  1. Very little is not the same thing as zero. Turang sucking wouldn't really have an impact on an extension for Adames either. Turang's play has very little to do with the decision to trade or extend Adames. The cost to extend Adames is the main driving point in a trade or an extension for Adames. Turang's play is not going to change that. Turang playing good is basically a bonus. The Brewers could go with both Adames and Turang and just get draft picks for Adames also. That is another scenario that is possible. Again Turang's production has very little to do with an extension or trade the main driver is the cost to extend Adames.
  2. I don't believe the Brewers will do this because that is a lot of money to tie up in a player to not play for your team. If all 4 were to be legitimate players and all pan out then sure this could work. Though I think you are looking at a lower payroll if this were to happen.
  3. Right the main reason Adames gets traded has less to do about Turang. It lowers the sting of losing Adames but Turang doing whatever this year has very little to do with Adames being traded. Turang isn't pushing Adames out the door but more Adames and his pending free agency is pushing Adames out the door. Adames and Woodruff are probably the most likely extension candidates. I really love Turang and think he will be a good SS but he is not pushing Adames out of SS right now.
  4. Nothing asinine about this but your previous statement is asinine. The reason Adames would be traded has very little to do what Turang does this year and more about Adames only having 1-year left and the cost to extend him.
  5. If one gets traded it will probably be Frelick. I don't see anyone right now who the Brewers would go after in a trade involving Frelick.
  6. Mostly just comparing him to Cirillo and Loretta offensively. Defensively it is hard to find a comp for Turang. Turner may actually be a good comp defensively for Turang. Swanson is also another good comp but I am not sure Turang is as good defensively as Swanson. This is just asinine.
  7. I believe Law has been in love with Valerio for awhile now.
  8. I have been a Turang defender for awhile now I guess. At the highest possible outcome for Turang is probably Trea Turner but he needs to develop the power to be at Turner's level. That is still yet to be seen. More than likely he will be a Jeff Cirillo or Mark Loretta who can play SS and 2B. I really believe Turang can be a .300/.440/.800 type of a hitter which is extremely valuable even if his power never develops. At worst you are looking at a 2B or SS version of Juan Pierre.
  9. The only option for a trade for Yelich without the Brewers paying a portion of Yelich's contract is with the Angels for Rendon. The only other trade possibility would be with the Yankees for LeMahieu but I think the Brewers would have to pay a portion of Yelich's contract for that to work. In regards to Frelick the only way I see him on the team this year is if someone gets hurt or if one of Mitchell or Wiemer struggle at the MLB level something like a .125 average for a month. I don't see the Brewers making a change from Mitchell or Wiemer if they are not hitting early and it will take some time before they move on to the next one. For the 2024 season that should be an interesting season and I will assume Chourio starts the year in AAA next year with a call up by June. Yelich is probably the primary DH at that point once that happens. Ultimately I think Yelich is going to be the Brewers future DH even if one of the prospects get traded.

  11. I would still like to see Yelich lower in the batting order. Preferably where Turang or Mitchell have been in.
  12. I think he gets traded if that were to happen. The better question is if he drops his k% to 20-25% with an OPS around 900 then it becomes interesting. If he is at a 1.100 OPS in AAA and still has a 30+ K% then I think he will be traded over keeping him on the roster.
  13. Yes the Brewers are blacked out across the entire state with the MLB App.
  14. This umpire is just bad. Missing clear strikes in the zone......
  15. It was a strike umpire is just blind or has an extremely tight strike zone but will more than likely be a strike in the next half inning because reasons.
  16. Uggg Peralta with the opening yips like usual. It's like he gets over hyped and doesn't settle down until the 2nd or 3rd inning.
  17. Legally no. The only way to stream MLB Network is through a login through one of the cable/satellite providers.
  18. Yelich needs to be moved to the bottom of the order like 8th or 9th he just suck’s completely.
  19. The automated strike zone is the next major rule change coming from MLB per Manfred. https://theathletic.com/4362682/2023/03/29/rob-manfred-automated-strike-zone/
  20. If you use the baseball trade values site as a starting point this trade doesn't work for the Brewers though I think the BTV site is low on Leiter. They have Leiter at 12.4 but I think his median value should be higher somewhere around the 20's I believe. Now Jung it all depends on how you think his should has healed and if he will still be the same player before he tore is labrum. It has been a year since the surgery so it maybe hard to tell yet so his value being about 30 sounds about right maybe you could go lower to 25. With Leiter you have to believe his '22 stats in AA were a one time thing and he should improve from that. He does have some command issues so maybe the 12.4 is more accurate though I think I would still put him closer to 15 as his median value. Currently Burnes has an excess value of 78.3. Which even if you adjust Jung and Leiter together that only gets you to about half of Burnes value. You have to fill in the rest of the value with other prospects. I don't think the Rangers are a realistic team to trade Burnes to. Woodruff is probably a more realistic option for the Rangers. Something like Jung, Leiter, Figuereo and Teodo (RHP) for Woodruff would be a better deal and within the values that each player projects. That would be the Rangers 1, 5, 19 and 21st ranked prospects for Woodruff. But that all depends on the valuation for Jung and Leiter. I think Leiter is a little low and Jung may also be a bit low. Still it is really hard to get to the valuation of Burnes without the Rangers putting in basically their top 5 prospects for Burnes and that still may not be enough value wise.
  21. Is that an or because I don't think you can get all three and I wouldn't really be all that interested in Rocker. I think Rocker will be a reliever and not a starter.
  22. Living in Phoenix I miss Menards all we have here are Home Depot, Lowe's and Harbor Freight (worst store ever!). If someone ever opened a Menards in Phoenix they would make a lot of money as Lowe's and Home Depot just do not cut it for some things.
  23. Yeah he had a near 6 ERA coming into the All Star break. The main drivers in that sim for his weird year were the home runs and increased walks. The sim also doesn't really like Frelick at all he only hit .250/.330/.300 in AAA which I think that would be a really down year for him. The sim also really dislikes Yelich having hit near .225 with no power and just a bit better than league average in OBP. The sim loved Winker, Tellez, Contreras and Mitchell. Adames had a similar season as he had in 2022. The sim also predicted the Brewers trading Urias to the Roayls for Barlow and prospects, Wade Miley to the Giants for Joc Pederson and a couple of prospects and Hiura to the Rockies for McMahon, Blackmon and $4m. I am not sure OOTP's trades are all that realistic to be honest.
  24. I just did an Out of The Park sim using the '24 version. Brewers win the NL Central going 97-65. The game does not like Frelick and Yelich. The game also loves Peralta. I haven't sim'd the playoffs yet but I am going to expect the Brewers to not make it to the WS.
