Nevermind. 1000 IQ play by Ortiz Bunt Bauers to 2nd so the wild pitch puts him into scoring position for the actual safety swinging bunt from Dunn. Brilliant.

Ok, I trust the process but not quite sure why we are safety bunting with no outs with runners on the corners and a 2-1 count? Ortiz when I said earlier that today would be a great day for a breakout at the plate... Not quite what I envisioned.

Turned the TV on and Sal Frelick is on base. Shocked.

A Joey Ortiz offensive coming out party would be most welcome..

Frisbee you just saved my brain. I forgot about the baby. That is what I will choose to believe this is.

Of course it is, all I'm saying is we have 80 something games to go before the trade deadline is here. Let's get our hands dirty and figure this thing out during those games. Throwing our hands up now and saying "well hopefully we get someone at the deadline to fix 3b" is a wild one for me this early.

Sidenote for Brock if he reads this ... Is there a big bug with the ignore feature on this site happening? Still unable to ignore anyone... and now people that I've ignored are now "unignored" and I'm seeing all their posts? I'm unable to go back to my peaceful days haha

8 games in. 30 combined at bats. Durbin, Mona, Boeve, etc to still vet below... and we are turning our eyes to a late July trade deadline acquisition "if we are still in it"? Genuine question, do you enjoy the process of the season at all? Not mad if not ... I have a brother that shows up for the playoff push and always asks how we got here and needs to be filled in on the season. But man, let's work through the process a little bit here.

Hudson hasn't been the same since his oblique injury last summer. We had to send him down for almost all of September. Here is to hoping to gets his mojo back.

The bad news... both Yeli and Contreras are hitting under .100 on the season ... which is wild. The good news. The Brewers are .500 while Yeli and Contreras are hitting under .100 on the season.

Way to take advantage of an opportunity young man.

Alexander you've done your job. Might get another one out of him but good job kid.

Couple of lefties getting knocks to left is a fun watch. It is so hard not to like Frelick.

Not sure if I will be home in time to head over to catch the TRats opener but I'm going to try. Chourio jersey giveaway on Sunday so a few of us are trying to make that game as well.

Please, please let Contreras hit one out and break out of whatever this thing is he is going through.

Lot of unknowns back then and lot of unknowns still remaining. Hard to fully inspect the deal without it completely in the rearview. If he throws well this year upon return and we are in the driver's seat to retain him moving forward, would the extra cash be worth keeping him beyond this year? A lot left to play out..

    Wrong.

Yophery is an interesting one to watch. He is the highest rated Brewers OF prospect and outside of maybe Lara there is no one who would be blocking him from ascending at whatever pace he decides to move through the system at. I think he is projected to end up in the corner OF as well, whereas Lara is naturally a CF if I'm not mistaken.

The folks in Zebulon need to enjoy them as much as they can because all of us up here in Appleton will be requesting their services soon enough :)

For reference, Chourio started the '22 season in Carolina and they gave him 67 games and ~300 at bats before they bumped him to Wisconsin. He was in Appleton for 30+ games and then they gave him a week in AA to end the campaign. That would be hyper aggressive with Made.. but would be wild and exciting if he forces that kind of push. Living up here in the Fox Valley selfishly I just hope he makes it here before year is over. It does look like Pena is joining Carolina according to the transactions here: Luis Peña Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News | MLB.com

Should be a brand new Cortes today ... that first start for him back in Yankee Stadium was a disaster in the making right from the acquisition. Let's make it 3 in a row!

Sometimes having the slappers and noodle bats comes through :) What bat control from Brice. Take them anyway you can get them. Great pitching today. We are so back baby.

Gosh that is deflating. Can't sulk, go put up a 0.

I didn't see what that ump saw but I'm glad he saw it.

One bad pitch. Otherwise Uribe was electric. Tough luck :( Pick him up!
