This is funny and it happened to me 300 times this year. I would be commenting on someone's question about Josh Knoth's pitch mix and then click out to realize we were in the "Are the Brewers bunting too much?" thread...

Had the Badgers mbb team won the NCAA title a decade ago or whatever ... that would have been up there for me and mainly for the above reason. I felt like I knew those kids, some of them had been there for years at that point. That team felt like family. Add in the adversity from the prior year(s), there were a lot of parallels to this Brewers team. I also agree this Brewers' win is on top of the mountain and I'm not sure there is much that could dethrone it moving forward.

Gm3 starts in LA and TB on the road in a new hostile environment. It can't be overstated what he meant to this run.

I feel this and have felt this coming on since about Bauers' home run against Snell. It happened after the Bucks won their title. It happened after the GBP won a while back as well. The fight is over. I'll still be here and I'll still go to games and still will do almost all of it. But the countless nights agonizing over AAA roster moves trying to will some rotation relief up to the big leagues and feeling like I need to get to 10-12 Rattlers games so I can report back to family and friends that 'help is on the way' and the almost sleepless nights after a blown save because that could be difference in a 1 or 2 seed, etc That part might be gone. We did the dang thing. Time to rest a little. I might even try to get a new hobby :) ... also very grateful for all of it.

There is a kid down in Nashville - Cameron Wagoner - and I really think he has a good chance to break camp with the big league club next spring or whenever we start play again. Big tall righty, he might even make Megill available for trade and just bump into Uribe's spot. Was really good in Biloxi and then nearly unhittable in Nashville when he got moved up.

I think so. Someone said it last night afterwards that 22 will never be worn in Milwaukee again once the Bucks handle Middleton and the Brewers take care of Yeli.

I remember Bill Simmons writing in his book "Now I can die happy" something about how mentally and physically exhausting being a fan was during that title run and it never made sense to me. Why winning would be tiring. I get it now. I'm tired. Thrilled. Nostalgic. A hint of sadness that it's all over. I'm going to miss this team. But that playoff run more or less had my stomach in knots for 3 straight weeks. At some point during the Dodgers series everything went from "we could do this" to "we HAVE to do this" and my stomach clenched. It finally eased last night. Proud of them. Proud of us. Proud of you. Wish Bob was here. Congrats friends.

Mitchell screams "sell high" to me. Lara is signed and probably needs a starting job. Between Frelick and Mitchell ... Mitchell will bring back more I would think? Unless we go back to the Boston well ... Sal would be loved there.

Re: the offense last night, Curt Hogg posted a tweet - the Brewers had 13 of the 15 hardest hit balls of the night and were 4-13 in those at bats. We made decent contact.

Hopefully the boys have the same pissy feeling I have right now. These next 6+ hours of waiting are annoying. I just want to get back on the field and throw first pitch. Miz for 5. Romero for 1. Uribe for 1. Hall for 1. Megill for 1. Parade on Monday. B2A.

.. and it's numbers at this point. Could Miz have closed it last night and won it all? Possibly/probably/maybe? But we have our ace now against maybe their 'compromised' ace. If they get through this tip of the cap. We have two more home games against Freddy (who we have beaten badly twice this year) and then probably Martinez again. Not to mention their bullpen is compromised badly as well. The odds are overwhelmingly in our favor. As much as it would have been easy to pull the trigger on Miz to do it ... the safest move was letting the hands play out last night and leaning on them now the rest of the series.

I'm not sure what other choice they have. It is either throw the ace on 3 day's rest or pin your season on a bullpen game, which if it is close, you are probably bringing in Rasmussen anyway.

I said this last night as well... this entire post season the Brewers have faced an opposing closer in a save situation 1 time and it was perhaps our best night. No save situations for the opposition (knock on wood) otherwise for an entire playoff run is actually ludicrous.

This never crossed my mind. Admittedly I've thought the letters from Uecker were a bit of an eye roll... But if Murphy is actually sitting on a real letter for this moment that would be something.

I haven't talked to him so I can't be for certain, I just remember his last few posts in the off season or early season he was saying it is a rigged system and he couldn't support it anymore or something. Posted a bunch of links to some petitions or something like that. Haven't heard from him since. I agree if he is protesting it is such an unfortunate season to pick...

Treego, I hope wherever you are in the world amidst your MLB boycott you are finding a space to enjoy all that this season has been. I say that sincerely, this one's for you: Only a Griffin remains, between this team and its' fate. A dream once unbelievable, is now just 9 innings away. The boys seem bulletproof, albeit some help from our Ueck. A historic run through this gauntlet of baseball's 'who's who'. Let's make tonight forever famous, it's time we get our damn parade. On Wisconsin! On Milwaukee! Let's go win it our way.

I see some of Dekker's stuff pop up on my timeline and I'm not going to lie, I agree with a lot of his Brewers' takes. If nothing else, he is a real fan.

The Rays are playing for a Game 7. Murph is playing for a Friday afternoon parade. I think Ashby will throw 600 pitches in the next two games if that is what it takes to be World Champions.

I think Sproat to the pen makes a ton of sense. The Brewers are leaning hard towards allowing starters 2 trips through the order and being done (outside of Miz). I know a decent part of that this year was youth and restrictions but they purposely built their bullpen outside of the Uribe and Megill to all be multi inning guys. Getting Sproat out there, taking away a pitch or two and telling him to ramp up the juice for 25 pitches an outing makes a lot of sense to me if he can keep the ball in the zone. I think he has a lot to offer yet. -
I guess I personally didn't look too much into the 3 ball count to Diaz to end it. Ashby clearly said after the game he was well aware there were two lefties to follow. I'm actually surprised he through a first pitch fastball in the zone. That 3-1 curve was a stones pitch to set up the dirt ball to follow. I actually thought Ashby looked fairly clean tbh?
