  1. I like it, didn't expect anything for Knebel to be honest, and he could end up being a MLB player.
  2. I truly believe Jedd Gyorko will be brought back at a lesser salary. He was very solid last year and filled in nicely at 1b and 3b. I like him more than a lot of the bigger names being brought up.
  3. With the Bucks and Brewers starting up again, I need to find a streaming service. Any suggestions on which one I should choose? Leaning towards Hulu live because of price.
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing them take a chance on Arodys Vizcaino. He had his shoulder cleaned up last April, and could be quite a bounce back candidate. Not sure why he's still out there. Also, Aaron Sanchez is another player I like as a bounce back candidate. I think the one place on our roster where we definitely need to improve, it's our pitching.
  5. At this point, I'd be ok with a Todd Frazier signing. He's a solid player who hit's both LHP and RHP pretty well, and is a solid defender. I'm hoping DS finds someone who's more of a long term solution, but for some reason, I don't see that happening.
  6. Don't love this off-season so far, like at all. He had nice numbers for Toronto last year, but is going to be 34 and has been bad most of his career.
  7. Definitely would sign him to a minor league deal.
  8. I'd like to see them target Jason Castro to be part of the catching tandem with Pina. Lefty batter, typically a good defender. Has been on winning teams most of career.
  9. He is set to make a lot of money the next 3 seasons, but odds are he rebounds this year to at least a .750 OPS with gold glove defense in CF. I'd rather not see him moved in a salary dump situation, I'd rather see him traded at the deadline if we are out of the race.
  10. I expect everything to turn around once Brent Suter is back.
  11. Looks like his average fastball velocity is down about 1.5 mph from last year. Here is a link on fangraphs https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=13183&position=P.
  12. 2019 Brewers Predictions Win-Loss Record: 95-67 Playoffs (Yes, No): Yes Highest Playoff Level Achieved: World Series All-Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Hader, Burnes, Arcia, Shaw Offensive Player of the Year: Christian Yelich Starting Pitcher of the Year: Corbin Burnes Relief Pitcher of the Year: Josh Hader Most Surprising Player: Orlando Arcia Most Disappointing Player: Hernan Perez
  13. I'd be thrilled and super surprised if we signed either Keuchel or Kimbrel, both would be pretty huge additions.
  14. I guess I don't understand the point of being realistic or negative about it, I would rather just take him for his word and hope that he really is feeling better than ever. I feel like I've been watching sports far too long to be totally surprised when a player either plays up or down to expectations. Go Jimmy Nelson, cheers to you becoming our ace again!
  15. I would be fairly surprised if we went in to spring with only our current options at 2b. There are too many upgrades available at this point in the offseason for us not to get one of them.
  16. I can't imagine Walker not getting a major league contract. He plays 2b, 3b and 1b and besides last season has been a consistently good player.
  17. agreed. been there done that. he is now older, and even less effective. He is older but was super productive in 2017 with the Brewers (.843 OPS). He's a really good hitter, and looking at his stats and reading about his year, I don't think he's totally washed up yet.
  18. Thames definitely wasn't the same player at the end of last season, but I've seen very few players who can carry an entire offense like him with some of his hot streaks. I think he is a valuable guy to keep around for 1b insurance, as a backup LF and PH. He also seems like a huge fan favorite and great clubhouse guy. However, if they can get a decent return for him, I totally understand the reason he would be traded.
  19. I think Neil Walker is a good bet to bounce back, and wouldn't be surprised to see him added on a 1 year deal for fairly cheap. I'd be way more excited about him than Harrison.
  20. I'd like to keep Pina, as I believe he is one of the best backup C's out there, and for insurance in case of injury.
  21. I really hope we aren't relying on Cory Spangenberg to be our answer at 2b. With LaMahieu joining the Yankees, I really hope Marwin is our answer, if not him than I'm ok with Neil Walker. Either way, I believe that DS will come up with a solution.
  22. Now that Lowrie and Dozier are off the board, I'm all aboard the Marwin Gonzalez train. He just seems like the perfect fit on this roster. Even if we bring up Hiura in June, we will still be able to get him tons of AB's. I would bet that Counsell is advocating for him, he is a weapon that could put our lineup over the top.
  23. What about bringing in Neil Walker again? I think he'd be super cheap and can play 2b,3b and 1b.
