  1. I love how he just groups together Milwaukee and Minnesota, I mean who really cares they both start w/ an M and are from the midwest, that works for me. If thats how it was brought up I will put absolutely zero stock into that rumor. I would love to see Damon in Milwaukee but I don't see it happening for financial reasons, I think if they add anybody it will be another starter. I am ok w/ the Brewers taking Aguilar off the 40 man, he really struggled last season after dominating in previous seasons. Hopefully he can rebound this year.
  2. I took that into consideration, but he's also supposed to be healthy for spring training. I still would ask for Slowey.
  3. After reading the article, I think that he is just throwing Gamel's name out there, but I would ask for Kevin Slowey.
  4. I'd love to see the Brewers take a chance on Liriano, but I think the Twins are really hoping that he comes close to what he was his rookie season. Also, judging by Gardenhires comment, it seems as though they are not as down on him as reported, and it might take more than people think to get him.
  5. I was wondering if he might be a guy we are looking to pick up as our second starter this offseason. He has dominated in Japan for the Hiroshima Carp the last 2 seasons, and is looking to come back to the MLB. He led the league in K's both seasons, and walked only 46 batters in 354.1 innings. To cap it off he was a 1st round pick by the Rangers in 1999, by GM Doug Melvin. http://www.npbtracker.com/2009/12/colby-lewis-to-make-mlb-return/
  6. I'd be ok w/ any of the three, but I'm hoping for Jarrod Washburn. He has the most recent success, and maybe a move to the NL and his home state will help improve his stats. He also stated recently that he would be willing to accept a one year deal.
  7. Bucks had a big win tonight against Oklahoma City, Bogut, Redd and Ridnour all played great.
  8. A few guys that I think could help and could be cheap are Aubrey Huff and/or Melvin Mora. I also am starting to hope that we are able to sign Jarrod Washburn to a one year deal, I know he's not great, but I believe he would be a very solid addition to the rotation.
  9. I think the Brewers have improved their bullpen and starting pitching w/ the additions of Wolf and Hawkins. I really believe that one more veteran starter will be added before spring training. Also, I like the fact that they have a lot of speed w/ Escobar, Gomez, Hart, Weeks around Prince and Braun, I think that will be fun to watch. I like the youth in this lineup and really believe that we haven't seen the best of almost everyone, besides McGehee and Zaun. It could go either way, but I think this team will be improved and w/ enough luck could be a playoff team.
  10. I think one thing is pretty clear, Michael Redd needs to be moved any way possible asap. I wonder if the Bucks are considering a buyout? This team is self destructing very quickly, I really hope that things can be turned around soon.
  11. Judging by there MLB stats Hughes actually has been a little better as a reliever than Joba, and Joba has been much better than Hughes has been as a starter. Although both have been much better as relievers.
  12. I'd rather have Heether get a spot than Quinlan, he has been terrible the last 3 seasons.
  13. What a disappointing loss tonight. I couldn't believe they gave this one away, it was very tough to watch.
  14. I don't think Salome is going to be just an AL player, I think he will be fine defensively at catcher. I hope they don't give up on him yet, he had a rough season injury wise last season, but hit well for large parts of the season, and absolutely dominated in AA the season before. His main knock on his d is his game calling, but he threw out 32% of the baserunners, and from everything I've ever heard is a very hard worker w/ a great attitude. I hope and think that the signing of a career AAAA player like Matt Treanor doesn't mean much of anything for a guy w/ the upside of Angel Salome.
  15. I wonder why its acceptable in society to say how ugly you think somebody is? I mean that is how these people are born, would they get more respect if they got a bunch of plastic surgery done? I know Otis Nixon or Delonte West will never read these message boards but it still bothers me a little bit. I really feel bad for people who constantly get ripped on for how they look. On to the Bucks, it was another tough loss last night. At least they gave the two best teams in the league a run for their money. I really love the toughness that they show. Ersan Ilyasova is becoming more and more confident as the season goes along, and is definitely a great surprise.
  16. Does anybody know the rules of throwing these on the ice and if its illegal at the Joe Louis arena. Also, how would you go about sneaking one in the arena? Please let me know if anybody has any info on this, I told my sister in law that I would try to find this out for her. I tried to find the rules by google search but haven't found much. Thanks for any help that you can give me.
  17. Good signing, not to excited about his K/BB rate, but has had some past mlb success. Does anybody know a way to look up his numbers last year in Japan?
  18. How does Jack Z. keep doing these ridiculous trades? Carlos Silva is pure garbage, and he got a productive hitter for him. However on the other issue, Ken Rosenthal is speculating that the M's are actually trying to trade Morrow and specifically mentions the Brewers and Mat Gamel. Heres the link: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/121409-Latest-MLB-buzz
  19. I agree, I think CBS is definitely the best I've seen. It is very user friendly and offers pretty good analysis on both rotiseree and head to head leagues.
  20. Redd played great last night Buckylovesbeer. He took a few ill-advised shots, but he was 11-24 shooting which is 46%, very good for a guard. The Bucks were +6 w/ him on the floor, and he also had 7 rebounds 4 assists and 2 steals, w/ only 1 turnover. We almost beat the Lakers, and he was a huge part of that. He has been very bad in earlier games, but you have to give the man credit when its due. That call made at the end was absolutely terrible. The NBA would be so much better if the officiating was fair. I don't understand why they think the opposite.
  21. Adam McCalvy mentioned that David Riske is supposed to be ready for spring training.
  22. I really like the quality and depth that Melvin has brought to our bullpen. Its going to be very interesting to see how it all works out, there are a lot of quality arms fighting for spots in Lofgren, Axford, Braddock, Narveson, Halama, Murray, Smith and Villanueva. I think that Riske will probably start out in the minors or still be rehabbing, so I would guess that Narveson and Villanueva will get the final 2 spots.
  23. The White Sox could be a suprise team next season, especially if they stay healthy. A starting rotation of Peavy, Danks, Buerhle, Floyd, Garcia, and bullpen w/ Jenks, Linebrink, Pena, Thornton, Putz is pretty scary. Now they have a decent leadoff hitter, to go along w/ a solid core of a lineup w/ Beckham, Ramirez, Quentin, Rios, Teahan and Konerko.
  24. According to Adam McCalvy's twitter page. This could be a nice suprise.
