  1. Holy moly double whammy for Cubs' fans. Fuku K's and Kendall throws out A-ram.
  2. That's how to treat a 3-run lead Soupy! nibble nibble.
  3. Man, Suppan sure has some meatball moments. Ew.
  4. At least Hardy made him work a little bit.
  5. http://images.yuku.com/image/png/df035a8290ad84ed51342382dbbfb29b52396a8_t.gif YES.
  6. Gagne picks up a W. Haha. But seriously, everything other than Gagne was incredible today.
  7. Holy moly, what a well-pitched game.
  8. Bill Hall with an infamous mindless mistake. Unbelievable.
  9. Come on you guys, we were all hoping to see the epic McClung/Lieber matchup on Opening Day! Should've just postponed the thing.
  10. I like this weblog entry on JSOnline. "Maybe, but don't bet on it. The National Weather Service is calling on a 90% chance of rain today for the Brewers/Cubs opener at Wrigley Field. "Occasional rain and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., then periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 p.m." That's how the Weather Service puts it. We're not sure what the difference is between "occasional" and "periods of," but neither looks too good for a 1:20 p.m. first pitch. And the forecast for Miller Park? Dry and empty."
  11. Why do they keep lying to us about MLB.tv (not Woogie, the official website says they'll be on MLB.tv)? Right on the front page it says "Watch live on MLB.tv" yet when you go to the multimedia page there's clearly no link to a MLB.tv broadcast. I keep getting psyched up for watching baseball and just get disappointed.
  12. I drafted Marmol on my fantasy team hoping he'd win the job...but no one gives a rip about anyone's fantasy team, so I'll shut up. Wood must be looking awfully good for Lou to go with him over Marmol. But either way that bullpen's pretty tough in late innings.
  13. Man, I thought I'd accidentally clicked on "giantsfan.net"
  14. What a play by Escobar...that was DEEP in the hole.
  15. Man, that was nice changeup from Villy to strike out Hall there.
  16. Then you'd be really speechless in regards to Felix Pie, oooooouggghhh...
  17. This is the reason I want Bushy in the rotation, he's an absolute badass. 19 pitches, 19 strikes. So freaking gritty. And that beard is manly. And now he has a base hit. Words cannot describe the man that is Dave Bush.
  18. I'll do PBP again, because I'm bored and have nothing else to do. Top 1st Inning Weeks - strikeout (1 out) Kapler - walk Gross - single to RF, Kapler to 2B Hall - walk, bases loaded Hart - strikeout (2 out) Munson - strikeout (3 out) Micah Owings - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K Bottom 1st Inning Bonifacio - groundout to P (1 out) Burke - walk Jackson - reaches on error (H) by Bill Hall, Burke to 2B Young - flies out to CF (2 out) Snider - 4-pitch walk, bases loaded Salazar - 3-run double Jeff Suppan - 0.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 0 K Ugh, nevermind. I have to go to work.
  19. I won't judge any pitcher until I see them. I will say that it's difficult for any pitcher to get 4-6 outs in an inning. I'm not trying to campaign for Cappy's spot in the rotation because I'd rather have Bush or Parra in there (come on, Villanueva has to be a shoo-in by now, seriously), but the poor guy just can't catch a break, even in freaking spring training.
  20. Well, the good news is it doesn't sound like they're hitting the ball very hard...then again, it is the Giants.
  21. Okay, that's all I can do for PBP, I've got to come up with dinner for the family tonight. Bush kept the ball down really well after the first inning (as usual), and Parra's been just as good as he's been all spring. Hopefully they grab their ninth win.
