  1. So I've heard James Loney, Ike Davis, Logan Morrison mentioned as targets if we don't re-sign Hart. Any other names? I don't want James Loney.
  2. To free up salary, we'd probably have to give up more. Maybe Aramis and Lohse would be a more likely deal.
  3. He had a 2.53 ERA and 11.4 K/9 after moving to the Dodgers last season... Is this just because people hate him as a former Cub? Obviously he shouldn't be the closer, and obviously they shouldn't give him much $, but he could help the bullpen. He also had 8 bb/9.
  4. If you could trade Weeks and Lohse for Cliff Lee would you do it? He has a lot remaining for the next 3 seasons, but would be the ace we would be looking for.
  5. I think Smith will make rotation as the #5 starter w/ Gallardo, Lohse, Estrada and Peralta.
  6. I'd rather have Axford back, even though that won't happen.
  7. I haven't heard, is this new Will Smith guy scared of anything?
  8. It's greater than 0%, but probably not by much. We definitely drew this go-round's Group of Death. I really don't think it's that far fetched to think US can make the 2nd round. I don't think Portugal or Ghana are powerhouse teams, and can definitely be beaten. IMO it's also a big advantage to have to play Germany 3rd, when they will probably have already advanced.
  9. What am I missing about Ike Davis? He's 26, raked in the minors, has a career .768 OPS, including a 32 home run season in 2012. I know he had a rough one last year, but isn't he a potential buy low candidate?
  10. I'm guessing Ridnour and Neal are being shopped, and could be an option for Miami. However, Neal and anybody else that signed in the off-season can't be traded until December 12th. It's nice to see the young guys get some serious minutes the last couple games.
  11. I'd be good w/ either Morse or Hart on a one or two year deal. I think those two are the best bets, I'd also be somewhat intrigued by Morrison or Ike Davis.
  12. I think it's between Ike Davis, Logan Morrison and Corey Hart. There's not really a lot of free agent options besides Morales.
  13. I'd be ok w/ giving LoMo a chance, as long as we didn't give up any value.
  14. I'm kind of surprised at how slow this off-season has been for the Brewers. So far all we've done is traded Badenhop, and not even signed a minor league free agent. I'm guessing we'll take care of the 1b position, but what else is going to happen?
  15. I guess if they did it, they would hope that he is more than a replacement player.
  16. What's the deal w/ Morrison? His power really seems to have dropped off for the last couple seasons.
  17. So was Tommy Hanson by the Angels. I thought he was going to be an absolute stud. He's had a lot of injuries, but I still wouldn't mind taking a shot on him.
  18. I like the idea of picking up Jeff Baker, didn't know he was that good vs. LHP.
  19. I was impressed w/ Traveon Jackson at the end of the game vs. Saint Louis. He hit some big time shots. The Badgers are fun to watch this season. Next season's going to be even more fun though w/ them losing only Brust (assuming Dekker stays).
  20. If he has a lot of value, I'm ok w/ trading Aoki. What do you think we could get for him?
  21. I'd like to see Jason Rogers get a chance, he crushes LHP and apparently looked pretty good playing both corner outfield positions and he's spent some time playing 3b in instructional league and in the AFL. Jones and Rogers might be a good platoon.
  22. I don't hate the idea of keeping Aoki around as the 4th outfielder, bench bat. He is fairly cheap, and would probably get enough bats spelling Davis, Gomez and Braun. I think he would be one of the better, if not the best 4th outfielder in MLB. He would also provide good insurance if an injury occurs. I'm optimistic that if Hart is resigned, and we stay fairly healthy, the Brewers can make some noise this season.
  23. Mr. Kohl gave Hammond a 3 year extension after a 22-18 start last season, so I believe he has 2 more years left. The NBA, where amazing happens! Did anybody see the link to the new billboard, and fundraiser? It's pretty cool, and already has raised over $2k in less than one day. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/save-our-bucks-com-billboard-project Edit: Kelly Dwyer just posted an article about it in his Ball Don't Lie blog on Yahoo. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/frustrated-bucks-fans-raising-money-billboard-begging-team-172147467--nba.html
  24. I'd be excited to get Ike Davis, as long as we didn't have to give up too much for him. I think a platoon w/ him vs. RHP and Jason Rogers or Sean Halton vs. LHP's could work.
  25. A few fans created a website that talks about the Bucks history and the path they would like the team to take to keep the Bucks. I think it's definitely worth checking out, its http://www.saveourbucks.com
