  1. Ronnie Gideon has really tore the cover off the ball at Helena. I haven't heard much at all about him.
  2. 1. Orlando Arcia 2. Lewis Brinson 3. Isan Diaz 4. Josh Hader 5. Luis Ortiz 6. Phil Bickford 7. Brett Phillips 8. Corey Ray 9. Trent Clark 10. Lucas Erceg 11. Cody Ponce 12. Jorge Lopez 13. Marcos Diplan 14. Jacob Nottingham 15. Freddy Peralta 16. Gilbert Lara 17. Brandon Woodruff 18. Devin Williams 19. Jake Gatewood 20. Nathan Kirby 21. Mario Feliciano 22. Wei-Chung Wang 23. Monte Harrison 24. Corbin Burnes 25. Braden Webb
  3. I think the best thing that could happen is that he finishes this season strong and goes into the offseason healthy. If this happens I think he could have major value at the winter meetings.
  4. Ok, so Jacob Nottingham is 21 years old, and in AA, he tore up A ball as a 20 year old last season. Don't you think it might be too early to give up on him? He probably will end up repeating AA next season, and will still be pretty young for AA.
  5. What are the chances that Wren has "figured it out", as Doug Melvin always says about speedsters, it takes them a little longer.
  6. If I'm trading w/ the Indians, I want 1b Bobby Bradley, P Justus Sheffield, and C Francisco Mejia. I think that's a fair return. We get our 1b prospect we desperately need, and a potential top of the rotation starter and a pretty good catching prospect.
  7. Oh No! Your link reports are 90% of the reason I still come to this site. Hope all is ok in your world, Jim. Agreed. I would pay money to get the link reports every day.

  9. I would take a chance on him. Definitely talented, hasn't clicked for whatever reason.
  10. I think Braden Webb is my favorite pick so far. Watching video of him, and reading about him, he seems like a super confident player, and very talented.
  11. I'm fine w/ .230 or .240 if he hits 40 home runs, and has a decent walk rate.
  12. Nottingham is getting closer and closer to getting up over that Mendoza line.
  13. Umm, no. Let's keep the current process going. I'd like to see Braun traded before he gets hurt again.
  14. I would 100% have Braun on the trade block right now. I think he has to have some decent trade value, he definitely could put a contending team over the top.
  15. I watched a lot of the game, and I thought Pulisic looked good vs. Hamburg. He's a very solid outside MF, and I agree he should be starting for the USMNT, with the hopes of him being a starter in two years in Russia.
  16. The US is not a soccer power, and left off a lot of their best under 23 players. It's really not that surprising or sad. Columbia was a much better team in both games.
  17. Pulisic was called up for tonight's game vs Guatemala. Very cool, hopefully he will get in the game.
  18. After the short sample of ST, I'll go w/ my team. Broxton CF Gennett 2b Lucroy C Braun LF Santana RF Carter 1b Hill 3b Rivera SS Bench: Flores (CF Platoon, 1b), Villar (IF/of), Maldanado ©, Walsh (2b,3b, OF), Liriano (OF)??
  19. Rob Jeter just got fired by UWM. To me, it seems like he hasn't done anything in a while, so I'm not surprised. But according to twitter this is the worst decision ever.
  20. To me the OF situation seems to be mostly set, with Braun in LF, Broxton/Flores in CF, and Santana in RF. I think the final spot will go to one of Nieuwenhuis or Liriano. I'm hoping Liriano get's hot and makes the team. Seems to have more upside, and the friendship between him and Santana is a cool story.
  21. So far it looks like a great pickup by Stearns. I hope he keeps it up, and makes the team out of ST.
  22. I'm definitely more excited about our AAA rotation with Lopez, Hader, Davies and Houser. Should be fun to follow.
  23. Thanks for the insight ctmyers. I love hearing the firsthand reports.
  24. With 2 years to go before the next World Cup and soon to start qualifying, I really hope Klinsmann changes his strategy. So far he seems to be picking a different group of guys each call up, and including mediocre players at the end of their career like Jermaine Jones, Kyle Beckerman, Beasley and Wondolowski. I want to see a group that can win together, and grow together. We have enough young talent, to have a very solid squad. Just off the top of my head, John Anthony Brooks, Fabian Johnson, Yedlin, Jordan Morris, Pulisic, Gedion Zelalem, Matt Miazga, Darlington Nagbe, Bobby Wood, Zardes should all be called up together for qualifying. Then get a few vets who have a realistic chance of contributing in 2018 like Bradley, Bedoya, Nguyen and possibly Dempsey, and just roll with the same consistent squad. The Copa America this summer would be a great time to let the squad grow together against great competition.
  25. It looks like Giannis, Jabari and Middleton are starting to develop some nice chemistry. It was a fun game to watch last night.
