  1. After watching Joe Johnson during the regular season and playoffs this year, I would definitely consider him an elite option. Without him, I think the Hawks might not even make the playoffs. I agree that Salmons is going to be tough to resign, I hope that this special ending to the season weighs heavily on his mind when he decides to come back to Milwaukee or not.
  2. I had a person on craigslist agree to sell me 2 tickets to Friday nights Bucks game. We had everything planned out, he gave me his phone number, we exchanged multiple e-mails, he seemed like a really nice guy. Then today I e-mailed him to confirm his phone number and make sure everything was still good. He replied that he was selling these for a friend, and his friend now wants to go. My wife and I took a half day off work, we got a babysitter, and we were both thrilled to be going to this game. I know I shouldn't ever trust buying tickets off Craigslist, but still by stomach just dropped when I heard this. The game is now sold out through the Bucks, and everybody on Craiglist, Ebay and ticket brokers are selling these for a lot of money, which we don't have.
  3. Game 5 tonight in Atlanta at 7.. Hopefully the Bucks can keep up their stellar play and steal one on the road. I think its going to be a very physical game, and its going to take a really good shooting night to make it happen. Go Bucks!!
  4. Personally, I hope its a couple of weeks. Seems well worth the wait.
  5. Even though they shouldn't have a chance in this series, they've been proving everybody wrong all season. I love the effort these guys bring every night. I'm very excited to be going to game 3 on Saturday, I hope Milwaukee comes out and supports this team, they really deserve it. If they can steal one of the first 2 in ATL I think it will be a very good series.
  6. Oh yeah, they were pretty good too. Huntsville has had some really good offensive teams.
  7. Really, your giving up on those 3 after 8 games? I think Zaun, Hawkins and Hoffman will all be helping us in the playoff race in August. I'd like to see the Brewers get Oswalt, but I think the Stro's will be asking for way more than he's worth. I'm hoping the Brewers make a run at a #3 guy like Chris Young or Aaron Harang.
  8. Thats a bold statement, and makes me very excited for the future. That 1-5 is probably the most prospect loaded lineup since Fielder, Weeks, Hart and Hardy all played together.
  9. I agree, I thought centering your marketing around a cookie was a terrible idea. My wife and I always laughed at those commercials.
  10. Two words, Brat Stop. Its a good place to watch a game, has good food and is easy to find. Its right on Hwy 50 next to Mcd's.
  11. Great win tonight by the Bucks. This was a must win game by the Bulls in Chicago and the Bucks stole it from them. Congrats to the Bucks as a team and franchise on a wonderful accomplishment that most though wasn't possible.
  12. This is a really tough break for the Bucks. Hopefully they can surprise some people and give whoever they play in round 1 a run for their money. Its going to be interesting to see who steps up to fill in for Bogut, I'm going to expect a lot more out of Kurt Thomas and Ersan. I'm not giving up on the Bucks yet, they have worked far too hard for me to do that. Hopefully the rest of the Bucks fans eventually feel the same way.
  13. Bayern Munich just beat Manchester United in a great game. Its always nice when your favorite team beats your least favorite team in an important match.
  14. I'm still going w/ that. Please stop trying to ruin my dreams. Seriously though, I really do think from the reports I've heard, that he is in the process of being traded.
  15. My prediction is that he's been traded for Mike Lowell and he is deciding today if he will waive his no trade clause to come to Milwaukee. It's also what I hope happens, since I've always liked Lowell.
  16. I though Jackson was a beast at Kansas when they won the national tournament, maybe he just needed a chance. I'm going to trust the Bucks front office on this, he has put up ridiculous stats in his 2 d league games this season and he's 6'9" 250. Hopefully he works out, if not oh well. I don't think he's the worst possible player, if he was he wouldn't have been on the roster of the team w/ the best record in the NBA for the last 2 seasons.
  17. That is very obvious, I just hope Melvin finds a way to make sure he doesn't pitch at Miller Park this season. I've always felt bad for guys like Gagne and Turnbow who were booed mercilessly by Brewers fans even though they would most likely do anything to have better results. It seems that a lot of fans sometime forget that these players are human and don't realize how much it probably bothers the players and their families.
  18. I never said he should be immune to it, I just don't want to see that scenario happen, mostly because of the amount of charity work that he has done since he has been here. I hope he doesn't make the roster or is traded, and then I wouldn't have to worry about him being trashed by Brewer fans.
  19. If Suppan does make the final roster, I have a feeling that it will not end well. I think most fans have totally lost their patience w/ him, and are ready to boo very loudly if he makes even the smallest mistake. I really hope this scenario doesn't happen, mostly because of the amounty of charity work he does for the city of Milwaukee, but I have a bad feeling that it will. I think the only way he is not on the roster is if Melvin can find a team that is willing to eat some of his contract, or trade us a guy w/ an equally bad contract. W/ the recent reports of us being interested in Chris Snyder and Mike Lowell, I hope thats the case. From a talent standpoint I really hope the last 4 pitchers that make the roster are Villanueva, Bush, Parra and Narveson.
  20. Ugly loss last night, they've been good at bouncing back after losses, hopefully they can do that against the Heat on Friday.
  21. I do think its interesting that in the last week the Brewers have been reported to be interested in two high priced players that teams are looking to trade in Lowell and Snyder. I'm guessing they are being active in looking to trade Suppan or possibly Bush.
  22. Since Hammond left, they've traded Billups for Iverson, then signed Villanueva and Ben Gordon to huge contracts. I think it starting to be fairly obvious how valuable Hammond was to that franchise.
  23. According to Nick Piecoro from the Arizona Republic the Brewers have shown interest in Chris Snyder and might match up well because of their pitching depth. Snyder had an .800 OPS in 08' and had some back problems last year, I might have some interest in a Snyder for Suppan deal since he is owed $11.25 for the next 2 seasons. We would most likely have to pick up a decent portion of Suppans contract if a deal were to happen. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbacks/cactus/articles/2010/03/23/20100323arizona-diamondbacks-roster-nearly-set.html
  24. It seems to me that there are enough ticket deals out there, even in the premier games, to make it worth attending at the BC instead of watching on TV. I've sat in a lot of different spots in the upper level for Bucks games and I see the game just fine and the atmosphere lately has been really good. Also, I believe John Anderson from ESPN sportscenter started the Fear the Deer thing about a month ago. The way John Hammond has built this team makes me wonder if he was the one who built the Pistons championship team.
