  1. Just some random poking around with Turang stats... found this which is not much but maybe of note. At bats when he swings at the 1st pitch: .310/.359/.548/.906 At bats when he takes the first pitch: .237/.376/.409/.784
  2. All things considered 15 pitches a good outcome that frame. I think they said he threw 81 in his last rehab outing? Correct me if that's wrong. Would be great to get him through 5. Gravy for anything beyond..
  3. I see the Cubs were rained out and will play a DH on Wednesday then finish the series Thursday before coming to MKE. It would be too bad if that is a taxing stretch for their bullpen..
  4. I'll give someone a nickel if they can venture a guess which of our scouts dug up Wagoner even though he didn't pitch his last year of college because of academics...
  5. Dried cranberries in a good chicken salad is an amplifier.
  6. If my math is correct Ebel has a 18.9% walk rate? That's wild. For reference only Kurtz and Trout have a better rate in the majors.
  7. Oh my gosh Freddy got pummeled. His era is in the upper 4s now. New York media has already been hard on him this year.. They are going to throw him under the bus this week.
  8. That was April up here in Northeast Wisconsin. A lot of areas around here it was the wettest April we've ever had.
  9. Anyone know how long our contract with Biloxi currently runs?
  10. Yeah I thought Appleton had bad luck with weather to start this year but Biloxi seems like they play 3 games a week sometimes.
  11. That lineup in Biloxi is so disgusting.
  12. Just anger resurfacing in different ways. The subject of the anger doesn't matter - some folks just need the release. Attacking Chourio both yesterday and today is an odd choice but I'm glad they have the outlet.
  13. Come on Jake. Add another chapter to whatever this wonderful story is you are writing...
  14. I don't have the answer - the only thing I came up with a week+ ago when we were talking about this was that Yelich has (had?) good numbers hitting from the 1 spot since coming back from injury and Brice had great numbers in the 3 hole more so than Brice leading off and Yelich hitting 3rd earlier this year. What those numbers look like now after the last 7-10 days I am not sure. I think the question is valid.
  15. "Miz will pitch from the stretch for the first time since the 4th inning against Philly" ... I can't say I've ever seen Miz wind up Mr. Jeff?
  16. If Miz learns how to be consistently efficient on top of being overpowering... I don't even know.
  17. I have asked about O'Rae a few times and I'm assuming there was no word on why he was out for a week and a half but still pinch ran a handful of times?
  18. I was hoping it would be Sale vs. Miz ... that would have been a showstopper. Nothing against Perez. Sale hasn't thrown since the 10th. I'm sure it won't affect but that is a long time.
  19. Bill has challenged and has won the most challenges behind the plate and 2nd place isn't particularly close in either category. % wise not so much ... but volume is all Contreras. 2026 MLB ABS challenge system tracker: Team, player rankings - ESPN Also, Sanchez being 8 for 20 at the plate challenging is hysterical. I wonder if Angel Hernandez was still around what kind of earth shattering numbers he would be putting up with the challenge system...
  20. Jose Anderson is something. 17 home runs but I think I saw 108 strikeouts in 226 at bats?!
  21. I do agree with you.. It is definitely ironic that we are talking about players not being robotic and having guts/soul and the two players in question are Vaughn and Sal. I'm not sure anyone on the team is more robotic than Vaughn.. perhaps Drohan. I'm also not sure there's anyone that sacrifices his body more for the squad than Sal.. perhaps Contreras. Your overall point though is a good one and one I agree with. Just funny that these are the two players in question.
  22. I'm just guessing, but Murphy seems to be pretty consistent following whatever numbers he and the staff are looking at. So I'm guessing the three guys that were up in the order for Cleveland all had worse success against the pitch arsenal that Kuhnel offers versus the pitch arsenal that Anderson offers. Something like that.
