Great news about the LF bleacher seats. I have never liked sitting behind or by the dugout especially at Miller Park I have never liked the views from there. I have always preferred the ones farther down the base line or behind the plate. I haven't sat in the bleachers since the Brewers played at County Stadium and that was when Molitor and Yount were still on the team. -
Every time I see that play I don't see how Alou could have caught that ball. It looks as though Alou was short on his jump and he jumped way to early to even be able to catch that ball. The ball would have hit the railing just to the left of Bartman so I still can not see how Alou would have caught that ball.

On board video or does he have a video card? A video card would be something attached to the PCI, AGP, or PCI-X slot normally on the bottom half of the motherboard. If no card is in the slot then it is on board video. It maybe the monitor or it might be the on board video going bad. Only way to know for sure is to test a different monitor or test the monitor with another PC. It could also be a driver issue you might want to try and update the video drivers on the computer first. With what you are describing I am going to go with the video card or the on board video being bad though it could just be the monitor dying. How old is the monitor? -
I am not sure if this is accurate but the rates that I have seen for the Heritage Park garage shows that it is $10/day or $12/event. Thanks for the link that helped a lot. I am going to be sitting in the LF Bleachers just ordered my tickets off of stub hub for about $45 front row in section 143. Hopefully Braun, Weeks, or Hart hit a home run and I can catch it. I must comment on how cheap that was to get playoff tickets. I think in '08 I paid more for about the same location albeit a lot higher up at Miller Park.

I wouldn't be surprised if K-Rod signs a 1-year deal with the Rays in the offseason even if the Brewers offer him arbitration. I believe the Rays are the perfect fit for K-Rod as they don't have a closer and they will be looking for one and will give K-Rod that one year deal to close. It is almost to perfect actually. The Angels and Rangers also make sense for K-Rod on a 1-year deal though I think the Rangers may go more than 1-year for K-Rod. I believe the Brewers are going to offer K-Rod arbitration and he will reject it and sign with either the Rangers or the Rays. -

Blanks has bounced up and down on the Padres for the past three years. He can generate some power and is a right handed bat at worst he would be a platoon option with Gamel at 1B. He would be a decent power bat off the bench also. I'm not sure on his defense but he should be better than Fielder as he is listed as 6'6". He will be a bigger and better target at 1B than Prince currently is. He does strike out a lot though but he does have gap to gap power. He was ranked as the Padres 2nd best prospect behind Latos in 2009 so he is a legitimate prospect. I am just not sure what his value is as he has been rather disappointing in the majors so far. I believe he is a good buy low candidate who could easily be a good platoon partner with Gamel at 1B or even take the job as the 1B from Gamel completely. I wonder if the Padres would be open to trading Kyle Blanks with Rizzo being their 1B of the future. I wonder if a Green or Gindl for Blanks trade would work.

Haudricourt has it backwards. K-Rod will take a 1-year deal to be a CLOSER which is obviously not going to happen with the Brewers so he will reject the arbitration offer. -
I actually see Melvin trading away some pieces on the major league club in the offseason to fix some positions of need.

Unknown and I doubt they did. The only thing that is known is that the contract was reconstructed so K-Rod would hit free agency I doubt that includes a no arby offer. -
Corey Hart as unsung hero/key to playoffs

There are two failed trades by both the Braves and the Giants last year. Imagine if the Braves or the Giants would have made a trade for Hart last season. If the Braves would have made the trade they would be more than two games up in the wild card. The Giants probably still wouldn't have made the playoffs but Sanchez for Hart would have been a smart trade and would have looked favorably on their part at this time. The best trade for both teams would have been the trade from the Braves. With the Brewers getting a good young starting pitcher and the Braves getting their corner OF that they are lacking. I am not opposed to trade Hart in the coming off season either if it helps the Brewers down the road. The Red Sox make the most sense as a trading partner. -
I don't think the Brewers match up well with the Dodgers plus the Red Sox would be all over Ethier if he does become available. I do not see how the Brewers could compete with the Red Sox prospect wise.

I would rather go with McGehee at 1B with Gamel as a platoon before even thinking about signing Cuddyer as he is going to cost more than McGehee, Gamel, and Green combined. I just don't see any upside to signing Cuddyer at all.

I think Sanchez will be more available this off season than Morrison will be. But for Morrison it will cost a Braun or Gallardo type talent. I guess I should of had put that part in my post earlier. I just don't believe the Brewers have that kind of talent to give up.

Kohl's should definitely have some and I would guess any of the sporting clothing stores in the malls should have some also.

The Brewers are going to have to overpay for Barmes as the Astros are going to try and resign him. I actually doubt he even makes it to free agency. A trade is more likely for a SS than a free agency signing.

While Loney isn't a FA he maybe non tendered as the Dodgers do have a young player who can take over in Jerry Sands and would obviously cost a lot less than Loney would.

Trumbo does have a spot. Trumbo will play primarily 1B next year for the Angeles and Morales if he does come back will play almost entirely as the DH.

That would be a horrible deal. Lowrie is just not worth anything at all and Anderson has very little if any value. If I were trading with Boston and trading Marcum here are the players I would want: Xander Bogaerts and Drake Britton. Bogaerts may not be a short stop in the future as he fills out but he should be able to handle 3B or a corner OF spot. He definitely has the tools offensively to play either 3B or a corner OF spot. Very comparable to Hanley Ramirez but less so on the defensive side and that is why he may have to be moved to 3B. The earliest you would see any of these guys would be in late 2013 with Britton and probably somewhere around 2014-2015 for Bogaerts. But this would be the best trade the Brewers could hope for other than getting Banuelos. I don't believe the Brewers could get both Bogaerts and Britton for Marcum. Maybe a Britton, Anderson, and another lower player for Marcum. Bogaerts is the real target the Brewers should go after in Boston as he may come expendable if they believe he is a SS as Iglesias has that locked down. Iglesias is another reason why Lowrie has absolutely no trade value as the Red Sox may just let Lowrie go for nothing.

Ubaldo Jimenez had a lot of question marks on him. I was surprised that the Rockies got what they did from the Indians when they traded him. But yeah Marcum for Banuelos wouldn't happen as Banuelos is going to be a great pitcher but if the Yankees don't make it far in the playoffs this year and it is because of their rotation I could see them over paying for a starting pitcher. I am not sure that would mean Banuelos would be available but Montero could be as Austin Romine is the better defensive catcher and the Yankees could just stick with Martin for another year and have Romine be the backup catcher or be in AAA next year. So a Marcum for Montero trade would be more likely than any other trades. Nova is going to be in the Yankees rotation as their #4 or #5 next year so I don't see the Yankees trading him as they need starting pitching more than anything and it wouldn't make sense to trade him for Marcum as that just leaves a hole they were trying to fill. The Marlins are not going to trade both Morrison and Dominguez. For the Marlins to trade both Morrison and Dominguez to the Brewers would cost a lot more than Marcum and Gamel. You would be talking a trade like Peralta, Fiers, Gamel, Green, add everyone else from the top 15 of the Brewers prospect list to this for Morrison and Dominguez. There is no way that trade would even get past a pick up of the phone from the Marlins GM.

Casey McGehee's struggles: how much leash does he get?

First part is incorrect. Here is a little guessing game. Guess which one is McGehee's out of zone swing percentage. Is it A.) 29.2% B.) 40.6% C.) 34.7% D.) 31.6% He maybe out of balance and his bat speed may have slowed down which would explain for the poor hitting by McGehee. It is correct, though. His O-swing% is 29.2%, but his Z-swing% is only 60.8% (career low). Only 46% of his pitches seen are in the zone (also a career low), so he is seeing more non-strikes and swinging at them at the same % as he has in his career -- hence, he's swung at way more balls this year than in previous seasons. Casey has completely lost the ability to hit for power, his ISO is lower than every player with 200 PA's on the team, except for Kotsay. But Casey's O-swing% and Z-swing% are within his career norms. His Zone% is only 1.1% less than last year so that doesn't really explain anything at all. It probably has more to do with McGehee not generating any power on the pitches that he has been swinging at in the zone than anything else. His zone contact percentage is the same as previous years so it is not like he is swinging at bad pitches all the time and that is the reason why he is struggling this year. I believe the problem with Casey is that he is not generating any power at all in his swings when he is making contact in the zone.
