    Sometimes plans don’t go as expected. You put your strategy in place and you execute sometimes your strategy fails. It is not like they failed extremely hard here. They missed out on one player in their 10 picks that counted. Payne I also believe is better than some are giving him credit for. Going back to the 2016 draft would you have picked the 5th 6th or 7th ranked pick at the 5th pick or the 90th ranked prospect at the 5th pick? Sometimes the rankings just absolutely suck and don’t really match up with the players true talents. College bats tend to be ranked higher than their HS counterparts even if they are very similar in terms of talent level. The rankings tend to be more conservative and favor college players over HS players.

    The HOF game should never be played it is a waste of time. Either the NFL needs to move this out about a week or two or just not play it at all. The players are not ready to play yet and no one good ever plays in it. It is like watching the practice squads play against each other.

    Do you think Adames is a good middle of the order bat? There really wasn’t a replacement for Yelich at the trade deadline. I am not sure why some think there was someone to replace him. Robert was probably the only one who could provide you with Yelich like performance available. The other option Vlad was never an option as the Jays never made him available. The question is then do you give up the prospects for Robert given his injury history?

    Been calling it for awhile now but today's meeting almost guarantees we only see one rate drop this year if there will be one. Powell hinted at a rate drop but didn't say there will be one. I don't think he would declare one anyways if he even knew there would be one. Most likely rate drop will be in September and it is looking like a .25 drop. They could push it out to October or November which I believe would be Powell's preferred timeline so it would be after the elections. Then we get into a maybe another rate drop in February or March of 2025. It is still possible that they do nothing this year especially if the employment numbers don't change all that much or improve.

    It is funny that the White Sox didn't trade all of their players they could have like the Marlins did. The White Sox may have the worst record in MLB this season but they still won't get the #1 pick as the best pick they can have is #10 since they picked in the top 6 in this years draft. Draft rule changes with new CBA WWW.MLB.COM The new Collective Bargaining Agreement between MLB and the MLB Players Association contains several changes to the Draft, most notably the creation of a lottery for the top six... Is tanking dead? Probably not because it resets for the '26 draft for the White Sox but then they won't be able to pick again in the top 6 until the '28 draft. The CBA isn't clear on if it is their actual pick or if it is their ranking. I think it is their actual pick so it will alternate every other year and every two years for teams like the Brewers.

    I don't believe the Yankees have the prospects to get Skubal. Apparently the Tigers asked for Holliday plus from the Orioles for Skubal.

    Nope all but two of the HR's he has given up have been in the strike zone and 3 of them have been over the heart of the plate. Well 5 if you include the low middle ones. These are all against RHB's also so the up and in and down and in are probably your unlucky ones especially the down and in one.

    You don't need to know anything in a Deadpool movie. There isn't much lore behind him so not much to screw up unless you do something dumb like what Fox did. This movie is mostly about making fun of the Marvel movies and movies in general. Again this movie is barely serious at all. Just an action comedy movie. The first Deadpool is still the best one but this was better than the 2nd one. Some of the jokes were good but a lot of ones that fall flat. If you want characters and character development this is not the movie for you. This is just a dumb movie making fun of itself and everything Marvel has done for the past 2-3 years.

    That is just unfair. That is like watching a HS senior playing against a pee wee football team. The other girls are like ants compared to her though fairly impressive of how fast she can move at her size, kind of reminds me of how fast Fielder was for his size.

    That is every Deadpool movie so far. It is not a serious movie and the movie doesn't take itself all that serious either. Probably could have cut some time off of the movie but that is current Hollywood right now. You either get garbage or flaming garbage take it or leave it. It is funny that Godzilla Minus One was better than the Hollywood Godzilla and Kong movie. It is kind of like video games right now the AAA producers are producing nothing but garbage while all of the indie developers are making far better games. The same with movies the major studios are just releasing garbage after garbage but getting praised for it by the media critics while the YouTube critics and movie goers tear them a new one. It is almost like the media critics are afraid they will get black listed and won't be able to get early premiere tickets if they don't agree with the garbage. Also how are these movies even getting by the test audiences? Especially the Disney garbage. Are they just picking people who will agree with them? Seems weird that we went from fairly decent story telling and character building to brain damaged drivel in only a few years.

    A lot are over valuing Wiemer. Wiemer had very little value around MLB. There was an article by Bowden on the Athletic where he asked about Wiemer to some execs and they said he was maybe a 5th OF. The valuation for Wiemer is probably closer to $1mm in excess value which is about what the Brewers gave up as Junis and Montas contracts just about even out.

    I would rather see Weeks play 1B or 3B than Davis.

    This was the season to be a seller definitely. If the Brewers weren't playing so well it would have been a rather large haul for Williams definitely more than what the Brewers got for Hader. Possibly two players in the 25-50 range plus another prospect in the 100 range. Not sure who would have been able to pay that but that is what Williams could have fetched.

    It is remarkable how bad the Braves have been for about a month now and they are still in the #1 WC spot. If you think the Brewers were in a tailspin then the Braves are an exploding rocket.

    Chourio is ineligible for a pick if he wins due to him signing the contract in the offseason before his first game.

    Yelich doesn't steal all that much so no.

    The Brewers have the second best base running in all of MLB. I am not sure there is much to improve on there. It feels like you are just upset that there are outs on the base paths without even looking at anything and calling it too aggressive. I believe they are not aggressive enough on the base paths and need to be taking more risk.

    When you have a large enough lead you can do that. I probably wouldn't have pinch hit for Mitchell there but I get what they are trying to do. Sanchez is an important piece to them off the bench. He was the only power off the bench today and probably will be going forward. So they need to get him AB's when they can.

    Mitchell seems like he is heating up with 2 hits yesterday and 2 hits today so far.
