  1. Those were some bad calls against Mookie.
  2. It was against Rojas who isn’t a good hitter. He should have been able to get him out.
  3. MLB needs to enforce making the umpires explain why a ruling is made. This isn’t the 1920’s anymore. We have the technology to do this. Every other sport does this but MLB.
  4. Ortiz is out of the Dodgers challenge or throw to 2B. Ortiz went back towards 1B.
  5. Vikings season starting like a Vikings playoff game. https://www.startribune.com/vikings-rookie-quarterback-jj-mccarthy-will-miss-2024-season-after-knee-surgery/601109277
  6. He wouldn’t even make it to the Brewers to select him.
  7. That is the big question that no one has an answer to. Alternative fuel options are probably a better option but those options are even further out.
  8. I worked at an old hospital in HS that was then shut down due to the new hospital being built but they kept the old folks home up. Working in the cafeteria of that place and late at night all alone some weird stuff happened. Like the magnetic doors opening and closing on their own. Voices coming from the operating rooms that were chained and locked up. Lights randomly turning on when there was no power to that portion of the hospital. Feeling like someone is touching you but no one else was around. Creepy stuff man and oh yeah the occasional old person escaping from the retirement home and them randomly just ramming their wheel chair into the elevator door and freaking you out when delivering the food to the retirement home. I think that freaked me out more than the other stuff.
  9. It will probably be available to non super premium EV’s as an upgrade option. The way Samsung is describing this it sounds like it will be a premium premium upgrade. https://www.pcmag.com/news/samsung-to-mass-produce-solid-state-batteries-for-super-premium-evs-by
  10. They sound extremely expensive and won’t be available until 2027 and that is for the super premium EV’s. Estimating some issues with manufacturing and other engineering issues probably puts them closer to 2028-2030. Then to make them more affordable it wouldn’t be until around 2035-2040 when the consumer finally starts to see reduced prices. When supply starts to meet or exceed demand. This is probably a more aggressive timeline at least for the cost to come down. If these will even be available to non super premium EV’s. This sounds like it will be only available to the Lamborghini or Ferrari type of EV’s. So EV’s in the $100k-200k range initially and then eventually to the other EV’s at some point in time. I wouldn’t expect mass production until like 2035 for non premium EV’s.
  11. Why wasn't Turang running? This team is just not aggressive enough on the bases in the second half. It is like they completely stopped running a lot sometime after June.
  12. Completely disagree that wasn't a tough play at 1B it was fairly routine. Hoskins just sucks defensively at 1B.
  13. That is a scoop that even a below average 1B makes 99% of the time. That is on Hoskins there.
  14. The Jays are not trading Gausman unless they are trading Bichette and Vlad in other deals. It is very unlikely for the Jays to trade anyone this off season until Bichette and Vlad issue is resolved for the Jays. They are either traded or signed long term. If the Jays do make trades in the off season it will be to add to their MLB roster not subtract from it. The Jays are more likely to do what the Brewers did during Fielders final season in 2008.
  15. After yesterday's game the Brewers have the 3rd best run differential with only 1 run separating them from the #2 spot and 7 runs from the #1 team. The Brewers are actually below their expected win loss for the first time since 2016.
  16. After this series against the Royals the Cardinals only have 3 games against teams below .500 for the month of August. That is 15 games against teams over .500. If the Cardinals want to catch the Brewers this month they have to sweep the Brewers and they can only lose at most 1 game against the Reds. This is going to be a difficult month for the Cardinals.
  17. They won’t get the #1 pick and the best pick they can get is #10.
  18. Just me or is EDLC not a good SS for how fast he is? Probably would be a better OF than a SS IMHO.
  19. Adames should get a contract similar to Baez. So I don't believe the Brewers will be able to keep him.
  20. Yuck. Other than Soto not sure there is anyone I would give a large contract to. Buehler on a 1-year would be interesting but I think he just resigns with the Dodgers and maybe Soroka as a reclamation project on a minor league contract. Kikuchi on a 2 or 3-year deal would be good also.
  21. He probably won’t opt out but there is a possibility that he does. He would need to get to above his career norms. I don’t think that will happen so he is more than likely back for next year.
  22. Probably something like a .300+ average and 30 HR’s. A 30/30 season would also work.
  23. If the Brewers win today that puts them 1 game back of the idle Dodgers for the #2 spot in the playoffs. Which could make next weeks series against the Dodgers a pivotal series for the #2 spot. Then depending on the Phillies and D-backs game tonight the Brewers could be either 3 or 4 games out of the #1 spot. The #2 spot is definitely still in play for the Brewers but the Phillies would need to go on an extended cold streak with the Brewers going on an extended hot streak at the same time. I don't think the #1 seed is in play.
  24. I think Mitchell has a lower ceiling though I think his ceiling is someone like Grady Sizemore. Which matches with the injuries.
