  1. Back to the playoffs, well done Bucks!
  2. I definitely cannot live without the air conditioner. It's very humid and hot in Singapore all year round, the air conditioner is probably the greatest invention ever over here. I really miss the winter seasons in Milwaukee...
  3. Gomez is too aggressive at the plate, he needs to stay calm and stay within the strikezone.
  4. The game starts at 2.10am, staying up late to watch this one. Think I better go make a pot of coffee just in case. Go Yo! Go Brewers!
  5. When I think of Soup, I think of game 4 of the 2008 NLDS. That decision to start Soup over Yo in game 4 of the 2008 NLDS bothered me greatly then and even now. I hated that decision when it was annouced, I definitely would've started Yo in a must win game over Soup and it's not even a tough call. As it turns out, Soup gave up 5 ERs in 3 innings before being yanked out of the game, Yo replaced him and pitched 3 shutout innings giving up only 1 hit. The Philles went on to win the game 6-2, and the world series. I think we could have won game 4 if we had started Yo instead, and CC was scheduled to pitch game 5. After 26 years, it would've been great to win a playoff series... That decision to start Soup over Yo has to the worst decision in Sveum's managerial career, I still don't understand why he did it.
  6. Revenge is sweet for the Bucks. Very nice Win without Delfino. Go Bucks!
  7. The lineup I'd probably go with to begin the season: 1. Weeks 2. Zaun 3. Braun 4. Prince 5. McGehee 6. Edmonds 7. Escobar 8. Gomez 9. pitcher
  8. Think I like Prince's "ultimate clean-up man" ad best, especially the part when he's cleaning out Attanasio's office. It might turn out to be true more ways than one... Most humorous ad of the bunch, Prince is a natural. A close second is Yo's ad, very humorous too.
  9. I think the Brewers should just release him before ST ends and move on. He looked so lost and awful at the plate, and his defense has been declining since last season.
  10. My bad on the calculation. 80% of $4.8M = $3.84M savings. If Hart is replaced with someone from the minors, the savings would actually be more like $3.5M plus. That's a lot of money considering the economy and how many teams are tightening their belts this season. DM has probably hit very close to his payroll limit, that $3.5M in additional payroll flexibility could come useful around trade deadline to strengthen the team for the playoff run.
  11. I suspect Hart could be hitting like last year's Hall this season. As such I prefer to have Heether take the final roster spot over Hart, and he's paid over 10x less. It's not too late to release Hart and save $3M that can be better use elsewhere. Inglett adds OF depth if Hart is gone. I agree that Macha should play the best players, which is why I think Edmonds should start over Hart. The Brewers are looking to contend, performance should be a key criteria in Macha's decision making. Hart is performing like the worst player, like he doesn't deserve to make the team. One last thing, Hart had the whole winter to sort out his vision issue, it annoys me that he waited till ST to get it done. He seems poorly perpared for ST and for baseball. Escober and Gomez played winter ball, their performance is ST is pretty good, they seem ready to start the season well.
  12. I hope Narveson is a starter, I think he deserves it and could give the team a better chance of winning.
  13. Well, you can always cut Hart before ST is over and save 80% of his contract. This way both Edmonds and Gerut should get more playing time. The money saved could be use to add payroll flexibility for future personnel move should an opportunity arise before trade deadline.
