.
  3. I'll be there playing hooky on Thursday afternoon.
  4. During today's Broadcast Bill/Brian said that the only reason Stetter didn't make the team out of Spring Training is that they wanted him to be more than a LOOGY so they sent him to Nashville to see more right handed batters. He did well against them/in full innings and therefore they called him up. As far as I'm concerned, he's the best bullpen option we've seen in the past 10 days or so. I wish he could give the rest of the guys a lesson in composure.
  5. I hate the LF bleachers. I've sat there twice this season and got up and moved both times. This past Friday it was so loud and rowdy that I honestly had a hard time concentrating on the game. The people behind us were loud and drunk, the 40 somethings next to us were more interested in talking very loudly to each other about the game and the teenagers in front of us were throwing things at each other. I literally couldn't hear myself talk. And in case anyone thinks I'm just being an old Fuddy Duddy, I'm 26. We got razzed for keeping score. It was the worst experience I've ever had at Miller Park. That being said, I've never had that problem in right field. I enjoy the 100 level bleachers in right field if you can get in the first few rows. There are TVs to be able to see replays (or you can look at the ones down in the Benz Fieldhouse) and you can still see the scoreboard. We are stuck with getting the cheaper tickets, so I can't tell you about Infield Box or Club Level, but I have to say that if you can get between the two pilons in the Terrace Reserved directly behind home plate, they're great seats. This is where we're sitting for 6 games this year. You can really see the swings, the movement of pitches and whether or not they catch the plate. I really enjoy those seats.
  6. I got mine for Thursday's game on Chicago's Craigslist and had no problems. There are TONS of tickets out there and I paid face and a whole $5 to have them UPS'd up here. Paid for them at 3 pm, had them in my hand at 10am the next morning.
  7. Why can't I find the roof status and inside temp anywhere on Brewers.com? I know it used to be right there on the front page. I've looked high and low and didn't find it. Am I stupid? Please help!! Grrrrr!
  8. I thought the timing of the Froemming interview was interesting since there has been so must umpire questioning so early this season. It seemed mighty convenient that he was there to explain and seemingly to take some pressure off the umps.
  9. You can use the kids stuff as long as there's not a line of kiddies. I've been sitting in the outfield and have a pretty good view of the kids area, which is great for people watching in between innings.
  10. I played a few ballgames against Vuke's kid. We nicknamed him "Ogre". Dude looked 40 when he was 15. He gave me props for hitting 3 doubles off the wall in the same game. I think Jerry Augustine's kid was on the same team. Augustine's kid is my insurance agent
  11. pretty much how the year has gone for him. pitch really well and absolutley no run support. i do believe that we've come back to win a lot of his starts though, so maybe we still have a good chance He's this year's Cappy.
  12. Villy's looks like there are about 10 hairs up there all the length of the one's on his head. So creepy! Also, I think Eric Byrnes of the DBacks started the Stache comeback in the MLB this year. He started growing it when they won a bunch in a row and it made fairly big news. I read it somewhere and they did a piece on SportsCenter. I think that's where the Crew got the idea. That, and it's a clubhouse of 24 year old guys... http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbacks/articles/2008/04/12/20080412dbnb.html
  13. I'll be the first to admit that Turnbow gives me the heebie jeebies every time we put him in, but man do I want to see him do well. It's awful for someone to just fall apart and while I don't think I could handle the drama that comes with having him around, I hope he can pull himself together.
  14. I'm afraid that this is going to go the way the rest of the season ... build me up with lots of hope, let me crash back down hard
  15. that pitch was at his ear! How does he swing at that?
  16. too many pitches for DBow's fragile psyche
  17. Brian just said that Yost putting Turnbow in here is a huge vote of confidence. Or, you know, putting in the only guy who hasn't pitched in the past 3 games.
  18. What do you think's running through the heads of the rest of the team when Turnbow takes the mound?
  19. Someone out there with Photoshop needs to get a little Prince in powder blue or in some bell bottoms action going. Between his mini-fro and the mutton chops, Prince looks like he should be starring in Saturday Night Fever.
  20. TGJ rockin' the high socks. Love it!
